Excellent specimen. I live in a USDA 8a my only complaint is that the seller should mention the tree does need a bit of humidity if you live in a bone dry area like my self, i live in el paso Texas. Also couldnt find what conditions the tree was under before being purchased. This is a problem because you cannot take a tree out of a green house (indirect or artificial sunlight) and stick it straight in the sun and expect it to survive. The tree has to be slowely acclimated in order to survive, so that it does not succumb to shock and die. In order to acclimate it i stuck the tree in a fish tank and kept it in humidity while i slowely exposed it by opening a layer of shrink wrap gradually, i then left it in indirect sunlight for about 3days, then i gradually exposed it to sunlight (a few hrs more than the last) day by day. Now it is in full sun, w the top of the fish tank open to retain a bit of humidity. Keep in mind i live in a desert, if you live in a humid state you should be fine, but i would recommend acclimating it to the sun slowely just in case. Happy gardening ✌

About as good as it gets for even double, maybe triple, the price. Let's be fair, it's a 3 - 5 year old maple, so it's not going to have a developed nebari and trunk, but it has fantastic branching and growth, great structure and proportions. It's obviously not a specimen bonsai but it would be extremely difficult to find a maple anywhere near this quality for the price, not even counting a completely decent pot and free shipping.

Beautiful!!! I was a bit skeptical on ordering a bonsai, but once it came I was really impressed with the size, quality and shipping of product. 5 stars. This tree looks at least 3-5 years old and is exactly what is described. Nice job to whoever took the time to grow my new bonsai...very happy.

I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase. I spent two days going through sites and reading reviews before deciding on which type of bonsai/company I was going to buy from. I also considered price and shipping. Brussel's Bonsai seemed like the best place, and their Fukien Tea seemed like the best bonsai to go with given the lifestyle I have (no yard or outside space to have a bonsai, so it had to be indoor-specific). A lot of the reviews were hit and miss based on condition upon arrival or having it die within the first week/month (though that could be from lack of knowledge on how to properly take care of the Fukien Tea because though it brags of easy care there is still care that needs to be done--just not extensive). So I finally decided to order the Fukien Tea. It was delivered two days earlier than the estimated delivery date and was packed very well to avoid damage and drying out. The shipping company also did a fine job of handling it well (which could also be the cause of damage upon arrival that most people don't realize is the shipping company's fault and NOT the company they bought from). The tree was very hardy and "bushy" and came in a sturdy ceramic container. I gave it a good pruning to show off the shape of the trunk and give it that bonsai look. It's very easy to prune a Fukien Tea into a desired shape, and you can do it all-year-round to help maintain its shape, and requires no new wire-training. I purchased a humidity tray to help maintain good humidity, as that is essential to the Fukien Tea, and an LED grow light to also help promote healthy growth/flowering because even though it's a great indoor tree, it still needs indirect sunlight (direct sunlight outside can actually hurt the tree) and an LED grow light is more beneficial than setting it by a window with fingers crossed. I also purchased a Ganesh figurine from my local Asian gift store for decoration to help create a more "zen" feel. Overall this worked out for me very well with basic knowledge and a little more research. The instructions that came with the tree were very vague, so I definitely recommend reading a few articles on the type of bonsai you're looking to care for to get a better feel of how to keep it thriving.

I received my large bonsai yesterday. It arrived sculpted as in the photo. The tree appears in very good condition with lush green leaves. So far no yellowing or dropping leaves. It arrived well packed in a large box. This pot is heavy glazed ceramic in lovely robin egg blue, not the dark blue as in photo. I’m very impressed with the tree and they offer an excellent price on amazon. The Brussels Bonsai brand are excellent healthy trees. This is my 4th tree of theirs. Brussels is just a phone call or email away if you need advise with your tree. They also offer a guarantee. I highly recommend this tree if your looking for a substantial size bonsi. It’s much bigger than the ones you see at Home Depot.

I had pretty low expectations based on some of the reviews, but I have had hardly anything but good things to say since I got it. This is my first plant ever, so I apologize if my terminology is off. I've had this little guy for a couple of months now, and it's been growing like a little weed! New fronds started coming in within a week or two after it arrived, and for the past week or so, leaves have been growing. I've seen conflicting information as to how much sunlight and water is appropriate, but so far, indirect sunlight and a *light* watering every few days seems to be working just fine for me. The only downside I can think of is the bugs. I have a huge problem with bugs in general, so I spoke to my parents before ordering this one. They said that, with their indoor plants, they had only ever had a problem with bugs/mites on a handful of occasions. After watering the plant for the second time, however, I noticed a bunch of nearly microscopic, shiny bugs moving around in the soil. I think a few of them have grown into flies, and continue to hang around the plant, which I'm okay with. I still have no idea what they are, but they sure don't seem to be harming the plant. I did, however, have to get someone to dispose of the spider that arrived a couple of weeks after the plant, being the arachnophobe that I am.

This is an awesome looking bonsai, I'm very pleased with this purchase :) I just moved into a new home and was looking for a plant that would liven up a corner of my hall. I purchased this after a lot of research. This plant is supposed to be very hardy and good for beginners. >> 8.66 inches/22 cm tall >> Looks exactly as pictured >> Came potted in an 8" x 6" green ceramic pot >> Well packaged, came packed in a cardboard box with packing peanuts, base wrapped in plastic foil and cardboard. A few leaves had fallen off (about 5/6) but that's alright. >> Tree was well watered, the soil was dry when unpacked >> Soil surface covered with tiny colored rocks >> This is an indoor plant, requires enough sunlight (to be kept near a well lit window, towards South or West, needs morning sunlight and afternoon shade). Needs to be watered once every 2/3 days. Care must be taken to ensure the plant never freezes or dries up. >> Ordered on Aug 18, arrived on Aug 23, cost was $32.

I was totally impressed! There is nothing I can say that is one complaint about the overall experience in purchasing this Hawaiian Umbrella Tree. As you can see it came filled to the top with peanut filling. Inside was sturdy cardboard boxing, plastic wrapping with foam all around the plant to hold in place. When the UPS guy handed me the box it was upside down! The box had in big lettering "caution live plant" all over it. So you can only imagine what that poor box went through for the entire delivery trip. But not one leaf was damaged! Even all the soil was in place inside the pot. Plant arrived perfect with moist soil. Was also very happy to get the navy blue ceramic pot. I also ordered the Eve's Drip humidity tray 12" x 9". It came with small light beige rocks that filled the entire tray. Eve's also has smaller sized trays with or without rocks. As you can see my tree with the rocks looks great. I also added my own decorative darker colored rocks that I bought years ago. You may also want to add a full spectrum grow lamp for growing in dimmer shaded areas in your home. I prefer the bright white LED light over that weird purple grow light. I ordered the (clip-on) 24W LED iPower Multi-Spectrum LED Grow Light for Plant Growth and Flowering. You can also paint the back of the iPower bulb casing to match your decor. I highly recommend all of the items! You can't go wrong with this Bonsai tree! I was skeptical before I bought this, but I'm glad I went through with the order. The tree looks amazing, much better than I was expecting. Healthy, full leaves, and a great looking pot. I will be putting this little guy in my office, so he can be my constant work companion. I look forward to many years of care and growth. Oh, and the box this came in was wonderful; very well packed and a beautiful "Brussel's Bonsai" logo on the outside.

Wow! What a great tree! Was a little scared with the negative reviews and the low price for the advertised size of the tree. Decided to go for it since I never have any problems getting good customer service from Amazon. I am glad I did. I received a beautiful, healthy tree of 9.5" and 12.5" including the pot - well within the advertised size. It has a few separate mounds and a great snaky trunk. I've added a picture. This is at least a $60 tree on any bonsai site so also a great buy! Also, of importance is how well it was packaged for shipping almost to the point of being a little hard to unpack but I don't mind having that problem in this case. The tree was packaged so there would be no movement with the pot being well wrapped all the way up to the trunk to retain moisture. I am very impressed and will probably by another for an additional location. Beware those of you new to bonsai - this is an outdoor tree. It will not live for any length of time indoors.
