Excellent briefcase for the price!

I'm surprised at the number of negative reviews I see for this briefcase. At $59 it's nicer and better quality than the $179 briefcase I had for years that finally wore out. I've been using this for a couple months now and everything about it seems way higher quality than what I expected for a sub-$100 case. The hardware is sturdy, the outside is well-seamed and soft, and it's a very nice looking case. Nothing about it feels cheap at all to me, and it looks like it would be a $200 briefcase easily. Really nice and very happy with this purchase!

classy doesnt mean cashy!

I bought this for a gift for a friend who just became the dean at a very prestigious college....He absolutely loved it! very classy but the price wasn't cashy. I got the best of both worlds.

Same Great Quality

This is the third one my husband has had. He has worn out the other two. He used it for his construction business - I think he should go to one of those carbon fiber ones the those are way to expensive! Samsonite makes a great quality product for the price and this has all the pocket and such that are very useful for him. I probably have to buy another one in a couple of years and I buy the same one for him.

A great briefcase, I've owned two and enjoyed both

A great briefcase, I've owned two and enjoyed both. Well. the first I enjoyed for years (about 8 0r 10), the second from amazon market didn't last too long so i cant comment on its durability. Be careful, its sharp looking, and not gaudy because the buckles are dark metal making it classy not gaudy like gold buckles. So it wasn't long before my newest one grew legs with my laptop in it. Bummer. Also, mine both appeared to be genuine Samsung, in case some may have that concern.

Beautiful case!

We bought this briefcase for our son who really needed a new one desperately. His old one was falling apart. When it was delivered, I was so very pleased with how beautiful the briefcase is! It looks so nice and professional. It has all the organization tools that he needed as well. Now when he uses it, it just makes me smile because it looks so nice and well organized.

Looks great, not tacky, can't beat it for the price!

I have only been using the attache for about a month now, but I love it. I'm a Detective and I use it every day. I get compliments about the case often. I would agree with other reviews that the leather might be a little cheap. I say that because the leather is very easily scratched, as I figured out on the first day. However, if you take care of it, and don't just throw it around, it looks like it will last. I used a conditioner/protector on mine the day I got it, after I slightly scratched it, which I would suggest doing because it will prolong the life of the case and prevent it from cracking and scratching as easily. You can't beat it for the price! I think it looks much more elegant than the other brief cases in the same price range. I didn't want tacky gold or bronze hardware so this case was perfect. I'm even thinking about buying a second one.

Holds up really well

I bought one of these in December 2012 and have been using it every day to carry my stuff from home to work. I usually stuff it with papers, a few books, pens and erasers and such. It has held up very well considering I am extremely rough with it. One latch broke about six months ago and I brought it to a Samsonite dealer who replaced it for free, as it was sill under the three year warranty. The leather on the handle is just now starting to fray a bit, and the leather on the bottom corners are starting to show some wear, but for $65, and considering how rough I am with it, I have to say I think it is very well made. I've let my kids know they can buy me another one for my birthday next January, by which time I can probably use a new one.

My husband loves it. He has used Samsonite hard cases for years. Very happy with this Samsonite product.

I have been very pleased with this purchase

It allows enough room to securely carry my laptop and power supply as well as documents, forms and other needed materials. It is expandable for more space if needed. The business card pockets as well as the pen pockets are a little tight but manageable. I have been very pleased with this purchase.
