Arrived on-time and in factory-sealed condition. If you already own the controllers from a previous 360 and don't want any additional games included (or Kinect), this 4GB package along with a 250GB HD bought separately can be a smarter buy if your timing's right. The price on these (as well as the HDs) fluctuate so often that many people will end up getting a better bargain buying the 250GB bundle. The day after I got one of these, the price went back up another $15 and the 250GB bundle price went down slightly. All that aside, I chose this bundle primarily for the matte black finish (rather than the glossy) and, as an added bonus, they threw a bunch of Xbox Live Arcade games on the 4GB memory drive. My old Xbox was bought in '07 and served me well all the way up until this one arrived. It was really starting to show its age and was getting noisier by the day. This new one is so much better, quieter... hell, even the games seem to run and look a lot smoother. If you're tired of listening to your old 360 croaking and whining, this is the upgrade to get.

Call me old. Call me a big sissy. Call me whatever you want, but I still watch DVD's. I'm sorry. I know you stream everything. I know you can't be held down with physical media. I know you are young and think you can quit your job and just travel the world with no responsibility. You don't need a bedroom. You don't need healthcare. The only thing you need is a plane ticket and a dream. Yeah, Yeah... But someday. Someday.. The air mattress on the floor will seem lower to the ground. Someday you will wake up in pain and wish you had a primary car provider and insurance. Someday you will need all the creature comforts and security of a home. What then? Where is that plane ticket going to take you? Where are those flip flops going to take you? Where is that half eaten burrito, and that trail mix in your beat up old knapsack going to get you? Nowhere. And I will be home, in my comfortable chair, enjoying a move because this x-box 360 has an indestructible DVD player that will outlast your memory after you have forgotten your Netflix password.

Okay so I bought this from Cambria Bail Bonds for about $80 about 2 years ago and I must say I am so incredibly pleased. Let me give you the lowdown, won't you? The console came in beautiful condition (a few bumps and scratches but who cares?) with all of the wires and even a fully-functioning controller with only a few scratches. Of course, this system was used and my mother had warned me that it would probably be broken or break quickly and I am very pleased to say that I have yet to find an issue. My console connects to the internet perfectly and doesn't seem to have any problems. My friend bought a used 360 around the same time I did for $120 (from a different company) and hers broke less than a year after purchase. All I had to do to get this console working was buy a hard drive for memory purposes and an HDMI cable (this console came with an AV jack cable). In case anyone's confused, this is one of the newest models of the Xbox 360 so it has a built-in cooling system. Couldn't be happier with a used console!

I ordered this Xbox 360 just before New Years, so naturally it didn't arrive until the next Monday. When I opened it up, I will say that the Xbox itself seemed to be in fairly good condition, though the controller was a little finicky and some of the wiring was exposed on the AV cables. It wasn't "Like New" at all, as was advertised, but I didn't honestly mind. I was just happy that everything worked and that I had to pay very very little to get it here. Of course, the rollercoaster started after that when I tried to download the latest update for the xbox and found that there was NO storage device on the xbox whatsoever. It is a 4GB system and they are supposed to come with built-in memory, but either that memory has somehow been physically removed or there was something wrong internally with the xbox that made it not recognize that it was there. Needless to say, I was fairly upset at first, but I thankfully had an external hard drive for my PC that I managed to hook up to the console and everything was relatively okay after that. I contacted HY Games pretty shortly after I learned this fact, and I must say they were very curteous and determined to see that I was compensated for my problem. It had been a mix-up on their end and they were ready to try and fix the problem, whether it be a partial refund or otherwise. They soon sent me an external hard drive to put into the console free of charge for my problems, and I can tell you now that it works perfectly, so all of my problems are solved. I rarely have put the controller down since I got this console, and I have to say that, despite the rollercoaster of problems, this was a very good purchase and HY Games have some fantastic people working for them.

I rarely give anything 5 stars, especially with Microsoft, but the Xbox is definately a winner. Set-up was effortless. All I had to do was put in my hotmail username/password and wait about 20 minutes for the box to update the software. So far it's totally been worth the money. This box is actually a huge multimedia streaming device that just happens to play cool video games. With a Gold membership, I have access to my Amazon library, Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, and Internet Explorer. That's not considering that it can stream my music and ripped DVD collection from my desktop. For cable subscribers, with a $100 cablecard device, you can have the cable guy hook-up your desktop to Winows Media Center. This gives DVR functionality to your computer. The Xbox will interface with your computer and stream your live TV and recorded programs in HD. Did you know that Microsoft developed the software that Cable/satellite companies use for total Home DVR? It's called XBMC (sound familiar?)and it's already built into the Xbox and Windows. With a second Xbox in another room, you can use the same interface to access live TV and recorded programs from your desktop depending on how many tuners your cablecard device has. Total Home DVR usually costs $50-$60 a month extra on your cable bill. Microsoft offers it as a free service. Of course, that requires a lot of bandwidth, so you may want to consider upgrading your router or internet speed if it's not very fast.

My son got Skylanders for Christmas, but was unable to play it because his old Xbox (which we got used) finally bit the bullet. We also gave the kids new wireless controllers which would not connect to the old console. I promised him a new Xbox for his birthday, and he hasn't been disappointed yet. This Xbox came with a wireless controller and the two others connected without problems. If you are considering purchasing any type of gaming console, I would definitely recommend the Xbox. It's well worth the money to get a new one. You never know how a used one has been cared for (or not cared for) and all the money you save up front can be lost to multiple repairs in the long run. While I would not consider our family to be "gamers" we do enjoy playing several Xbox games together as a family.

First off: Original xbox games REQUIRE a harddrive on the xbox 360 which the 4GB does not have Some xbox 360 games REQUIRE a harddrive on the xbox 360 which the 4GB does not have This console is built exactly like the 250gb slim with the obvious exception of memory size. I won't go deep into the features because you can read that in the product description. Anyway, there's a very good chance 4GB will not be enough to play games. So you have 3 options: upgrading the memory via xbox 360 hard drives, purchasing USB flashdrives, or taking a chance hoping you'll never have to install a game or buy dlc. (downloadable content) On the back of every xbox game, there is fine print on the bottom for memory usage. Take Halo 4 for example, you'll need to install parts of the game in order to play online. There isn't enough space on the 4GB hard drive, but you can install the information onto a USB flash drive and play online perfectly fine. There are many 16-32GB for around $10-$30 on Amazon.com that would be more cost efficient than springing for a larger hard drive. Personally, I play many more games on my Playstation 3 than my xbox 360, so I don't see myself upgrading it's hard drive anytime soon. I did buy a 16GB hard drive so I can play Halo 4 online. All in all, if you understand what you're paying for, then the 4GB makes a powerful, affordable home console.

I bought this Xbox 360 S 4GB console, and separately purchased both the Xbox 360 250GB hard drive for the 360 S console and the Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer Cable (all sold by Amazon) so that we could replace our old Xbox 360 that had been crashing. I first transferred all our games and videos from our old Xbox 360 to the 250 GB hard drive by connecting the 250 GB hard drive to our old Xbox via the USB connector on the Hard Drive Transfer Cable. The transfer was very easy because the Xbox detected the Transfer Cable and prompted us to perform the data transfer. Then, I installed the 250 GB hard drive into our new 360 S console by following the instructions that came with the 250 GB hard drive. This was all very easy to do, and the new 360S console worked perfectly immediately. When we now choose "Settings" and then "System" and then "Storage", we have three storage devices listed: Hard Drive (the 250 GB hard drive), the Memory Unit (4 GB that came in the Console), and Cloud Saved Games. We have all our add-ons, stored games, and stored videos (movies) on the 250 GB hard drive, and they all play the same as they do on Xbox consoles that come with hard drives already installed. We never store anything on the 4GB Memory Unit because it is simply too small--you MUST have the 250GB hard drive if you are a gamer, have stored games and/or videos, and/or have add-ons. Installing the 250 GB hard drive in the 360S gives you the same console as you would get by purchasing an Xbox with the internal hard drive already installed. Going this "do-it-yourself" route was a significant savings over purchasing a new Xbox with the 250 GB internal hard drive already installed. I give the console, the 250 GB hard drive, and the Hard Drive Transfer Cable five stars. However, my son gives the bubble wrap packaging a one star because all the bubbles were popped, which would of have been a source of entertainment for him while I was transferring data. :D

Great console!! I bought this for my son. I used to have the first generation of Xbox 360 (the white one) and i love it. My son uses all the weekends and recently upgrade the internal storage. Is a great console. Doesn't have the temperature issues as the previus versions, have integrated WIFI, have HDMI port for a better picture quality. Several USB ports to make it more versatile. Is just great!

I was always a Ps2 animal; I hated the XBOX mostly because I can't stand the Halo series (I hate first person shooter games). I decided to get the Xbox because I realized that more of the RPG and simulation games I like are on Xbox 360, and also the PS3 is way more expensive. Having played the xbox for about 12 hours (I got it yesterday) I am so impressed. The graphics are beyond amazing(I have a 32'in TV) and there is no lag of any kind. Xbox Live also works well . I have played Tekken 6 and Mortal Kombat so far and it is just awesome. I never got this excited over the PS2. The only regret I have is that God of War III is not available for XBOX 360. But there are enough games that are available to make up for it. I am going to play Final Fantasy 13 and 13- 2 this afternoon, and I am so excited. The price of the xbox 360 was also very reasonable (I got mine for $198.00 with tax and shipping charges). At the stores I checked, it's still around $210-249 (Best Buy, Frys etc.). I like doing online shopping so I buy all my gaming stuff online. So looking at Amazons great prices, it's definitely more rational and efficient to buy it here than at a store for anyone. I strongly recommend this product to all who love gaming as much as I. I will update this review in the future if I have any problems. thank you for reading.
