Works GREAT and perfect under long tents that are on smooth, grassy areas. We used it under our 20' by 10' tent in the desert and it worked well, protecting our tent floor from rocks and objects that we could not remove from the hard ground (no grass, just bare desert ground). It had a few tears when we were done, however, they did NOT go through the green section (the reverse side). Very durable for our needs and true to its large measurements. 5 months later, after several uses and washings, it is still VERY strong. May purchase another one for the top (to protect from rain). - You will need the STRONG METAL PEGS, not any cheap plastic ones. This tarp is NOT lightweight. - When using under a tent, roll up the edges so that rain water doesn't just "sit" on the tarp

Well, what can be said? This is a good tarp and is sturdy enough for all things camping and covering. This product worked well for me on a summer long camping trip. I used it as a footprint, a covering over a rainfly in torrential downpours, as a 'Yukon' pack, and as a tent. It never once leaked and held up to the elements very well. The only negative I have - tarp rings. When DON'T they fail? They're the weakest link of any tarp including this one. The second you put on moderate tension the fabric comes out from them. It's just the nature of the beast. My solution was to be prepared. I carried a tarp ring kit, and a dozen tarp clamps for the just in case - and just in case showed up a few times. What was important was that the tarp performed as a waterproof covering. I recommend.

Very light-weight when dry. Not sure how much of a beating it can take but it worked fine on top of grass and washes off easily. Keep in mind that the material is not heavy-duty. The corner grommets are not well-reinforced, for example, so I also would not expect it to be able to take a lot of stress if you use it as a tie-down or rain tarp. But it's as advertised, so 5 stars. -Matt

I bought this tarp to use over our intex quick set 10x30 above ground pool. We had the pool set up for a party so I wanted to make sure the overnight septic spray wouldn't end up in the water. This tarp was plenty big enough to cover the pool & tuck it under the sides. It is lightweight but not paper thin. It may not hold up for a heavy duty job or anything requiring it be left out in the elements for a long time but I would definitely recommend it for light duty jobs. So far I've used it for 3 nights (also leaving it out beside the pool during the day) & it was great. I laid it out in the sun to dry completely & folded it back up for future use.

Works great and sturdy enough, seems to be made of the same material as the bottom of our Coleman instant cabin tent. I don't expect roots or pebbles to poke holes in this, and we use a 100+ pound bunk bed system in our tent (look up cam-o-cot). I've never had anything poke a hole in our Coleman tent, but this gives me a little more confidence and also keeps the bottom of the tent cleaner for storage. I'll measure it next time but either these dimensions are off or Coleman's 14' x 8' tent-measurement is off (probably Coleman). The Coleman is actually slightly smaller which is not perfect - you want your tent-ground tarp to be SMALLER than your tent floor. I don't know how the Coleman 14' x 10' would be larger or smaller.

Many sparrows inhabit the machine shed I use as a garage for my auto. This tarp came in the perfect size as cover protection from the birds. The tarp is light which makes is easy to put on/take off the auto. It slides on and off like it was created for my Buick Encore. The shed is enclosed so the weather is not an issue with the durability of the tarp. I wanted it to be narrow and long and easy to handle. This 8 x 16 size is not easy to find so this discovery led to a great purchase.

This tarp works for whatever purpose you intend. I use it as a cheap alternative to a rather expensive pool cover for my above ground pool. It lasted one year but given the harsh conditions it was subjected to, I really can't complain. I just purchased a new one (3.20.18) and have added pictures. The quality is good, and it does seem waterproof. It works fantastic at keeping rain water out of the pool.

I ordered this tarp for shelter on an upcoming camping trip where rain was forecast (tent camping). The tarp was strung up by the 4 corners between trees 20 - 30 ft. apart, supported in the middle by a ridge line rope between trees. Provided good shelter for sitting around during heavy rain, without leaking. The grommets held up to the load just fine. Contrary to other reviews, my tarp was just as pictured; brown on one side, green on the other. Didn't measure the mil thickness, but seemed to be as described. I had multiple tarps on this trip, and this one was as heavy or heavier than the others. I would recommend this tarp for this purpose, and would order another if needed.

I bought two of these. One covers a sports car for the winter that is wrapped in a normal car cover and topped with this tarp and the other covers my 20 foot travel trailer. I have had them both on for about 5 months and the tarps have held up well. No holes or tears. Our temperatures have been between -35 and 35 with 10-30 mph winds most of the winter. I will try to update this after our summer. That's when most of the tarps i buy start to break down. So far I would buy more of these. Update 12-26-14 I have purchased more of these. They hold up about a year each. One summer and one winter then I replace them with new ones. The old ones turn into my utility tarps until they are destroyed. Overall from my experience with most cheap tarps these last longer than most and that's why i keep buying them.

Typical plastic tarps, but cut to full size, rather than "nominal" size, so these worked perfectly as a ground sheet and floor liner for my Cabela's Instinct Outfitter tent, which measures 10 feet by 14 feet. I bought two, and they were exactly what I needed. The color is nice, too. Not super-heavy duty, but I'm not using them to cover a trailer full of cargo going at highway speeds. They work well for less-demanding applications like camping. Let me know if this review was helpful.
