Alot of ENERGY no crash
This is an honest and true review of this item, which I purchased full price on Amazon.com: I have been using Amino energy for over a year now and I'm not looking to change. It has been a complete lifesaver for working graveyards. I have plenty of energy throughout the night with no crash and when I get home, I can fall asleep easily. The grape flavor is one of my favorites, it reminds me of a grape otter pop. There is nothing I would change about this product, I recommend it to everyone.

great energy water
I'm not much of a coffee drinker and was looking for an alternative to some of the expensive energy waters that are sold. This doesn't have much in the way of calories (10 per serving) and it gives me the kick and boost I need without the crash I'd get from canned energy drinks. I have it everyday, even on the days I'm not working out. For my workouts, I do go with four scoops for double the caffeine and I find it helps immensely with my workouts. I also have another two scoops post workout and it definitely helps with recovery. The taste is great, the energy is gives is excellent, and it's very affordable (about $50 cents per drink instead of over $2.00).

great product for anyone who is looking for a pre-workout that is inexpensive and comprised of natural ingredients
Optimum Nutrition Amino Energy is a great product for anyone who is looking for a caffeine boost or pre-workout that is inexpensive and comprised of natural ingredients. I am basing this judgement on simplicity of ingredients, cost per serving, taste, and overall effectiveness. I have used several popular pre-workout brands over the past few years and noticed they all caused my skin to break out. I bought this product because it contains the simple ingredients of amino acids and natural-sourced caffeine, so I know I won’t have that issue. There is also 0 sugar and only 5-10 calories per serving which is great for anyone who is trying to lose weight. Though I have seen complaints, I have found the unique serving size helpful. Many other products contain around 300mg per serving, which can make you jittery and keep you awake hours later. With 50 grams of caffeine per scoop of Amino Energy, it is very easy to control the strength of the drink you make to fit your use and caffeine tolerance. I generally mix 2-3 scoops with cold water as a pre-workout. This amounts to $0.67-$1.00 per use, which is much cheaper than most other products. I have tried 6 of the 29 flavors and really enjoyed them all. Amino acids can have a distinct taste that is difficult to mask, but I think Optimum Nutrition does a great job of blending it with their flavors. There is a wide variety of fruit and coffee-based options to choose from. You can have a scoop of iced caramel macchiato or vanilla iced latte as a morning pick-me-up and then use strawberry-lime or watermelon for a more traditional pre-workout taste. If you are looking to try a new pre-workout and you value natural ingredients, I highly recommend buying Optimum Nutrition’s Amino Energy.

I am obsessed with this stuff!
I seriously don't know what I did before I found this stuff. I drink 2 scoops in the before I go to spin class and 2 scoops in the afternoon and I feel so lively and full of energy the whole day. Usually, caffeine doesn't affect me much, I could drink 2 cups of coffee and feel nothing but for some reason, Amino Energy is able to boost my energy right away. I love the iced chai tea latte flavor I mix it with 20 oz of almond milk and it tastes great. It can be a bit too sweet if you use more than 2 scoops though. I've tried the blueberry mojito flavor too but it was a little too artificial/soda tasting for my liking but it was still good.

Great tasting pre-work out!
A couple things: The flavor is great. I love the chai flavor. The energy I get is great. It’s nothing like the major rush of an actual pre work out where all my nerves tingle and I wanna run through a wall. But I’m not dead either. It’s almost like a drank a cup of coffee. As far as actual benefits, that’s really subjective to the individual so I will not include it. Everyone’s work out routines and diets are immensely different and won’t be based off this product alone. However I like that it includes everything it does unlike most of the pre workouts that solely focus on providing energy. Overall it’s got a great taste and blends well in smoothies. Delivers good energy levels. Would buy again.

I like both, but prefer the caramel macchiato
I have tried both the mocha and iced caramel macchiato flavors. I like both, but prefer the caramel macchiato. The mocha one seems "chalky", if you will. It is hard to describe. The flavor isn't as good but there's something about the after taste. This preworkout doesn't make me feel jittery or hyper, but it does help me get extra reps/an extra mile/ extra crunches/ etc. I recommend this! Try mixing it with dark chocolate almond milk, 8oz, and the rest water! Really helps with flavor. :) Update 7/10/18, the mocha gives me a headache and upsets my stomach but the other doesn't. Caramel for the win. Mix with skim milk!

Figured out that weird, hollow steel-like Amino taste!
I have historically hated Amino Energy's taste, last year I tried the Mojito flavor and ended up giving it to a friend. So just recently I wanted some cheap energy(cheap compared to gfuel), and bought some Iced Mocha Cappucino thinking the uniquely terrible Amino flavor would be masked by the coffee type of the Cappucino. At first the weird, steel, hollow flavor that I was dreading came crawling back to me. But I figured it out after 3 wrongs. Here's how to fix it if you have ever had the same problem as me: 1. Use milk or almond milk(almond preferred in my opinion). In recipes that call for water or milk, usually milk gives a better flavor profile. 2. Unlike a lot of other dense energy drinks, a scoop of Amino doesn't actually accept a lot of liquid. A scoop of gfuel will saturate an entire bottle of water. But that tiny scoop of Amino? 5oz/150mL. Yeah, that's it. Really look at the measurement instructions and you too, will fix the weird Amino flavor! The reason this was happening to me constantly was because a serving size called for 10oz of liquid per TWO scoops. So I was effectively diluting the mixture by half! I still prefer gfuel since it is primarily meant in water, lasts a long time and the fazeberry flavor really sticks it to your to-do list. 5 stars to Amino, though. Just for the price. How could you not??

Peach Lemonade and Cotton candy and they are all great. Cotton candy is different than I expected
I've tried the Vanilla Chai, Vanilla Latte, Peach Lemonade and Cotton candy and they are all great. Cotton candy is different than I expected, it's a bit more on the light blue raspberry side with a cotton candy aftertaste but I think it is my favorite so far. The coffee/chai flavored ones are great with almond milk in the morning as a coffee substitute and the Peach Lemonade is deliciously sweet and tangy.

Energy to Get in the Gym and Aminos to Support the Workout
While there are a number of flavors, I like the Iced Mocha Cappuccino the best because it combines well with other flavors of protein shake. I add two scoops with my morning Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Vanilla Plant Based Vegan Protein Powder and another two scoops in the afternoon with Optimum Nutrition On Protein Energy Supplement, Mocha Cappuccino before my workout. In the morning the Amino Energy works like a morning coffee, but without all the sugar (and time and expense) of stopping at Starbucks. After work, Amino Energy helps me get a second wind so I can get in the gym. After using Amino Energy for a couple months, I have noticed some improved vascularity as well. I like the coffee taste, especially when combined with my morning vanilla shake. There is a enough caffeine to provide a pick-me-up without getting jittery and the aminos help with my post-lift pump. If you're looking for a healthy way to have a coffee-house treat, this is an excellent option

Optimum Amino Energy
This stuff out of the other flavors is my favorite. It doesn't make you feel like crap and it does give me a little edge to my workouts. Also - and to note the most effective part of this is the drastic reduction in muscle soreness. After working out it seems that this stuff does help with relieving some of that. This in turn makes it easier to go back and keep working on it! I have the peach and blue flavor one and when those are gone I am going to get a couple more bottles of the grape!
