These put the car at a perfect height for working on things while on a creeper
I used these ramps to do a lot of work under my '93 Camaro because I don't have room for a lift at my house. These put the car at a perfect height for working on things while on a creeper. Having the car on jack stands just didn't work that well for this purpose. I also needed these to work on my suspension while it was loaded. The only problem I had with these was getting the car onto them reliably. I have a decently high-lift jack, but I could hardly get the wheels onto the cribs because they are so tall. I solved this by putting one of my rear tires on a spare wheel while jacking the other wheel up at the lower control arm mount right next to the tire. This gave me just enough clearance to get the one side on the crib, and then I repeated for the other side. For the front, I had to use my engine hoist on the front bumper bar to lift the car high enough for the unloaded suspension to clear the crib. This is not a problem with the product itself but it is a problem that many will face during use. I might suggest trying the shorter ones if you don't absolutely need the 12" height of these cribs just for the reason that they are difficult to use.

So Far, So Good - Excellent Access!
So far, so good. One caveat: AFTER purchase I discovered these are not to be used for extended periods of time in direct sunlight. I am in the process of getting this car off the cribs and pushing it uphill into the covered carport where it will once again be elevated with this product. Also, I do not think you are supposed to leave a vehicle on these for extended periods of time. I am going to do this because it was why I spent all this money for four of these two-piece 12" cribs: the car will live on them while I do my restoration. If they do not work out for this purpose I will amend my review accordingly. I like this product quite a bit, so even if I cannot "misuse" them my rating will stay at five stars. Getting my old car an entire foot higher up off the ground has greatly simplified so much of the work I am doing. It is just as easy now as working beneath my lifted Jeep. Complete access with no real fear like with jack stands. Highly recommended, so far. Fingers crossed. I will update over time.

The Bees Knees for underbody work without a lift
Pros: - Sturdy - Wide platform for wheels - Lightweight - 12" of lift provides a good amount of room to work under the car for longer projects - Allows suspension to be fully loaded in neutral position while raised up - important for certain chassis work - Made in the USA! Cons: - Expensive compared with jack stands (but still a great value) - Additional care needed when grinding/welding since they are made of foam not steel like jack stands/steel ramps (I place a piece of aluminum flashing or sheet metal or a fiberglass blanket around it to shield it from sparks) - Take up a bit more space in storage than comparable lift stands

INCREDIBLY LIGHTWEIGHT, STRONG AND STURDY. WOW!
The first thing most people notice about these Race Ramps is the price. I sure did. After I considered the pain of struggling with cumbersome jack stands since 1970 and never being quite able to comfortably reach the part I'm working on, I realized that it was past time I upgraded. These Race Ramps are worth every penny. They are incredibly lightweight, strong and steady and allow all the room a shade tree mechanic needs. The upper pieces weigh only 2 pounds and 1.4 ounces each. The lower pieces weigh only 2 pounds and 2.4 ounces each. A toddler could easily use these for building blocks. Over the years, I've heard stories about jack stands rocking/shifting under weight and even breaking. These Race Ramps won't shift or break and the crib design keeps the tire from rolling. I saw some 2" x 12" boards crack in half one time and a wheel slam the ground injuring a DIY'er mechanic. This set of Race Ramps RR-WC-8-2 8" Adjustable Wheel Crib is 4 pieces, 2 lowers and 2 uppers. One upper and one lower, stacked together as designed, can be placed under two wheels raising the two wheels 8 inches. One piece can be place under each of four wheels raising the entire vehicle 3.75 inches. Before ordering, you might want to test your vehicle and jack and see exactly how high it will lift your wheels off the floor. Another great feature of these stackable shorter blocks comes into play here. If your jack will not raise your vehicle wheels 8 inches, simply raise it 4 inches. Most all jacks are capable of a 4-inch lift. Place one lower section under the wheels and lower the jack. Place a 4-inch block on the jack plate and raise your vehicle again. Your vehicle wheels will raise a bit over 8 inches above the ground. Add the upper Race Ramp section and lower the jack. Don't jack around with safety. Put your baby in a safe crib and go to work. Made in USA.

Wasn't worried about the car falling on me
Theses come in handy for anything. I used them to work underneath my car and i wasn't worried about the car falling on me at all .I took my transmission out and had to put another one in i just don't feel safe w/ jack stands. I bought the 12" . I had to use 4 - 2×4 pieces of wood to get it up there lol but I felt safe crawling in and out under the car. Thank you so much they will last forever. Sheila Bryant phoenix,Az

Very durable ramps!
We are impressed with these ramps! We are using them for our 1987 C4 Corvette while we do some work underneath the car & under the dash. Trying to add a pic, but it's not letting me!

Excellent for working under the car.
Excellent for working under the car. I use them with my 2014 Corvette and they are wide enough to support the wide tires. They are very stable. I trust them more than jack stands. I appreciate the adjustable design because it is much easier to lift the car 5 inches at a time instead of trying to lift each corner 10 inches. Remember that you have to lift the car quite a bit more than the height of the blocks because the suspension allows the tires/wheels to lower several inches when jacking up the car. These provide sufficient room to work under the car and they much easier than trying to find locations to place the jack stands where they won't be in your way. My only complaint is that they are very expensive given the foam construction.

Hellz yes! Make your life easy and baller when needing to PROPERLY install and torque pivoting/bushed suspension components. The car sits high enough you can manage doing clutch changes ect. Extremely lightweight! Very very stout! Don't settle for DIY unsafe wheel cribs!! Don't be dumb and do yourself a favor and use these one piece cribs and look like you know what the hell you are doing!

If you are working underneath the truck these work like a charm!
Used these to put a new transmission in my 1999 Chevy Suburban they worked like a charm much more stable than jack stands and weren't in the way like jack stands. The only bad part is getting the truck up on was a bit of a pain had to use a wooden block to get the extra range for Lift. Just get the two step units that come in halfblocks lift 6 inch at a time per side and you'll do fine. Make sure to use wheel chocks on the back tires!

Great safe solid product.
These work great, have my 1970 TR6 sitting on them right now. Love all the room to get under the car and have access to the whole frame. I’ll use these to to do the body work but if I was a little shorter the 12” would be too tall. I’m 6’2 and can just reach the center of hood, if it was a hardtop I would have to lower it. The car sits on them feeling very solid with no movement. I think I would have been happier if I had gotten the 8-10” or the stackable ones. Saying that these are great and work as they should.
