The best water bottle

This is an absolutely fantastic water bottle--the best I've owned. I have male and female rats; currently 4 of each in two separate cages. My males have been known to chew apart their plastic water bottles, and, even more annoyingly, every large plastic water bottle I've ever put in their cage leaks (within an hour it's empty). I have no idea why this happens, but it's been frustrating to put tiny plastic water bottles all over their cage, since they drink so much water. I decided to try this glass bottle to simultaneously combat the chewing and leaking problems, and additionally because I hate the idea of the plastic breaking down and leaching dangerous chemicals into their water supply. Plus, when cleaning, it's easier to get all of the soap suds out of glass than it is from plastic. I am happy to report that this water bottle has met all of my expectations, and even exceeded them in the case of its hanging mechanism (it's quite sturdy but small and easy to use). The water bottle does not leak at all and is totally chew-proof. My only wish is that it contained absolutely no plastic--the top of the bottle is plastic covered with a metal piece to prevent chewing. But it's certainly better than any bottle I've seen this far, and safer for sure. I just purchased one for my females' cage!

Requires tight seal to align nostle properly. Those with dexterity issues, may need a rubber gripper to loosen to refill water.

Cuddles figured this out right away. I enjoy the easy cleaning. It has not leaked. 10 yr old has greater awareness with the visual carrot in the water bottle and it is easier for her to hook and unhook on the outside of his house. Flat side rests nice against wall.

Amazing

I was very impressed with the 12 ounce bottle. No leakage at all and glass was very thick so the water stayed nice and cold. When I got it in person I was not expecting it to look as big as it was. Great price, would buy again.

Best bottle for guinea pigs!!

This is the best water bottle ever for guinea pigs. They love it! It is so much easier for them to drink from. I have a herd of 4 boys and I first got one of these bottles in the small cage I bought for taking them to the vet. I bought other brands (I wanted them to have more than one bottle.) and they would always go for this one and not touch the others. So I bought two more to make sure there was enough to go around. So instead of one bottle getting refilled every few hours, I refill all three at least twice a day. I got a happy herd of piggies.

Larger than expected

I ordered 2 of these because I thought that 11 oz was kinda small. I was wrong they are plenty big, but I think that even if I had known I still would have ordered 2 so that my rats would always have water in the cage even when I'm refilling one. Can't say how well they work yet because I haven't got the rats yet. I did have to twist the water spout part to get it to line up with the flat side of the bottles though which was slightly frustrating but I really can't knock off a star for that as it was a relatively easy fix.

Love Them! Best bottles ever

I love these water bottles! they never ever leak for me! One of the bottles did come broken though, the metal part at the bottom that screws into the glass piece comes off a lot but, there is a piece of plastic underneath so it still works just fine. I have them velcroed with industrial strength water resistant velcro to my Guinea Pigs DIY cage and they work great! if they do leak for you, don't fill them all the way to the top this will help them not leak I like them much better than the kaytee glass bottles

I'm so happy she is finally on the bottle

LoveLoveLoveLove!!! I had so many worries about my yellow nape Amazon drinking out of this that I nearly didn't buy it. I've had her for almost 30 years and she'd been drinking from a cup for that long. I had such a hard time keeping her water clean that I decided to find options. It took her about two weeks to convince me that she was getting enough water from it. I couldn't catch her in the act and she seemed petrified at first. I tried coating the metal part with a small bit of peanut butter and that was enough to entice her to play with it. I'm so happy she is finally on the bottle! Clean fresh water all the time! Don't regret this purchase one bit!

Perfect for a hamster who chews through everything.

This is the only bottle I could find that was chew-proof. Our hamster was chewing through every plastic water bottle I tried including the ones with only a plastic cap, or with guards around them. I was worried about him dehydrating himself or getting sick because he would chew through a bottle overnight and thus all the water would spill all over his cage and wet the bedding. This glass bottle with the stainless steel spout and cap did the trick! I am very satisfied with this item.

The only bottles I'll use!

First I would like to say that I have tried tons of different bottles for my rats, as well as past small animals. Both store brands as well as ones name brand. I always had problems with either leaking or the bottles simply not dispensing water properly. These bottles are AMAZING. They have never leaked on me once, and I can always trust them to keep my fur babies hydrated. I have four total. Three on my main cage, and one that I use on a hospital cage. I seriously recommend them.

I love this one

I ordered the 12 ounce bottle. I love this one! It does not leak. It hooks to the cage two ways, which I like. I am ordering another one because its awesome!! I do find right when you put it in the cage it does drop a little, but once its in there just which that water off and you are good to go!
