Only thing that I would improve upon is possibly a longer strap for large wristed men. Other than that it is a very well made and quality piece of equiptment. This being for working inside of a computer or laptop and preventing static discharge damage by being able to ground the wearer to the device.

Where to start? This thing is a portable means by which,, with an appropriately sized screw, I can ground myself by attaching to the ground lug on a standard wall socket and avoid frying sensitive electronics. The only thing that might be an improvement would be a wrap-around Velcro closure rather than a buckle type closure.

If you have ever "fried" and sound or video card while upgrading, you will appreciate this simple device. I am the type of person who can 'light a room up' with static, in winter I dare not touch any metal while shopping, especially can foods. I'm probably not gong to wear this at the store, but only when working in my computer.

Not a lot I can say, it's a wrist strap with a wire attached to an alligator clip. I bought this for working on the innards of a computer. It was a "just in case" situation. I attached the wrist strap, attached the clip to metal, and the procedure went without mishap. Therefore, am satisfied.

The extra protection for ESD is to ground the body by wearing a strap and then connect the other end to the metal case of the computer. Always wear the strap when working inside a computer.

Good product. Excellent reach distance and the clip is super strong so you don't have to worry about it coming loose and whacking you in the head. Wrist band is adjustable via velcro and I imagine will fit almost any size wrist. maybe not sumo wrestlers though. But then again, I don't know too many sumo wrestlers that build their own pc's. That would be a nice combo skill.

Well, maybe not really "save" it, but works great on a treadmill and the wife and I are happy! We were constantly getting nasty zapping when touching the treadmill and our ipad we use to watch Netflix as we work-out after even minor walking. To a point of not wanting to use the $1400 investment because it just plain hurt to get zapped all the time, even in summer when there is more moisture in the air. Wall socket was checked and found to have the ground intact. We don't have a rubber mat underneath it, just bare carpet that probably doesn't help things, but I read about these wristbands and decided to try it first. Wow, problem solved! The cord is long enough and the alligator clip fastens right to the treadmill chassis. Perfect! Bought another one for back-up since its quite worth it.

Long cord wound down to a manageable size. I've used it about a dozen times and stays well out of the way. For anyone who is new to building, the way i have found (not the only way) to do it is to plus in the PSU to the wall and leave it turned off via the switch on the back. Then affix the clip to the grill of the PSU and you are grounded to your building's ground. Works the same if the PSU is mounted in the case and you find a good spot to attach the clip to the pc case.

I bought this device when I was planning to replace the hard drive in my laptop with a solid state drive. In my laptop, that required removing several components, some sensitive to static discharge. The wrist strap is easy to put on, the grounding cord light and long enough to be useful, the alligator clip is strong. I'm very happy with this item.

Its hard to review something like this since ESD problems on your devices takes some time [up to several years] to show damage. But I always believe in the saying "Better safe than sorry" so I had to buy this. Aside from that the product is of high quality and its very long [6 feet] so its easy to work with and fits most if not all wrist sizes. My only gripe with it is I wish the wrist band could fit your ankle I have an average sized ankle about 9 inches so its a bit annoying wearing it on my hand but its not a big deal.
