God of War has been a focal point in the Sony Exclusive list of games for years. It has been the big blockbuster (aside from Uncharted starting to step in and Killzone) this is looking to be a fantastic conclusion to an epic series. Granted, many have argued that God of War lacks story development, especially in the character department. However, this is shaping up to be a good look into the pathos and psychology of Kratos, our favorite angry Spartan. Before I get into the game, let me start off by saying the PSP that comes in the bundle looks fantastic. The red is beautifully put on it, not looking too blinding nor too pastel. It is the perfect red, the stripes on Kratos, and the blood that runs rampant in his violent legacy. The LCD and high resolution screen look great. Overall, it is a cool limited edition PSP that stands out on the uniqueness of its color scheme. Black representing wrath and anger, blood for the vengeance Kratos must pass. Now, one drawback to this bundle is that Kick-Ass and Ghost of Sparta do not come in a case, rather a risky cardboard cover. So don't expect to open it up to the brilliant artwork of the cover art. Nonetheless, that should not deter you from enjoying it. You still get the topnotch game Ready at Dawn has developed for the player. You can dive right in. Kick Ass looks gorgeous on the screen. The resolution is quite impressive for such a small portable system. It feels hi-def, and you'll enjoy sitting there. Plug in headphones though, as you won't hear much of the movie even with the volume up at max. This is good and bad. Still, it is fun to have a movie that stands on its own unique merit. Another sad thing is that it is a 2GB Memory Card. I know, 4 GB is double the size, yet it would be nice to have had. Overall, it has 1971 KB, which is substantial for getting Chain of Olympus. Apparently Chain of Olympus is 1.11 GB, so be ready to see a lot of that free space go away. However, you're getting the PSP's argued second-best game out in the market. So it's a pretty worthy investment. Ghost of Sparta handles well and gives the player a great game. Overall, I'd have to rate God of War a 9/10 for this adventure. I wish the campaign was longer, but it's a portable system, so for how long it is, I am happy with it. Overall, you are getting a steal here. 2 brilliant games with a PSP and a good movie. Enjoy my friends, enjoy. This package is a 10/10.

This is a great starter or replacement bundle. The two God of War games that come with it are some of the best games out for the PSP. I was a little disappointed that the actual cases didn't come with it and the fact that the first God of War game is just a download code off of the Playstation Store. Has everything you need to start gaming right away (includes a memory card also!) and even has the UMD version of the movie Kick Ass, which is a great movie by the way. If you've been on the fence about getting a PSP or need to replace one, this is a great bundle to get.

I bought this pack for my boyfriend after his old (name, really old) PSP 1000 finally died forever. He loves it. It is lighter than other PSPs I've seen, and the display is very clear with nice colors, much better quality than the version he had. The colors of the system itself (bright red and black) set it apart from the others and make it a little more fun to own. I would have bought a PSP regardless, but the bundle just made it better, as the GoW storyline is a favorite, even for me. I too was disappointed that the game and the movie did not come in legitimate plastic cases, but I can overlook that for the quality of the product. A million stars to you, Sony/Playstation and Amazon!

This is my first PSP. With so many AAA titles out on PSP (2xgow games, MGS, KH, FF games etc.), I thought it was finally time to buy a PSP. Especially during thanksgiving time, when Amazon and Sony were selling games for less than half the original prices. The only thing I was confused about was which PSP bundle to buy (especially since LBP PSP bundle was selling for $129 during black friday). In the end I am very happy I bought this one. Here is why. ********************PROS.********************* GREAT VALUE FOR CORE GAMERS: Other PSP bundles (like the ones with Little Big Planet or Madden NFL) were good, but this one had the most value to me. God of war: Ghost of Sparta ($40+) + God of War: Chain of Olympus ($20+) + Kickass Movie ($10+?) + PSP LE ($170+) + 2GB Memory Card ($10+) ----------------------------- Total of $250+ value for near $200. Other than Kickass movie (which is not bad either) pretty much everything a core gamer can ask for. Personally I dig it. THE LOOKS: While the color combination may seem strange to others, I personally liked how this LE edition of the PSP looks. One disclaimer though. THE BUTTONS ARE NOT RED as shown in the picture. They are clear with red marks (X,O, triangle, square) in them. I personally would have preferred them red, but never the less the PSP still looks slick. THE BOX ART: While this doesn't serve any functional purpose, it looks really cool. The image of Kratos with those murderous intent is just priceless. ************CONS.************** GAMES WITHOUT CASES: While it does come with 2 games and a movie, they all come in paper cover than actual cases like other PSP games and DVDs. Also, Chains of Olympus comes as a DLC. While it is not a big deal, I would have loved if these games came with cases and manuals. CHEAP BACK COVER: I am not sure if this is true for all the PSPs or this special edition or the one I got. But the back cover for UMD drive feels very cheap. It practically moves slightly left and right each time you hold the PSP. ***********CONCLUSION************** Contrary to the cons I mentioned, I still think this is a great value for your money. For God of War fans, this is a MUST.

My grandson loves it!

First off I want to note that this is not a review of the game, because I haven't finished it yet at the time of this writing I just wanted to run people through which is probably the biggest bargain Sony has ever put out which just happens to be tied in with one of if not the best PSP game ever to boot. I pre-ordered mine from here and got all the added pre-order bonuses none of which I believe will ever be available again so, I'm sorry if you guys missed out on that because there was a ton of stuff in the pre-order DLC pack that no GOW fan should be with out, it is however mostly content for your PS3 so if you don't have a PS3 you're not really missing much. I want to point out that the pictures are a bit misleading, the buttons are not a solid flat red they are a clear blood/crimson red and the front face of it is not a flat black but the glossy black like a regular PSP would be but all the writing is in the same crimson instead of the standard silver which was a nice touch, the middle is the same crimson yet again, I don't really understand why the chose such an ugly shade of red for the back side or why the made the backside red at all but at least you don't have to look at it while you're playing the game. Okay in the box there's the standard charger and stuff you get with any PSP but there's also a game voucher for God of War: Chains of Olympus which still sells on the network at a $20 value and also a download code for a new skin in God of War 3, which I've yet to try out but it was a hug file download so I'm thinking it's more than a skin and is an entirely new model for the game to play with just as much detail as what Kratos had originally in the game, I might update this section one I actually try it out, sorry. There's a 2GB memory stick which is also like a $20 value, an actual UMD copy of the movie Kick-Ass (I'm not sure if Amazon won't censor that so I'll say the movie Kick-Butt?) anyways and I'm not sure how much a value that is since I wasn't even aware they were still putting new movies on UMD anymore but I think it sells on there network store for 20-25 bucks. Then there is the actual God of War: Ghost of Sparta UMD which is like a $40 value and is totally a awesome game so far and sorry guys but there's not an actual case for Ghost of Sparta just a little paper sleeve and the instruction manual, which isn't really that big of a shame for me since I hardly use the cases anyways. Anyways even without all pre-order bonuses this is still a killer deal, this is the FOURTH PSP I've bought and I jumped on this mainly because the two disc based PSPs I have (1000 and a 2000) were all beat up and used when I got em resulting in craptacular performance, and I'm just kinda sick of not being able to play all the disc based games my girlfriend has because Sony doesn't have them on the store and even if they did they'd charge some crazy price for me to get it on my PSPGo. Anyways jump on this if you're into getting the most bang for your buck I'm not gonna tally this EP's total value since I'm sure you can do the math yourself but you get two FULL GAMES and two the best you can have, the memory stick, a movie and a little bonus to make playing through GOW3 not so tedious if you're trying to get a platinum trophy. I understand this is a limited edition so it's probably not gonna be a available forever so go get it and then kill things and beat monsters to a bloody... erm in the game not with the psp...

my son was really surprised when he got this psp. he had had one before but years of wear and tear got the best of it. so i of course replaced it. he was as happy as could be..too bad a few days later he dropped it and the door on the back came off. he fortunatly knew someone who was able to fix it and still works great. btw the color is great didnt think it was going to be that nice!

Finally got this from Amazon today, and just unboxed it. I had put off buying a PSP-3000 for 3 years because of the alleged screen problems. My PSP-2000 of 3 years stopped reading UMDs, and I figured this would be a nice replacement, (well I was going to get it anyway, but still...). The UMDs do indeed come in cardboard sleeves as other reviewers have noted, and there are indentations for the other items included in the plastic. Now on to the PSP itself. It is a nice candy red on the black, contrasted with glossy black on the front with red buttons (the start/select/PS/brightness/volumes buttons are black.) I for one hate glossy black with a passion, I have no clue why manufacturers insist every gadget be glossy. But in this one case, coupled with the red black, it makes the PSP exude sexiness. Seriously though, it's not as bad as I thought, although the picture makes it look like a matte black. There are no scanlines from what I can tell, and I've started playing Ghost of Sparta and flipped through the XMB fast. Haven't watched the included movie yet, but I don't expect any scanlines there either. Bottom line, don't wait for Sony to come out with the PSP2, get this now!! Ghost of Sparta is awesome!

I've actually owned a couple different PSP systems over the years, but this bundle is the best, IMO. One downfall is no case for the UMD's, but I believe that's been the case with all of these types of PSP bundles. I bought the J&D bundle a couple of years ago and the same thing applied. Getting both God of War PSP games with this bundle is awesome and the PSP itself is probably the coolest I've seen of any. The black and red combo, coupled with the red buttons and writing make it look slick. You also get the movie Kick-ass, which fits this bundle well, plus a 2GB memory stick. I know some bundles only come with a 1GB stick and some don't come with one at all. Overall, if you are in the market for a PSP you can get a plane jane one for 169 bucks with nothing extra. Or spend 30 more dollars to get 2 of the top PSP games, a great movie and 2 GB memory stick, which you are going to need to have anyway. Great bundle!
