I love this bike seat. Just be sure to order the easy fit rack attachment that goes with this seat. It is very easy to take the seat on and off the easy fit rack so that you can store the seat when it is not in use. The seat slips into the rack and with a few turns of a nob locks into place. And there is a key to lock the seat on the bike to prevent theft.

Good design & well built
After researching several child bike seats I decided on this product. It's well built, comfortable for my 2-year old and designed well. I was specifically looking for a seat that could be mounted on my Specialized Sirrus without problems. It's an aluminum framed bike and since they have thinner tube structures, I had to install this "Easy Fit" version on a heavy duty rack (Bontrager, Deluxe) with the Yepp Easyfit Carrier on top before mounting the seat itself (If you have a bike with a steel frame, you can use the Yepp Maxi version which can be mounted directly on the seat post without the need for a rack assembly). Once the mounting assembly was completed, attaching the seat itself was relatively easy. The seat can also be removed so you can use the rack for other purposes. The seat is made of semi-soft, molded foam wrapped around perimeter steel frame. This makes the seat feel sturdy while also giving your child a gentle ride over those road bumps. In our case, we've gone over street repairs and potholes without a big fuss. I find this type of seat much better than products that have hard plastic seats with foam cushions. The seat material can be easily cleaned and the back has a nice clean appearance with a built in reflector. By the way, if you don't have a kickstand, you need one. It's impossible to get your child in and out of a seat without one. Also, a good rear view mirror mounted on your handle let's you keep an eye on junior while riding. A flashing tail light is also a good safety addition if you ride in an urban environment which we do. The only criticism I have is that a buckle locking the shoulder straps together at chest height would be a nice addition. My son likes to turn around and look at things while we ride and the straps have a tendency to fall of his shoulders even when they're snug. Another minor alteration that could be useful would be a higher side design to the seat body. This would give the child somewhere to rest his/her hands although this is not such a big deal, just a convenience. All in all, even though the seat and all the necessary mounting equipment needed is more expensive than the typical child seat, I believe this is the best child seat on the market in terms of function and aesthetics. This was a very satisfying purchase.

For use on cargo bike - A+
This has got to be the best on the market! I bought it to use on a cargo bike that has spacings built into the rack specifically for seats like this. (I forget what the spacing is, but the rack has to be something like 4" wide, and have a hole between bracing struts of 6-8". I'm guessing on the numbers; the Yepp website probably lists it. It was in the manual. Point it regular racks don't have the right spacing, they tend to only be on cargo bikes that have long, heavy duty racks.) I have a Felt BruHaul, but I know Yuba has bikes that fit it too. I think Xtracycle also? Check with your manufacturer.... But anyway, it fits my 2-year old perfectly, with plenty of room for him to grow. Realistically I only need another year before he can probably sit without being in a seat, but it is rated for 50 lbs. I think. It also attaches really quickly and easily. I has a key so it locks on to the bike, so you don't need to worry about it when bike is parked. It is relatively light, which is good since most cargo bikes are heavy enough already :)

Great purchase!!
We’ve had the product one day and I already love it! Very easy to install. Feels extremely sturdy and safe. It isn’t as heavy as I was expecting so I felt comfortable riding my bike with my 25lb toddler on the back. We bought the adapter for our bike’s already existing rack on the back. We have Momentum bikes and it worked perfectly! Many other seats would not work with our bike because of the existing rack. I am SOO pleased and I really feel like it is worth the price.

Sturdy seat for Electra Cruiser
This works perfectly for my Electra Cruiser 1 bike. I used the Thule Yepp Maxi Easyfit Adapter, Black which fit quite easily on the Electra rack, and now hope to have fun outings with my 3 year old! Finding a child seat to fit my cruiser was difficult. I tried the the Thule Ridealong, but the bottom of the seat sat on the rear wheel of the bike! Amazon was, as always, amazing with the return, and I now have a child seat that fits perfectly.

Great and safe chair
I love this rear bike chair. Its very sturdy and comftrible with 5 point sefty clip. It's expensive but worth every penny. Make sure it fits your rear rack. I have an electrick bike MiniRad and at first i though that it doesnt fit. The forks are much wider then traditional bike but you have to pushe it down hard and it will snap in. I Highly recomand this product.

This seat does NOT come with rear rack!!
This seat is awesome!! Excellent quality, my son LOVES IT. But please note!!!!!!! This seat does NOT come with the cargo rack that you need to attach it to your bike!! We had to take our bike and this seat to our local bike shop just to figure out what piece we were missing. I didn't know if I needed a cargo rack back there or an easyfit rack. Luckily bike shops are familiar with this brand of seat and they knew right away what we needed. Turns out this seat works with a rear cargo rack, NOT a Yepp easyfit rack! I would not have known I was so lost. Once we had all the parts the seat was easy to install and works wonderfully!

Fit my Felt Bruhaul without the adapter. If your bike has 1/4" tube framing with a square 2.5" x 5" mounting point it will work.

Daily rider here. LOVE this seat!
I live in Seattle, where tons of families bike with their kids, and this is THE seat to have. You see them all over town. So when I found a great deal on one through Amazon Warehouse, I snapped it up, even though I didn't yet have a bike to put it on :) I've since added an Xtracycle Free Radical to the back of my hybrid bike, and installed the seat on that. I specifically got a Flightdeck 2 for my Free Radical, as it has built-in Easyfit windows: This saved me from to paying another $30 for the Easyfit adapter, and the seat sits a few inches lower (directly on the deck vs. up on the adapter), which is slightly more stable. It did take me a minute to figure out that I had to actually cut out the Easyfit window from the Flightdeck 2. It has indentations on the bottom showing where to cut, so this was pretty simple. Once that was done, securely installing the Yepp Maxi Easyfit was a breeze. The included lock is a nice feature, so I can just lock up my bike when I'm out and about, and not have to worry about someone walking off with the seat. I ride with my almost 3 year old daily, for school drop-offs. She weighs around 35 lbs. She fits comfortably and snugly in the seat, with plenty of room to grow. She LOVES it and begs to go biking. I found that the shoulder straps tended to slide off her shoulders, but moving the harness up to the highest setting and tying together the strap ends to make a sort of "chest belt" has completely solved that problem. Having her weight back there did take some getting used to, as it makes the bike slightly less stable, especially when turning sharply, but we haven't had any mishaps yet. My friends who have dumped their bikes with their kids onboard (hey, it happens!) say that the seat does an amazing job of "cocooning" the occupant and preventing injury. I originally used panniers (Ortlieb Backrollers) on my Free Radical's p-racks, and those fit fine in front of the seat, one on each side. Now I have Xtracycle X1 Freeloader bags, and those work, too. On a regular rack, you probably won't be able to fit panniers/bags when the seat is installed. Also, Xtracycle's X2 bags don't work well with this seat. The material is soft and rubbery, very comfortable for the child, but also great in rainy Seattle weather as it repels water better than fabric does. We also have a Bobike Mini front seat, and a Burley trailer. The front seat is my absolute favorite for a smaller child, as it's fun being able to point things out and have conversations, and it has virtually no effect on the handling of the bike. Unfortunately, my 3 year old outgrew it a few months ago, so now it's either the Yepp Maxi or the trailer. I generally prefer the Yepp Maxi; it does affect bike handling some, and it's not quite as good for conversing as the front seat, but it's pretty good. The trailer is my choice on very cold or rainy days, because I can tuck in my daughter with a blanket and know she'll be protected from the elements. If I had to choose only one of those three options for transporting a kid via bike, it would probably be the Yepp Maxi. It lasts longer than a front seat and is more fun than a trailer on all but the coldest/wettest of days. (And on those coldest/wettest of days, a toddler-size JJ Cole Bundle Me fits really well in this seat!) As long as you have a compatible bike/rack, I highly recommend this seat! (If you don't have a compatible bike/rack, check out the Yepp Maxi non-Easyfit version.)

Love at first ride
Both my 2yr old and I love this seat. We had the Yepp Mini and loved that too but he grew beyond the weight limit so we graduated to the Maxi. It's easy to install - my bike already had a rack so I didn't need the adapter. I like the soft foam-like seat that helps absorb bumps. The 5-point seatbelt latch requires unlatching in two points, again a bonus as my son like to push "buttons" and this ensures he doesn't accidentally release the safety belt himself. I would recommend this seat to any parent looking to ride with their children.
