When first setting up this monitor, this model does NOT automatically switch to the input that you plugged into it. For example, If using HDMI (or anything other than VGA), you will need to press the "arrow into the screen" button (just to left of power button) repeatedly until it begins to cycle between inputs. Nowhere in the manual does it say this, I had to find out my calling Asus technical support. Beyond the setup woes, the monitor works great now. Only time will tell if I keep loving it, but so far so good.

If you are like me, you need a good monitor (a bigger monitor) to be able to read the letters (as these smaller laptops) are more designed for someone with perfect 20/20 vision. Anyhow, when my last monitor broke, I needed an immediate solutions, so I went to my local WalMart and purchased a 24" Vizio (it was a TV - I did not realize there would be a difference). I hooked it up and immediately found out there was. The videos looked amazing on it, but because I use my computer for work, I needed to be able to read the letters. All of the letters were blurry and hard to read. So I went online, watch some videos and found out there are many differences in "monitors" and "TV's" mainly about picture quality. So I found this one. I just got it, and it looks amazing. Everything is so crisp and clear. Only downside, is the speakers. They function, but even at the highest volume they are not very loud. But that is okay by me, I needed a monitor, I have my own external speakers.

Not sure why some have quality control issues I guess its like that with most monitors but this is my second Asus monitor in 8 years ( my last one lasted that long with heavy use ) still works but needs warmed up for picture to become stable. Anyway, getting one with no dead pixels zero defects isn't easy. I've tried all other brands that cost even more and they had dead pixels. I HATE dead pixels even just one. I refuse to accept a monitor that has any. Received this monitor, ZERO dead pixels, ZERO flaws anywhere function wise or external wise. Its also very light weight. Stand is super super easy to install with a quick release screw. I use the VESA mount so I have full adjustment on my desk. Picture is also very crisp n clear. Colors are dead on perfect with no adjustment. It will come too bright. Thats the only thing I had to turn WAY down. Brightness and contrast has to be adjusted but thats super easy. Thats it, great monitor!

I bought two of the 24" ASUS monitors and so far they have been far better than previous versions of ASUS monitors I have had. Color balance was very good right out of the box, and was easy to adjust to make it better for me. While they do come with built in speakers, they lack the power output to be 'good'. I have external speakers, so that does not bother me, but could be an issue if you do not. Would recommend these for any system though.

I just received this monitor and hooked it up as part of my PC upgrade. It's a great monitor with a great clear picture considering its hooked to my VGA and not HDMI. It has a sturdy base and 3 inputs. I just wish it moved vertically, but it's ok. Sidenote: I attempted to buy one used before this one, but I received the right box but older version that didn't match the description. It was a pain in the butt! They refunded me and I bought this one new.

I bought this monitor for two main reasons. First, I needed 100x100mm VESA holes with at least 1/4" of flat space around them to fit my Amazon Basics monitor arm (http://amzn.to/2ABi6Qz). Second, because I was needing to move my monitor closer, to be in reading-glasses range, I needed a slightly smaller monitor than my 27" Samsung. I found when I got reading-glasses close to that monitor, I had to swivel my head to take in the whole screen. I'd rather move only my eyeballs. This one fit both requirements perfectly. It has a VGA input (which I needed) as well as HDMI and one more, and had a very easy-to-reach power switch below the left edge of the monitor, for easy on-off. It was a perfect fit with the monitor arm, and now I can move the monitor to wherever I need it, very easily. Recommended. The settings out-of-the-box were perfect, and I have no complaints at all.

So far so good! I love that I don’t need to turn it on, it only turns on when I plug the hdmi into my computer. Then when I remove the hdmi it powers down. I don’t know if all screens do this but it’s a feature I like. Mounts and easy to install. Thin and fits nicely against the wall. Only drawback is volume, my computer speakers are even louder. I only use volume for YouTube so not a big deal breaker for me. Good buy for the price.

I have two 24" gaming monitors from ASUS and this model is a cut below those. They can adjust vertical position as well as twist and turn. This one cannot adjust up and down. The screen quality is very good and identical to the higher priced gaming images. I believe it is well worth the price and I've had good reliability from ASUS monitors so far.

I bought this monitor as a replacement for our HP computer. This monitor is beautiful. It is super thin and our pictures look fabulous when displayed on the full 24in monitor. With everybody putting their pictures online now, it's nice to see all of your digital photographs with great color and this is the monitor to do it. I could not be happier with my choice and I would not hesitate to purchase any monitor made by the Asus Corporation.

Great 24" monitor that has a beautiful display and is great for gaming or even casual watching. It's slim, sturdy, and overall stands solid on a flat desk. The monitor stand allows the screen to move up and down while keeping it's stability. I can't really say anything bad overall about this monitor and it's a great buy. Probably the best thing about this ASUS monitor is that it's also at a reasonable price, it isn't too expensive and it ain't too cheap to be actually cheap. The 1080p is so clear and great too, you can really notice the difference if you watch 1080p videos or just pictures in general and you can really see how clear and nice it is. Overall, it is a very nice monitor that I highly recommend if you want a monitor with 1080p capabilities or just a better monitor in general.
