I have dark brown hair and this product definitely made me hairy lighter after only a few uses. I would spray it in my hair and then go out and sun bathe my hair which seemed to help. My friends and family asked if my hair got lighter just from the sun or if I put dye in it.. I told them about this product and they were shocked it work so well. I will buy this again next summer for sure!

First of all ... I have a lot of History with my hair I usually go from dark brown to blonde every other year and I love it! This time as I was going to the hairdresser going lighter and lighter one of the girls I went to the second time, damaged my hair and over toned it with all likes of colors that made it very muddy and ugly so I decided to finish doing it myself! I redid my own balayage but I didn't want to leave the bleach in too long and I wasn't satisfied with the end result do I decided to buy this! I've purchased this before in the past and it's never made my hair fall off lol! Anyways I've just finished my first bottle and I'm starting on my second! I really love this spray!!! Keep in mind this product does not tone the hair so for those yellow and orangy colors it pulls out you'll need a toner after your done using the spray, I need to still tone mine but I'm waiting till I'm finished with the spray. It does damage the hair due to the peroxide but just make sure you use a great conditioning mask once a week, a heat protectant and a conditioning leave in cream like i.e.: its a 10 and you'll be fine! Obviously If your hair is very damaged use it sparingly or don't use it at all. Happy lightening!!! UPDATE: (3rd pic) just finished my second bottle hair doesn't seem any more damaging than the first time but I def don't want to damage it anymore and most of all I'm satisfied with the blonde color :)

I'm a man...and this is great stuff!

Thought i would write this because there doesn't seem to be many guy reviews on here. I have pretty short light brown hair and get it cut every two weeks. Tried the shampoo and conditioner, and it seemed to be working but slowly. But tried this and BAM it worked really quickly. Awesome stuff. Hair very noticeably lightened up. After showering, I just sprayed some onto my hands with a little gel and styled my hair. I think i used it too many days though and my hair started to look a bit shiny and reddish. Stopped using and that faded away. Because I get my hair cut so often i think i can pretty much use this stuff indefinitely. Good for guys like me who are too shy or lazy to actually get a coloring, and/or don't want a sudden or dramatic color change. Cheaper too i hear. I am not sure as i have never paid a salon to color my hair. :)

Good if you use it correctly

I have been using this product for years. I use it to brighten my naturally medium blonde hair and add dimension. My hair is thin and naturally fragile. So I am careful not to overdo the lightening and brightening. I also do deep conditioning treatments. My hair is in great shape even after years of using this product. Also, I don't use a lot of styling tools on a regular basis so that helps keep my hair healthy. This product is great if used in moderation, not used with the highest heat settings and/or used for the appropriate reasons. If you are trying to keep your naturally dark hair a light blonde, this is not the product for you. This product is specifically made for those who already have lighter hair but want a boost or a few highlights. Use medium or low heat. Use once a month, maximum. Deep condition weekly. Don't use if you are a regular heat-styler. Use at your own risk if your hair is darker than a dark blonde, NATURALLY.

Completely replaced my colorist!

I have fine, straight, dirty blonde hair with some graying. About a year ago, I decided to stop coloring my hair because it was expensive and annoying. After six months I was dissatisfied with how dull and gray my hair looked, but I didn’t really want to get back to the coloring routine. I tried the combination of the John Frieda shampoo-in lightener to start, and this spray to maintain. I got two uses out of the shampoo treatment, and it did a great job of bringing up the overall brightness of my hair. Then I started using this spray. Every other day or so, after showering but before drying my hair, I pick a few spots and spray my roots. Sometimes I pick a section and spray all the way to the ends, and sometimes I just get the roots wet. Then as I blow dry, I focus the heat on the areas I chose. This approach has been FANTASTIC! I had my hair cut by a new stylist recently and she told me my color was gorgeous. I can’t even see my gray anymore because it’s all blended in with my beautiful highlights. If I notice a section looking dull, like the back of my head or my temples, I simply spray the same spot after my shower for two showers in a row and it’s as golden and shiny as the rest of my hair. It blends beautifully, doesn’t damage my hair a bit, and I’ve gone through one bottle in 6 months. Take that, colorist! Highly recommend.

NO more Salon color???

OMG, i NEVER write reviews, but this product has given me SO much JOY!!! I have been coloring my hair for 30yrs, and I always hate sitting in the salon, the chemicals, and the BILL! I needed to get my hair done (full foil highlights) and my 2 regular hairdressers were not free, so I went on line to do some research. Every reviewer loved this product so I decided to try it. 4 morning spritz's and my hair looked like I just got out of the salon! I use a couple sprays every couple weeks, and I haven't been back to the salon for months! This is a seriously cool product! You don't need too much, but if you get any brassiness, you can use the John Frieda purple shampoo. And no... I don't work for JF! This is defiantly worth trying, its FAB!

Shampoo and conditioner no spray.

I used the shampoo and the conditioner for 10 washes. I did use a toning violet shampoo every 2 times because as others have said it will bring out a brassy tones. My hair is highlighted and the high lights didn't change much but you can see a good amount of change on my base color. I took the pictures on the same lighting with the same camera settings you can see they are not perfect but I do believe they show the change as accurately as I could photograph. I left the shampoo on for between one and 5 minutes before rinsing each time. I had no skin irritation and the smell is nice. My hair is soft and not fried. Very happy would recommend.

Awesome stuff

This is the best stuff for my hair. It has saved me so much money in between colorings Abd prolonging my color. My hair grows very fast and not being a natural blonde causes issues. The only thing I did not like about this product was it dried out my hair. You really have to condition your hair well before using. You also have to make sure you put heat on where you sprayed. I usually will spray my roots wait a few minutes then hit it directly with the blow dryer.

Brought back my youthful blonde hair color!!!

I am natural blonde but with age and less time in the sun, my hair was getting a muddy blonde. This helped a lot. Only 5 uses. It did make my hair brassy yellow which I removed with one use of Loreal Everpure. I'm so happy. No professional salon price for my lightened blonde.
