We recently upgraded to these for our 8 week old. She is mostly breastfed but takes a bottle too. The bottles took very long for her to drink with the newborn nipple and she'd get frustrated. This seems to work better, perhaps because she's used to my fast letdown.

We needed these for our 5 month old who eats 8 oz of milk with oatmeal before bed. He’s the Incredible Hulk in training. It’s nuts. So we use these and paired them with the generic comotomo rings and I painted them with nail polish to recognize which nipples are the Y cut. Problem solved! I mix 1 table spoon of oatmeal per 2 oz and he has no issue chugging it down from this nipple without chocking but any less oatmeal and it comes out too fast.

We started off with medela and Philips natural bottle. The medela was fine but I found the flow is a little too fast for my baby and the bottle has a small thread so it is hard to wash. The Philips is a hit or miss... Sometimes it will flow nicely without collapsing and other times it will collapse and leak. I followed the instructions to massage the membrane but that didn't help much. Then I switch to Como tomo and found the baby seems to eat better with this nipple. I didn't have any leak since we switched and I only had the nipple collapsed once, and I know it was happening cause I could feel the bottle was collapsing too. And the best part is my baby burp a lot easier with this nipple. I don't know why but before it was very hard to burp my baby, but after we started using Comotomo my baby always burp within a min or 2, sometimes she burp on her own just by sitting her up. This to me is an unexpected benefit and one that make me decide to keep using this nipple.

I'm a first time mom and went through a ton of trial and error before finding the perfect bottle. I have easily tried over 10 different brands of bottles. Finally, I found Comotomo and haven't looked back. Comotomo bottles were instantly a hit with my daughter. One of the biggest issues I ran into with bottles was the milk flow was just too fast. Even bottles that claimed to be slow flow, would end up making my baby choke or gag, with milk running down her mouth as she tried to keep up with the flow. Tommee Tippee, Dr. Brown's, Avent..they all were too fast. Others had awful nipples (Munchkin Latch) that constantly collapse. Enter Comotomo. Everything about Comotomo bottles are amazing, but to me, the best part is the nipple. It's what really sets this bottle apart from the rest. The silicone is soft and thick. Very well made. These nipples are truly wide mouth. They NEVER collapse. The dual vents are amazing for preventing gas/spit-up. And these are extremely easy to clean. These nipples also never get the permanent fog that seems to appear on a lot of other nipples. The fog that never goes away no matter how well you clean them. My baby has a very strong sucking reflex. So, we used the 0-3 month nipple, which has one hole until she was about 6 months old. Then we switched to the 3-6 month nipple, which has two holes. She is now 9 months old and we still use the 3-6 month nipples. I don't think she will need to use a nipple beyond 3-6 months, ever. She currently can finish a 6oz bottle in about 8 minutes. These replacement nipples are perfect for allowing me to still use my 5oz Comotomo bottles. For some reason I prefer the 5oz bottles over the 8oz bottles. Don't get me wrong, I love the 8oz ones, but I just prefer the look and feel the the 5oz bottles. PS..The 5oz bottles actually will hold 6.5 ounces if filled all of the way up.

I love this design for thicker fluids like cereal for my 7 month old daughter. It has a Y cut so thicker fluids come out much easier than a normal nipple however it is not so big that fluid will pour out on its own. Baby has to actually suck on the nipple for the fluid to come out which is great to avoid a mess. I tried the tommee tippee bottle for variable fluids which has a y shape actual hole rather than Y shaped cut. Tommee Tippee nipple hole is much larger and the cereal just pours out. She would make a mess every night before bed. So glad we found the comotomo Y cut nipple instead!

My daughter barely took a bottle when she was young because I was usually home to nurse her. When we did try to give her a bottle, she wouldn't take the ones my older son had used. She finally took the Comotomo bottles which are amazing, I have reviewed them separately, but let's just say 5 stars all around. Now that she is 1 year old and drinking whole milk, we needed a bottle again to feed her. She was being fussy with the baby nipples we had so I ordered these. They are the Y cut nipples and lets her drink a lot faster. She loves it and devours 6 ounces of milk first thing in the morning. Perfect for what we needed.

I wanted to add this review for other parents attempting to feed their babies plastic free. I exclusively breastfeed my daughter, and due to an over supply, have to pump several times per day. Occasionally we give her a bottle of my pumped milk to make up for a missed feed or just so I can have a break. We bought these 4 oz glass mason jars from Walmart, and because of other reviews I saw here, bought these nipples to fit the jars. They fit perfectly, do not leak, and she prefers these nipples to the one on the life factory bottles. I highly recommend these nipples, especially for breast fed babies. A note on the jars: We freeze my milk directly in these jars, with the metal lid. Then thaw and replace the lid with the como tomo nipple. I hope this is helpful for other parents who want to avoid plastic.

These are the best bottles! Baby loves the soft feel of the bottle. The wide neck makes them super easy to clean, limited parts to clean, the air vents mean she is never taking in air so she hasn't had problems with gas, before I excusively pumped she transitioned seamlessly from breast to bottle and back, the 5oz is the perfect size so far. We recently bumped up to the medium flow (4mo.old) from the slow flow.(newborn). The only con is I have spilled milk before trying to pour from a storage bag into the bottle because I accidentally touched the side of the bottle and it's egg shaped so it rolled. Always a sad moment when milk is spilled. I feel like the pros all outweigh this though.

We use these with reg mouth mason jars and they work perfectly. Less spit up than medela and no plastic. I love that we'll be able to use the same glass "bottle" for all stages with different lids.

These "fast" nipples are soft and have a good flow for my 6-month old. I found the flow of these to be slower than the LifeFactory size 3, just for reference. However, I do not use these nipples with Comotomo bottles. They work great with Mason jars. I use the 4oz mason jars (which hold 4 oz up to the rim), as my baby only drinks around 3 oz at a time. I've also attached a picture to compare these nipples with those from "Mason Bottle", also sold on Amazon - these come with a silicone sleeve and a cap. My baby prefers the Comotomo nipples as they are softer and longer than the Mason bottles one. Also, cause less spit up and don't leak. They don't look as nice as the Mason Bottle nipples, but for home use, these nipples work great.
