This wireless remote is one of the best camera accessories I have ever purchased and at an amazing price! I have a Nikon D3300, which this is compatible with. The remote is super easy to use; I just choose a setting on my phone and go at it. Whenever family is all together, we usually end up forgetting to do family group pictures or if we do, someone has to take the picture and thus be missing from the picture OR someone is rushing back and forth to do a timed picture. This eliminates all of those hassles! I set up the camera on my tripod, test the settings for the location, and have everyone else pose so I have it lined up correctly, then I join the shot and click away. Even my elderly (almost 80) father had fun using it!

First remote I purchased and will be the last one I ever buy again here is why: Hiked in the Shenandoah Valley trails and dropped it into the stream (not on purpose I assure you). Recovered the remote, removed the battery and blew into the slot where the battery sits to remove as much water as possible. Inserted the battery back into the remote immediately after I blew into it and it was fully functional and still is. Amazon if you plan on making money by making solid, well built products and letting your customers try to destroy them by dropping them in water and then forcing them to buy another remote, well you are sadly mistaken.

I was a little skeptical at first ordering this because it wasn't a name brand device. However, in the long run it was worth the purchase. I had a small learning curve in order to use it. I was use to using a connected off camera device, wherein you don't have to change anything on the camera. You just plug it in and shoot. So, I did the same with this. It did not work. After checking the batteries and everything else I could, I finally stopped into a camera shop, and in 5 seconds he switched the camera to remote shutter mode, and it was working. (My small feeble brain was to blame...) After that the thing works great. I can be quite a ways from the camera and still trigger the shutter. Whether I am shooting in macro mode and just want to make sure I don't add any vibration to the camera, or I am shooting a picture with me in it I am happy with this. It is lightweight (about an ounce) which is nice when you are hiking and want to add as little weight as possible. It seems to be durable as I dropped it twice now and has had no issues. I am not sure how long the battery will last, but I will try to update that if possible. If it is a few years I may forget to do so, so if you read this in 2023 and see no update that most likely means the battery lasted a while. (Or I stepped in front of a bus trying to get that perfect picture!) Anyway, if you are deciding between a high priced name brand and this Amazon Basics device, go the less costly route with this one. You'll be happy.

This has been great for me, so far, as an amateur who mostly uses my camera for photography while traveling. Especially for shots that need long exposures and/or are of far-away objects, using the remote shutter trigger really helps to keep the blur down. I use this with my D3400. No problems. There's nothing especially fancy about this, but gets the job done, it's very light, and it doesn't take up much space in my camera bag. No complaints at all, so far.

I bought this remote for use with a Nikon D3200. We opened the package, selected the remote setting on the camera, and started snapping pictures with the remote. It was that simple. It also comes with a tiny carry pouch that you can attach to your camera or bag. Update 12/20/2017 I just wanted to add a few observations on the use of this remote. It communicates with the camera via IR, just like a TV remote, so it must have clear line of site to the camera in order to operate. This means that if you want to be in the picture you’ll either need to be creative in how you hide the remote without covering it or you can use a short delay timer to give you a few seconds to put it in your pocket after you press the button. Also, this unit replaced a Nikon branded remote and the Amazon Basics unit is a much better device at half the price. It has a much better IR transmitter so it is much less fickle about how close your aim is. The Nikon remote required nearly perfect aim to get the shutter to activate.

This product is the best product ever. I was planning on getting a wireless remote for my t5i and right when I found out AmazonBasics had one, that was my first choice. I have had many other purchases from AmazonBasics and they never disappoint. This remote came in a nice box (which any AmazonBasics product does) and when you opened it up, it was luxurious (well, for me!). The carrying bag it came with was soft and ready for me to just throw in my camera bag. When I got the remote out of the bag, it was surprisingly really small, which is a good thing in this situation, so that was also a plus ;) Another thing, the infrared light on this remote is AMAZING! Many people say that with other wireless remotes, you have to point the remote directly with the sensor of the camera, but NOT with this REMOTE! I have pointed it up, down, left right, far, and close & it still works! This remote also works great for turning on and off video recordings! No problem occurred with that :) This product is definitely worthy of purchase. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a really easy to use, carry-able, and compact remote, especially for anyone who has specific shooting steps. Will buy again, if I have to!

I just received my wireless remote today 12/24 and it works great with my Canon Rebel EOS T6i!!! I followed the instructions given by another reviewer and it works just as it should. The manual does not list my model as being compatible with this remote, however, it is!! So T6i users grab you one and give it a try!! To set it up this is what you need to do... Select the Q button on the side of the camera where you have all your other functions and when your touch screen appears touch the area where you can change your shooting mode (drive mode). Once there select the 5th icon from the left that has the remote symbol and the self timer icon and you are all set.

It's absolutely perfect for my camera. It's small enough to hold in my hand when taking a picture of myself and it won't be seen in the picture. The price is unbeatable, most I've seen other places were over one hundred dollars. It is exactly as described in the ad and my camera is a Canon T3i. Just make sure when ordering that you select the correct camera, as there are two choices in the drop down menu, either Canon or Nikon.

Let me tell you how much of a hassle it is to press record on a camera when you have it positioned just right and then end up hitting on the way back to a sitting position. I got this to record a review video for youtube for the Cubii and it works great! I have a Canon T3i and it connected just fine to it, it took a couple minutes for me to figure out how to connect it considering I don't completely understand all my features of my camera, even after having it for a few years now. It's been awhile since I have ordered but I believe it came in a tiny box, which the remote was stored in a tiny black bag and it also came with instructions. The battery life is....well damn, it's great! I haven't had to change it since I have purchased it. The material of the remote is plastic, while the button is rubber, so I would say if you're rough with it. It's bound to break at some point. I haven't dropped it on anything hard so it's been fine with dropping on carpet. The durability is about what you would expect from a plastic remote. The size is about the size of my thumb, it's pretty tiny so it could be lost very easily if you misplace it. Other than that it works great! Works well for pictures or videos, even have my timer set and it seems to work fine! So must buy if you have a Canon (just make sure your camera is listed)!

When checking out remotes I was looking at the Nikon ML-L3 for my Nikon D5300. But this popped up and at a fraction of the price I had to go with it. So far I've used it about 8 times, at distances of up to 20 feet (yes it does only claim a 16 foot range). I haven't tried it any further to see if it would work farther away than that, but it worked flawlessly. Connects without any issue to my camera and has worked every time I pushed the button. I was very surprised to see the quality of packaging that it came in. I almost feel like Amazon spent half of the price of this item on that alone, when you consider this could have come in a simple padded envelope. The soft carrying case is also very nice and professional looking. So far I've continued to use it even though at first glance I thought I'd do away with it much sooner. It has been a great item to use and I'd recommend it as a replacement for any wireless remote.
