The Aqueon Pro heaters are a great product line. I have two of them now, a 100 and a 150, and they are amazing. I have absolutely no complaints and hardly ever think about them, which is how an aquarium heater should be. The temperature setting dial is easy to use, even with wet hands or at an angle, and the status light is very clear about when the heater is on. The sleek design blends in great with a black background, but I imagine it would look good anyway. Spend a little extra on these heaters and you won't regret it. I would definitely recommend these to a fellow fishkeeper.

Excellent heater for my 28 gallon tank. Keeps the temp of the water stable through the winter within 1/2 degree although the temp on the heater itself does not necessarily match the set temp. I recommend using a digital thermometer to figure out the temp rather than relying on the temperature knob which might be way off. I also like that it has a green light to tell you it has reached the correct temp and red when it is heating.

I have this mounted horizontal near the bottom of my tank. It's visually unobtrusive and keeps temp perfectly. The cord is a good length so I was able to place it where I wanted without issue. Suction cups are very strong, no worries that it will pop off. Would definitely recommend.

I love this heater. I have 3 of them now, 2 in 10 gallon tanks and 1 in a 40 gallon tank. The only problem I've ever run into was that the one in the 40 gallon was making a strange knocking sound when it was completely horizontal. It's now at the tiniest angle and the noise has stopped. Maybe up against something when it was horizontal. I recommend this heater to everyone. I've used the glass Aqueon heaters and have had problems with them in the past, but this non-glass one is wonderful.

I thought this would feel kind of cheap but this thing is SOLID and feels super heavy duty. Now im feeling great about my heater. The reading is pinpoint accurate on the temperature. You can submerge all the way, but i have the top bit sticking out. This is kind of a very long heater for a 20L (vertically). Give it a few minutes to acclimate to the water when you first put it in before second guessing it

I can't tell you how much better this heater is than any other heater I have had, including my most recent (Marineland ML90650 Precision Heater for Aquarium, 100-watt). With the Marineland I was having to constantly adjust it because of minor changes in room temperature, whereas this heater I have set and pretty much is within +/-0.3 degrees F based on three temperature probes in my tank including a "La Crosse Technology 926-25106-Wgb Wireless Monitor System Set with Wet Probe" which logs readings every 15 mins. Might not be needed for those that don't care that their temperature changes a few degrees, but for me/someone who wants the range tighter this is worth every penny.

I have purchased fancy $70 digital controllers that are way less accurate that this heater. This unit is easy to set up and has all the right parts in it. Electronic switching of power- no bi-metal contacts. In working with this heater, I have to say that if I need another one this is exactly the one I will buy not anything else. It keeps temperature pretty close to where you want it and easy to work with. MOST OF ALL is the customer service from aquaeon. I had another one of these in my reef tank stop working after using it for 2 and a half years, so I contacted them, they requested that I sent the defective unit back, and withing 9 days I had a brand new one arriving in the mail. They do cover the lifetime warranty, without questions.

This is an AMAZING product. I have owned it for roughly 2 years and it works as well as it did day 1. I have this plugged into my turtle's tank to provide heat and keep the water at a well regulated temperature. The heater runs 24 hours a day 7 days a week, excluding when I have it off for water changes and tank cleanings (basically every other week for like an hour). It works like a charm after all this time and I cannot say enough wonderful things about it. The heater is NOT hot to the touch even when it is set at 82 F.

This heater has been great for my 29 gallon so far. It does a quick job of heating and I find it really doesn't have to run that long to get my tank to the proper temp. I love that it's not made of glass so I never have to worry about it shattering. I also like that it lets you know when it's heating and when it's idle. The included suction cups are by far the BEST suction cups I have ever used, you can't get them to let go for anything! I will update if anything negative happens, let's hope it doesn't! I've included a picture of it actively heating my tank. UPDATE: Almost 3 years later this heater is still great, no issues whatsoever.

Got this heater in December when it got colder for our turtle’s 65 gallon tank. It works great! We got the 100 W version (we only fill the tank about halfway with about 30 gallons). It took a while to heat the tank, but it did reach - and maintain - a comfortable temperature of 72 degrees. We confirmed this with a thermal gun and our exterior tank thermometer. You don’t have to stick to 72 either; the heater let’s you adjust it to a wide range of temperatures. You just set it and forget it. The only thing you’ll need to check on is to make sure it is fully submerged; it’s a fire hazard if the water level is below the heater (as made evident in other reviews). Our turtle absolutely loves it too. When he’s not swimming around or basking, he hovers over the heater and enjoys the heat it gives off. Great product overall.
