This is the second time I ordered and easily installed this filter into my household heater. It's a good idea to replace these at least annually. The old one was rather clogged with dust that it traps. It is far more economical to buy these than to have a furnace "expert" install it for you. Not a difficult task unless your heater is in an awkward location. If Amazon would let me subscribe for this on an annual basis, I'd sign up immediately.

In the past I have used off brand or allowed my heating and air conditioning company to replace the filter (they use off brand as well) when they come out for maintenance. I always noticed that the filters I have been getting are not the exact same size at the filter compartment. They are 1/4 to 1/2 inch shorter than they are supposed to be which leaves a gap for air to get around and the filter sits kind of lopsided air pushes past it. I always thought it was my filter compartment being oversized. It turns out that many off brand filters cheat and instead of delivering 20" x 25" x 5" they give you a filter that is slightly smaller which I assume is a cost cutting measure. This time I bought the Honeywell filter and it fit snugly in the filter compartment. I'll never go back to off brand again.

Fit perfectly in our whole-house filter unit. It replaced another Honeywell filter, so this was expected. For a good price though I was able to increase the filtration rating. The former filter rated 8, this is rated 11, and my air system supports up to 12.

These filters are not easy to find. If found, the price is more than double. The generics, which don't fit properly, are higher in price than what I paid for these. I was very surprised to actually find the actual filters, and the price can't be beat!! After receiving my original order of one, I ordered 3 more. I'm just thrilled!

It’s a great filter. Be careful when ordering this. Be sure to order it alone. They packed it with a case of bottled water on multiple occasions and needless to say, it arrived smashed. I had to pack it back up alone and bring it to UPS to return and wait for a replacement to arrive. This happened more than once. Do not order with other products. It’s delicate.

Good filters, reasonable price in the five-pack. Fit perfectly to replace the original Honeywell electrostatic type of air filters (electrostatic model # F300A-2025). Just had to remove one screw holding a round plastic guide on the right sidewall of the old electrostatic filter slide-in area. Once that small guide was removed, these replacement filters slide right in, perfect size to replace the old electrostatic modules. No loss of airflow with these pleated disposable filters compared to the original electrostatic units, and because the pleats are a full 4-5" deep, there is way more filter area than the conventional 1" thick disposable air filters.

Works great so far. Replaced my old electrostatic filter elements (from c.1982). One thing I discovered, my Honeywell unit has an alignment pin on the bottom wall that had to be removed before the new cardboard filter would fit. The pin is held in place by a small Philip's screw and is easily removed. Update: One year later. Just replaced the filter after 1 year. Thought I'd show a comparison of the old and new. It clearly picked up a lot of dirt from the air. With two dogs, our household air is filled with Lord knows what, and we have a persistent dust settling problem. I can't say this filter has been a game changer; it works, that's it. Nothing miraculous. I do like the paper filter over the ancient electrostatic filters this replaced, mostly because there are no longer any annoying (and startling) zapping sounds.

First - These filters are 4 and a half inches thick. I have ordered this Honeywell product number several times and the items have been labeled 4 and 5 inches thick. After emailing the seller here I received a quick response that they also experience many questions about this filter's dimensions. If you are looking for a 20"x25"x 4.5" filter, THIS is what you will get. Second - This filter is a MERV 11 high quality filter that is great for cleaning airflow in a residential home. I,m very happy with the filtration results after upgrading a couple years ago from a lower MERV rating filter. This filter is being used in a new Carrier high efficiency furnace with a DC blower motor. Third - Cost is very attractive with this seller. I could not find a lower per filter price anywhere. Fourth - This seller is very responsive to any questions and they delivered my order quickly on a cross country shipment. Highly recommended.

A very ethical service tech that was doing the semi annual inspection on my system told me the cost to replace my filter was $85 bucks. Then told me about these Honeywell filters that were available for much less. Since I'm a handy man around the house I had always changed my filters until installing a new system and had been letting them do it for a couple of years. Now for less than the price of them changing it once I get two filters and change them myself. My cost for a filter change dropped $50+ bucks.

When we put in our new air system it changed the filter size to this one. The recommendation by the installer was that we could replace our filters every six months, which was included in our contract. Unfortunately with five animals we found the filters weren't lasting that long before they restricted the airflow. We decided to use these since they are cheaper then the ones our service provides. They work great and last just as long. They fit perfectly in our air unit. Will buy again and again.
