This is my go to mascara. I have sensitive eyes and many mascaras cause irritation. I also wear contacts which further increases my eye irritation. I've has no issues with this mascara. I purchased the Glam Brown, as I have red hair. The color is amazing.. not too dark, not too light. Minimal clumping with a great Pictures show premascara and post mascara. I wear a lighter amount only on my top lashes

Really like this mascara! It separates the lashes and goes on well. No clumps, which is great! The black is dark enough, you almost don’t need a second coat (especially if you’re looking for a more natural look). A second coat really makes your lashes fuller and very pretty. I noticed it does have a little bit of a scent to it. It’s not bad, but for sensitive eyes, noses, you may notice it applying it, but once it’s dry, you don’t notice it anymore. Definitely recommend this! Just really love that it separates the lashes so well, appear fuller and no awful clumping!

It's my every day, go-to mascara! I've gone through at least 20 different brands/types of mascara in my life and this one is one of my favorites! Pros: - Price (duh!) - Looks great and extends length and volume of eyelashes like no other! (Without going over-the-top. i.e good for any occasion) - I haven't had any issues with skin irritation or difficulty in removing this mascara Cons: - None that I've experienced.

I have been using the Maybelline "Volum" series mascaras for years and have always loved them. Although I have had good luck with a few other Maybelline mascaras (and much less luck with any other brands), I always keep coming back to this particular one in whatever color happens to be available or on sale. My eyelashes have decent thickness and length, but unfortunately they are light brown turning to blond at the tips. Without mascara, at best it looks as if I have a little fuzz around my eyes. The Maybelline Volum Express makes the most striking difference of just about any mascara I have ever used. I have added a photo to illustrate, though I am not sure if the difference would be as striking for someone with shorter or more sparse eyelashes. Other features I love: -The wand does an excellent job coating and separating lashes with little to no clumping. Sometimes I have to do a little more work to get the lashes separated using an eyelash comb or the tip of my fingernail or whatever, but that is usually minimal. Further, I find I only need one coat. -The product has a lifespan at least as long -- and typically longer -- compared with other mascaras I have used. Occasionally I have a tube that only makes it 4 weeks, but I sometimes get as much as 3 months of use. If the mascara becomes clumpy, I can eke out a little more life by completely cleaning off the wand with a dry tissue, squeezing out any old, dry gunk on the wand for a fresh start. -I strongly prefer the waterproof variety because I find the non-waterproof ones tend to flake on me. Under normal conditions, I do not have a problem with this product flaking. Although this review is for the Classic Black, I will also be posting the same review for the Glam Black because frankly I cannot tell the difference between the two colors. Both seem to look and work the same for me.

I've always struggled with finding a mascara that doesn't fade, irritate, or end up underneath my eyes during my busy workdays. This mascara is the answer to that problem. It's got the "old school" style wand that I love, too. I can't say anything bad about this mascara. I feel like I should stick up on it in case it ever gets discontinued.

The waterproof version of this product is truly waterproof. You can't wash it off with just soap and water, either. I have to use an oil-based eye-makeup remover. I found that Palmer's bran vitamin E moisturizing oil works fabulously to remove this mascara with ease. I don't contribute to wrinkles by rubbing at my eyes with a acidic or harsh makeup remover. Palmers oil is the best. Just wet a wash cloth with hot water after you take off your make up with Palmers oil, and wipe your eyes to remove excess oil. It is actually good for wrinkles around your eyes to use a Vit E oil to remove makeup. It doesn't dry out your skin.

One of my favorite mascaras. I often buy prestige cosmetics (like from Sephora or at department store counters) and this is just as good. I have red hair and very light skin, so I prefer brown mascara for softer, everyday looks. Maybelline has made a winner! It goes on easily and rarely needs reapplied. Sometimes it will rub off from my lower lashes by the end of the day, which is fine for me; if I go out in the evening I just reapply if needed. The tube seems to last a long time (although yeah, yeah, they say to only keep mascara for 3 months) and the brush separates my eyelashes and gives them volume without looking fake. It's not waterproof, but I'm sort of a crybaby and unless I'm crying hard, it usually stays on. :D And it matches many popular makeup palettes. Give it a try!

Bought this for a vacation to Mexico. Was perfect for being in he pool/ocean. It stayed on great! Almost too great..really had to scrub at my eyes to get it off at night, but I'm fine with that if it means I don't have runny mascara raccoon eyes all day!

If there is one thing Maybelline does well it is mascara. This particular version gives me thick volume that lasts all day without flaking. I happen to prefer a straight applicator over a curved wand (easier to control when doing my "opposite" eye) so this has become my go-to mascara. It applies easily - one coat is usually enough for thick, full lashes - and removes with cleanser or beauty wipes. I have tried so many mascaras, including the pricey department store versions, and this is the one I keep coming back to. No need to pay more for beautiful lashes - save the money for other beauty splurges.

I wasn't totally sure about this product at first, but after using it and off the last six months, it's recently become my go-to. My holy grail mascara has always been L'Oréal Voluminous, but I've noticed this formula looks every bit as good, doesn't bleed/smear under the eye as much, and is easier to remove at the end of the day.
