We have a variety of birds that visit -- blue jays, robins, morning doves, sparrows -- and we leave a little of this out for them. In winter-time I suspect it's the difference between life and death for some of them. Very amusing that Amazon wants me to rate "flavor"! Hmm. I'm going to make a guess on that one -- the birds seem to approve, so I don't really feel a need to test it myself. The 10-pound bag lasts a while and doesn't spoil and is a good bargain, so that's what we keep returning to. As with many Amazon products, you'll probably save a little if you select it via Subscribe and Save. Our first venture into having a bird feeder and the first seed we tried. They seem to LOVE it. We live very near a large lake and wildlife area here in Omaha, NE and we get a variety of birds, cardinals, wrens, finches, robins, and common grackles are the majority. They seem to love the seed, even if it spills from our feeder they eat it from our deck. Good value for the amount of seed, we had no problems with corn like other people stated, though I do think it might attract squirrels, you probably get that from any bird seed. Overall very pleased!

I have a window feeder where I can see the birds close up in the mornings and I have 2 in the yard. I see the same birds at my window every day and I know that they have come to depend on the food, especially in the winter. Well, we just had a snowstorm and I realized I was almost out of food for them. I was stuck in the house and not much money to spend, but I knew they would have a hard time finding food with the snow. So when I found this 10 lb bag at such a low cost (because it's an add-on), I was so relieved. It was here 2 days later and my birds didn't have to search somewhere else for food. The birds seem to love it and have even seen a few new ones. I do wish it had more black sunflower seeds in it because they are always the ones to go first, but with the price so low, I'm not going to complain. I think I will just purchase a small bag of black ones and supplement this bag. I think it will cost me much less that way. I don't know why, but I didn't expect the bag to be as big as it is. lol. Even though the birds go through it pretty fast, this will still last a while....especially when I supplement with extra black sunflower seeds. I will be buying one each month.

Good quality. It's a blend of different grains, but the birds seem to have preference for the sunflower seeds. At first , it looked like the birds didn't like the food. They all went away after installing the feeder with this food. But little by little they are coming back . I've seen a couple of birds eating it and coming back for more. I might say that the grains look fresh and clean.

One thing I will say about this bird seed. It really does smell of cherry (you can smell it as soon as you open the bag!) At first I didn't know if the birds would take to it or not. Thankfully, they did. Within 1-3 days all of the bird seed was gone. There was only enough for maybe a mouse, and even then I had a small bird pecking over the remains before I refilled my bird feeder. I don't any fancy bird feeders. The only setup I have is a plastic container filled with Wagner's Natures Best birdseed and another one that's shallow filled with about a cup of the cherry flavored bird seed. It seems to work to set this seed out alongside other birdseed so the birds gets some variety. I usually end up having to refill both containers every two or three days since both birds and squirrels seem to really like this seed. So, if you wanna try it out do so. It won't set you back a lot cash wise. It's certainly a bird seed worth trying out if you want to give the birds in your neighborhood a treat.

I've got several feeders by my living room window and the birds love this bird seed! I highly recommend this product! My review philosophy: As a longtime customer of Amazon, I depend on others' honest reviews. I do my best to provide that same courtesy to others. I purchase lots of items through Amazon, some I get for free, some I get at a discounted rate, and some I pay full price. I will always disclose if I receive an item for free or a discounted rate. I do a lot of reviews so here is a break down on how I determine my star rating of a product: 5 stars – I love it! It is awesome and I highly recommend everyone to purchase this product! 4 stars – I like it, but there are some flaws. Don't we all have flaws? I would purchase again. 3 stars - It was okay, but I would probably not buy it again unless there are no other options. 2 stars – There may be worse products out there, but you can definitely find better choices. 1 star – I dislike the product, I wish I had not purchased it and recommend others to not purchase.

I have been using similar food without the cherry flavor in my feeder since September. A month ago I noticed the cherry flavor which said it attracted blue birds and song birds. Well the other food attracted birds and lasted about 2 to 3 days but this food actually did attract gorgeous blue birds and tons of the sweet little birds. When I go out to my patio in the morning the trees are alive with singing! The only problem is they empty the feeder in about 6 hours!! I've counted 35 birds at a time. The feeder sits about 6 but they spit out lots of seed onto the ground for their very grateful friends. I've been filling feeder 2x per day but realize I need to cut this back or I'll need to order 60# a month for one feeder!! Crazy but have really enjoyed watching them during this very wet and dismal CA winter! I'm wondering if there will be picket lines when I need to go out of town!! Heh heh

I fill up my birdbfeeders at least once a week, the birds in my area of New Jersey love this food! My local home Depot sells this same food without the cherry flavor in a 40 lb bag for $14. Usually I'd get it on here but I don't wanna spend $25 to get the add on item so I looked it up online and found it at the home Depot. I definitely recommend this food for wild birds. I'll add a picture, I have way more videos then I do pictures but I'm not sure how to post a video on here. My feeder has 5 little pegs that stick out of it, most days all 5 will have birds on them, this pic is actually a screen shot of a video lol the birds were fighting even though the picture looks like they were being nice to each other. Update*** lol homr depot had the cherry flavor, so that worked out perfect. If anyone has a home Depot near them check on their site, a 40 lb bag is cheap. Idk about you by I kept going through the 10 lb bag weekly but I have 4 feeders, 2 on my bedroom window and 2 outback

UPDATE....this food was 4,98 and it increased to 13.76...... wow I was using a expensive brand before....i bought this brand to try it and i am so happy all the birds love it (Doves, Evening Grosbeak, Nuthatcher Stellar Jay, etc, etc) oh and the squirrels love it...... i don't mind!!!

I bought this on a whim while also purchasing bags of food for my other animals. This seed has been attracting SO many birds into my yard. We've been seeing lots of cardinals, finch (multi-colored, beautiful), blue jays, and even the woodpeckers have been seen waddling around on the ground to eat where my children have strewn additional seed outside of the feeder. There is another bird of a dark bluish/grey color (I am not very familiar with bird names), that is superbly loud, who has built a nest in a tree very nearby my home, and this guy/gal was never around before I put the seed out. I've even noticed some of the "marshy" birds (we're in South Florida close to the Everglades) coming into the yard more often. I have been trying to get photos of these birds, but they are so hard to capture with my phone camera as they move so fast and scare. I'm going to try uploading and adding in some of the photos I've been able to get of the birds, but I need to try cropping and enlarging because the photos I have gotten just are not good, lol. Anyway, the birds love it, and it is very reasonably priced. Also, just to note, the squirrels seem to love it, too.
