Purchased this ironing board for my wife four months ago. In the past we always bought the regular, useless in six months, ironing board. I was skeptical at first to pay so much for just an ironing board, but read the positive reviews and decided to take a chance. What a complete surprise this high quality ironing board is. I worked as an automotive engineer in one of my past jobs and it's easy to tell that this is no ordinary ironing board. This is a well engineered, robust product. Never thought I would be amazed at something as mundane as an ironing board, but when a company designs and builds something so well, people deserve to know about it. It's the BMW of ironing boards. All other ironing boards are Yugos in comparison. I don't even mind ironing (on the rare occasion) on this board. The iron platform on the end is a great idea, as is the clothes hanger. Well thought out additions. Buy this ironing board and you won't be disappointed, even at the relatively high price (for an ironing board). Highly recommended.

I'm 6'2" and I purchased this board specifically to replace an inferior board (shorter by 2 inches, and weaker smaller legs which were bending). I love the height of this board. It's pretty comfortable. I still wish it was another inch or two higher but it's a nice improvement from what I'm used to. My box arrived in perfect condition. There was adequate cardboard padding inside around the middle to cushion blows. The board itself is in excellent condition save for a couple bad creases in the board cushion which need to be ironed out because I see those creases transferring to shirts when I iron them. The board is stable, doesn't wobble at all. I like how heavy it is. The ironing tray is awesome! Just punch out the rubber pad from the side where the heating element goes and you are ready to go. I like the cord minder, very helpful. The hanging rack is ok. It needs to be 6" higher for me because my clothes are partly on the floor. I've never seen a board with a sleeve board on it. I tried it and found it to be unhelpful. I'm used to just ironing on a main board with a lot less effort and time wasted. Nice touch, but I won't use it. I like the extra width and larger radius at the top of the board! It makes ironing shirts and pants so much easier as I'm not constantly fiddling with the garment to move it just a little bit more. Big time saver here! I would definitely purchase another one of these! I ordered this on a Saturday and it arrived the following Saturday via FedEx home delivery. Awesome!

I am a spoiled European when it comes to ironing boards. When I had to face the wobbly, flat-bar-on-the-bottom ironing boards in the U.S. I was shocked to say the least. I had no idea it was even allowed to label something as a "sturdy" ironing board when it is flimsy at best. Enter this ironing board, and I am a pleased seamstress! It is big, it is sturdy, and it comes with nice accessories, such as the iron holder, the hanger bar, and a sleeve board. What more can you ask for something retailing often at under $60? Yes, it is big, yes, it is relatively heavy, and yes, you probably need more space to store it than those flimsy ones. But let's be real, and ironing board must be stable. Nothing is more annoying and unsafe than the board wobbling all over the place. I have small kids and they will be hard pressed to knock this thing over by accident. As far as the packaging goes-mine survived military postal service from the U.S. to Japan. It was torn open on one end, but the board was fine and other than a scratch on one of the plastic leg-ends, everything was fine. If it survived MPS, it can't be packaged all THAT badly. Plus, amazon usually replaces items damaged during transport without any problems and in a very timely manner. This one is definitely a keeper!

Just got my ironing board. I seen this ironing board years ago at Costco for about $70 & regretted not buying it. Have been looking for it off & on when I found it on Amazon for a great Price. It is super heavy duty. I love that it is tall & so wide. Will make ironing so much easier for me. My spine is fused all the way down & I can't bend at the waist or shoulders & this is going to be great. It can be adjusted low so you can sit & iron if you wish. I seen the reviews that said the plastic had cracked or the board was damaged during the shipping. Mine arrived perfectly, no damage to the board or the box. I removed part of the cloth cover & did not any plastic anywhere just metal/stainless steel. It appears to be made quite well. Maybe they changed the design & materials??? I can't wait to use it. It seems like it is going to be just perfect & last for many many years & will probably outlive me :) I am very pleased to finally have this ironing board :)

This is a wonderful ironing board. The extra wide surface makes ironing go much quicker. This a wide so if you tend to slide smaller garments over/around the narrow end, the fabric could stretch. The small sleeve attachment is a intended specifically for this very purpose. A great board for someone who a seasoned seamstress or someone like me who enjoys sewing. There's plenty of room to press those pesky seams comfortably. I first saw this ironing board at a high priced retailer for nearly $100 and debated about paying so much for an ironing board. Thank goodness I waited and searched Amazon.com. I got it for less than 1/2 the price. Also, a word of praise for Amazon's customer service. While completing my order I was unable to select the free shipping option which my purchase was eligible for. Once I completed the order and reviewed the invoice and saw that I was charged approx. $18 for shipping, I emailed amazon and within 24 hours I received an email appologizing for the system error and the shipping was credited to account. Way to go Amazon. I am a dedicated customer as long as you keep up the AWESOME customer service. Now, I really should get my ironing done :) Happy Ironing everyone!

I have never owned an ironing board before now; in my 'previous' life, I always sent everything to the dry cleaner for cleaning and/or pressing. However, circumstances changed, I moved south and couldn't afford to do that, anymore, so I started to research boards. In the end, this has more going for it than the other boards I looked at: --it's wider than conventional boards (18" instead of 15") --it has the swingarm extension for sleeves, etc. --it has a metal rest for the iron, which doesn't take away from the surface area for ironing --it's adjustable in height, so if you prefer or need to sit while ironing, this board is for you --it folds up easily to a very slim size--about 3", making it a bit easier to store The only thing I don't care for, but I won't take a star away for it, is the cover. It's muslin, and it holds waterstains. There appears to be a dearth of covers for this board, though, because of it's non-traditional size.

Its taken me a little time to get used to using a wider board than I have the past 10 years but it really has been such a help for ironing. I consider this an ironing board with "all the bells and whistles": its wider than standard, cheaper boards, it has a thick, natural cover, it has a rest for the iron and a folding rack for hanging shirts/pants/items you've ironed and hung, it has an easily hidden arm for things like sleeves (I have yet to use this feature), it has the sturdier 4 prong legs instead of the T-bar ones, and while it is a heavy and large board, the height adjusts beautifully (I'm short!) and it is in no danger of falling apart anytime soon. I'm glad I spent a little extra for this ironing board because I truly enjoy ironing and do a fair amount of it each week, and so far this board has been a joy to use. Arrived quickly and in excellent condition. I have no complaints thus far.

I love this ironing board. It's big, just as advertised. The surface is plastic, so be aware that it's not designed to be a counter, nor would I leave an iron on it, but it has the holder for an iron, so that's out. I did not buy it for the liner or the cover, so I'm not reviewing those; however, I did use the cover for a year or so, with a very generous terry cloth towel to fit under it. It was great until we washed it on hot and ended up with a cover for a portable iron. I now have one of those measurement type covers with the same very thick towel. I have always ironed on such a towel as it makes the table take the steam better and produces a great cushion for fabric. Did I say that this iron is huge? I live in an old Victorian, with an old "trunk room", which is about 8x15. I keep it in there with a few clothes and some storage stuff, essentially a very big closet. It would take over a bedroom. I should also say that the stand is perfect for a Rowenta Ironing System, which changed my life as far as ironing goes.

Got this to replace a very old and bent metal ironing board. This board is very sturdy, well built and BIG. It was actually bigger than I thought, but was not an issue as the place I store it has plenty of room. Fold out very easily and the added iron holder on the end is a very useful plus. The only con is the fold up sleeve board. This may be my lack if ironing skills but I don't find it that useful. It doesn't make the product any worse it's just something that I think takes more time to use than the conventional way of ironing sleeves. All in all its a great ironing board and by far and above the best I've ever used.

Five years later.....I still love this board. I iron a lot - my entire wardrobe is linen or cotton, and I press my husband’s shirts every week. It’s stable, it’s strong and holds my steam iron with a water tank securely. We move every two or three years for our jobs, and I grumble for weeks until the household shipment arrives while I’m using the cheap loaner board or hotel model I usually have to stabilize with one foot. I’m not particularly domestic, and I buy products to make my life easier. This is one of those products.
