This is really good! It was very hard for me to teach my brother to hold the pencil properly, but with this he became a natural. He would just put his fingers in the holes and I wouldn't have to say anything! When it was time to take out the claw, he did not forget the proper way of holding the pencil. Compared to my cousins who did not use this, they are unable to hold the pencil properly and would always have to be corrected. This really helped in teaching him how to write!

This pencil grip puts students fingers in the correct position in the pencil. It doesn’t work fir everyone but it is one of my favorites!

These are great. I have been running a licensed home day care for 20 plus years and found that I needed something to help the kiddos who were not holding their pencils correctly. These are perfect. I have used them with 2-4 year old children and have had no issues with their fingers not fitting. I received one of each of standard colors like purple, blue, green and red. This is perfect for me as each child is assigned a color, so they don't end up accidentally sharing. It saves me time not having to wash them after each use. The children find them comfortable and do not complain about using them.

My five year old is left-handed. At parent-teacher conferences, his teacher recommended these type grips to assist him with his pencil hold. They were sold out at our local teacher supply store. This is a great value!

I have used this with my four year old who has difficulty with his three point grip. My two year old daughter also likes to use it because her big brother does. She also like to chew on them and pull on them. They have held us well to the abuse. I will say that my son has average to small hands. If you had a slightly older child, or a child with big hands, I would go up a size.

My son has autism and mild cerebral palsy so writing for him is a challenge. However his therapist had him try this one day and I teared up because he actually had better control at writing. I immediately ordered this and his writing control has been awesome since then.

I've been teaching my preschool to start writing and he's having a hard time gripping on the pencil. We use those triangular pencil but it's still difficult for him to grasp the concept of just using the 3 fingers. I am so happy that I found this Pencil Grip Writing CLAW. It helped him get used to just holding the pencil with his 3 fingers and making that oval shape around his thumb and point finger. The problem of him lifting his entire upper arm was also address since he was holding the writing the right way.

My 2nd grader has had a hard time with his pencil grip since he started writing/coloring. He has low muscle tone and his strength in his hands is not that great. His kindergarten teacher had these in his class and I found them on Amazon. I think they're the best pencil grips we've tried (and we've tried a LOT). There's 3 sections, one for their thumb, their 1st and middle finger (they're labeled). They also work for left or right-handed people. If you pull the grip down lower on the pencil towards the point it works great and really helps him keep a good grip on his pencil. I can tell a difference in his handwriting when he's used the grip and when he's not. We've also tried them with crayons and they work well for those as well.

These were the perfect size for my 4 year old grandson who was having problems with holding pencils, crayons, and markers correctly. They are an easy and simple solution to train preschoolers or kindergarten children to properly hold writing implements.

My 4 year old son has trouble with gripping his pencil correctly and doesn't have much interest in writing. this product was introduced to us by his speech therapist when she noticed this about him. He loves puting his little fingers in the holes and has much more control of his pencil now. It also has helped him to be interested in writing as it's somewhat fun for him to use. This product works much better for us than a wedge grip. We have tried other types of "grippers" and this is a winner! I think it's also going to help my first grade daughter correct her grip (which is wrong). This package came with multiple CLAWS... worth buying!
