I just bought an Acer Netbook which came with Windows 7 and MS Office 2010 starter installed. The starter programs are okay but since I will be using the Netbook for work when traveling to other locations, I wanted the look and feel of the programs on both work laptop and Netbook to be the same so decided to upgrade. There was an Anytime Upgrade option for Windows 7 that downloads the upgrade directly from Microsoft and it was quick and hassle-free. There was also an option to buy and download the MS Office Home and Student 2010 version ($102) and I attempted to use it but it bombed out and kept saying there was a problem with downloading the Key Code, so I decided to check my luck with the Amazon download version ($91). It worked great - completed the download process in about 20 mins (which is pretty good considering I am in Afghanistan on a military base and internet speed is pretty poor) it cost less than downloading directly from Microsoft, and Amazon keeps the Key Code information stored in your Software Library so you can re-install it on the same computer if you ever need to in the future. Overall, I'm a happy camper...

Just purchased this because my computer was overhauled and we lost our code for our Microsoft Office set up. :-( My husband is a licensed Contractor and he gets bids over email from time to time (all the time!) and when he was using the free versions of whatever, they would somehow not make it or some weird program would come up and, because he is not very computer literate/oriented, he would download all sorts of weird things and messed up our computer a little bit. So I decided we needed to take the plunge... It was simple, just downloaded it and it was on our computer! And for $99.00? Sweet! I already have MS Word on all of our other computers and it sucks that I even had to spend this money but what's done is done, eh? Regardless, love it, my husband can now download bids he gets for his jobs, etc. Happy with it. Will update if there are any problems but so far, we're all good!

I was helping someone who was a non technical elderly individual who couldn't understand why the "Starter" edition that came with their computer didn't let her use the "freeze frames" feature in Excel (a feature not included with the Starter edition). Other than that, the Starter edition would have worked fine for them, but they really wanted to be able to use the "freeze frames" feature. This was for home use only and they only actually used Word & Excel, so the "Home & Student" version was a perfect fit. A week or so after I installed it for them they told me that they now "really enjoyed" working with their spreadsheets. Prior to this, they were often frustrated when working on their spreadsheets. For them it was worth the 80-something dollars to have this feature, so I guess that means 5 stars.

I was recently graduated from school, and one day my computer told me that my Word license was going to expire. When I bought my laptop, it did not have Word pre-loaded, and so I got Word through my school. I hadn't realized that it would "run out." I did a little research and discovered that Microsoft is switching to a "licensing" format, which would require spending money each year in order to keep Word. Uhhh, no thank you! I bought this version in March 2014, knowing that it was a little "outdated." But you know what, that hasn't been a problem at all. I mean, Word doesn't really change that much. And anyway, it's nice that I know how to use this version, and don't need to learn a new format. So I bought this product because then I would "own" a copy of Word for my computer, once and for all, without having to shell out for a new license each year. In short, I recommend this as a much less expensive way to get Work on your computer. I will probably buy a few extra copies so that when I replace my laptop, I can still have a "permanent" version of Word.

I was DEPERATE to get Office 2010, after I ran over my laptop (don't ask). I absolutely hate to work with 2 different version of MSoft items between personal laptop and work computer! For a few days looking on Amazon, only saw the "other sellers" category were selling Office 2010 and I was not about to buy something for over $100 from a possible serial killer selling a fake version of M'Soft out of their basement (JK). Software Media's storefront looked legit and I took the risk based on the sellers reviews. SO glad I did!! The product key worked like a champ & SO relieved to have Office 2010. I just moved to a new home (why the laptop was a accidental casualty) and my patience would not tolerate, new home, new laptop, too many boxes to unpack AND new software to adjust to; would have pushed me over the edge. Happy customer!

I ordered this after reading reviews that the download did not work for some people, but I thought I'd try it since it is genuine Microsoft software. This is only a key card to activate office if already preloaded on your PC or you may download the official home and student copy directly from Microsoft. The code worked without a hitch as well as the download. The only thing I didn't like was making an office account, but no biggie. Once downloaded, the software installed nicely and office was up and running. I saw some reviews that didn't like that this was $90 for just 1 download, but $120 or so for 3 copies. Yes, if you have 3 computers, then it may benefit you to get 3 copies and pay a little more. However, we are a Mac household with 2 macs and 1 PC that my husband uses for school only, so we only needed one copy. This worked great for what we needed.

My MS Office 2010 Home & Student product key card arrived very quickly, and was a snap to set up on my new laptop. I'm currently learning MS Office 2010 in school. After years of working on MS Office 2003, and doing specialized work that had no use for Powerpoint, Excel, etc., I now find I've fallen 'way behind on my word processing skills, so I'm back in school again. I got the MS Office Home & Student 2010 for my new laptop, which is what I'm doing my school work on. Word 2010 is amazing, and can do so many things Word 2003 can't. Or, in some cases, it just does the same things better. Word 2010 has such powerful graphics & photo- managing capabilities that for most personal and general office uses, you can get by without having PhotoShop, unless of course you're doing more extensive photography and photo editing. The programs for template letters, certificates, envelopes, labels, etc. are helpful and varied, as are all the Style & Word Art templates. I'm very happy with this product, and I got it for a great price on Amazon!

I have a 2 year old HP laptop that had just the "starter" versions of Microsoft Office 2010 software installed on it. I wanted to upgrade to the full version but Microsoft.com is only selling the newest Microsoft Office 2013 software. So I bought this 2010 version key card. It worked perfectly... I just clicked on Microsoft Office icon from my desktop, selected "Activate", entered my key card number and it installed everything. Then, I restarted my laptop and checked out all the programs and they all work great. The only thing was that it took a while for it to install everything and activate- about 15 minutes. But no problems at all, super easy.

I bought a brand new pc and decided to go with Windows 7 on that machine because I have Windows 8 on my laptop...nuff said. The fact that you can STILL buy a brandnew machine running Windows 7 says all there is to say about Windows 8. Of course a short time later Windows 10 was announced with a free upgrade but I'm not sure I'm biting after having suffered Microsofts last disaster...may just stick with 7. Which leads me to this product; I got Word 2012 for my laptop and hated it almost as much as I did Windows 8! They've tried to offer more and more functions and features, things that most people will never need or use and in doing so they've made the program so cumbersome and annoying to use that it just drove me nuts. When you need a two page laminated cheat sheet to use Word something has gone horribly wrong. So, went with Word 2010 and I love it. I did have issues with downloading it from the Microsoft site though, because it's old software you have to really search for the link, the one provided with the package no longer works so don't even bother. And even once I found the rigth link it was a chore, it refused to download correctly until I finally had to call Microsofts helpdesk for assistance. Twice actually because the first call connected me with a woman in India who was very nice but had a very heavy accent, that and the terrible connection (it is a few continents away after all) made it impossible for us to have a conversation. I understand the Microsoft pretty much has a monopoly here but when are they going to stop subjecting their customers to this type of nonense. Wasn't inflicting Windows 8 on us enough?? So after it being much harder than it should have been or could have been I got the softward downloaded. Does anyone remember the good old days before code keys when the software actually came on a CD? I know, I sound like a dinosaur but you have to admit, it was a lot easier, and no calls to Mumbai! In closing, love Word 2010, not all that fond of the company that produced it.

I gave it five stars because I bought it for cheap and it works. So here are somethings you should know before buying. 1. Use Internet Explorer to download the installer(.exe). I tried it in Mozilla Firefox and it did not work. I did not test Google Chrome. 2. Don't listen to that people who say that "There is no backup" You can always save the installer in cloud storage, USB Drive, or burn the installer to a disc. <--- Free Alternatives... a. For a paid alternative, you have the option to purchase a disc from Microsoft for an extra $14.00 or so shipped. I personally did order the disc just for my records, but I have already backed up both my 32bit and 64bit installers. It's not hard to back up data and files, but very few people do. Just buy a portable hard drive and back up your data including the installer for Microsoft Office 2010. 3. Enough reading! Buy the software. It works and its the cheapest I've found on the net that's legal. Enjoy!
