I am so very happy with my choice
Saved me over a thousand dollars from an electrician and a building permit !...NOT suggesting....But in my case, I am so very happy with my choice. Don’t be cheap. You get what you pay for. And this is affordable for just that. Yep. I recommend to friends and would not hesitate to buy again, myself....FWIW. Add the 2 foot, “Y” splitter for multiple plug-ins. (Ex: Equipment, fan and cell phone charger all at my working station.)

Works Great in Cold Weather
Purchased this for use with an electric snow blower. Extension cord holds up very well in cold weather. Remains flexible and adaptable.

Best way to load this this chord is onto a water hose reel. Really.
This extension cord isn't just long. It's also big, heavy, well built - and as a result, hard to load onto a conventional power cord storage reel. Took 30-40 minutes for me to load it that way. So gave it a shot at loading it into my water hose reel. That takes all of 30 seconds to load this chord. And even less to unload. Especially when beginning in the middle of the power chord and loading both halves at the same time.

Good investment
I was pleased with this cable. I bought it to power an electric snow thrower, weed whacker/trimmer, and leaf blower. It's a solid, heavy weight cord with sufficient length to reach most of my property. It's nice and flexible - something I cannot say about less expensive/lower quality extension cords I've purchased. I find I really like, too, the fact that there is a tiny light at the distal end that lets you know it's plugged into a power source. If something stops along the way, I don't have to go all the way back to the electrical source to know if the extension has slipped out of the socket. The insulation, and the plug/socket at each end are solid and feel like high quality. I liked the fact that it was "made in America," too. I hope that still translates into higher quality. The color stands out so you can see where the line is, and it seems to remain nice and flexible to allow you to move around easily with your power equipment. I'm happy I chose this cable.

If you need it, buy it.
Too many people try to run power tools on 14/16 gauge wires and pay the price. Don't ruin your tools with high resistance lower voltage lines. If you need high amps, you need a thick cord. This is thick. Robust. America. Have been running this and a threeway to power a compressor, miter box, and other miscellaneous power tools for a few months now. Has handled everything I've thrown at it with grace and without putting off heat. Exceptional value, rolls up well, well made. Hope it outlives me.

This exstension cord is a beast...great value
This is a great contractor grade (12/3) exstension cord made in the U.S.A and is red, white and blue... I thought that both ends lit up but only the female end lights up not a big deal and is well worth what I paid for it...would definitely buy again UPDATE: This cord is a beast used it during a power outage with atleast 30 Amps being put on this cord and it never got hot or even warm...this cord is probably 25% thicker than my other industrial cords...5 stars all day

The BEST extension cord I've ever purchased!
Looking for a HEAVY gauge extension cord? Look no further. This is it. Its 10 gauge stranded wire, not much larger than a conventional (cheap) extension cord that is 20% wire and 80 %jackets and filler to make them look substantial. This is at least 60 percent wire and 40 percent jackets and insulation and the voltage only dropped 2 volts at 20 amps! The POS wire it replaced used to drop 18 volts @ 20 amps, causing all sorts of problems. This extension cord solved them all.

Heavy duty, supple, cord with lighted ends, Well made, in the USA. A Winner!
Heavy duty, supple jacket, lighted ends, well made..in the USA. A Winner! I bought the 100 foot version of this cord about five months ago but never used it till tonight (4/24/2018). Attached my 15 amp electric rototiller to this and it works great. No cord heat up, no significant motor heatup, no overload / breaker trip. Easy to move out of the way. No kinking. I love the lighted ends, these will save me a lot of time over the years confirming status. I will expect lighted ends (going forward) on extension cords. Cord is rated: Outdoor, "Heavy Duty", SJTW, 15Amp, 125 Volts AC, 1875 watts maximum load. UPC 029892051570 Part #59733301 I can recommend this. I would consider buying another one. I paid $56.34 for this extension cord in Nov 2017, it's price is currently about 7 dollars more. Like many items online, you can sometimes catch a better deal if you wait for it. SIDE NOTE: While my invoice from Amazon mentions "Coleman" (brand) the packaging I received shows a branding of "Southwire". I looked it up and, back in Dec 2013, Southwire bought the Coleman cable brand. Package says "Made In USA".

Great quality cable, but heavy.
Great quality extension cable; clearly it shows durability for many years of light to moderate use (for me) considering it is contractor grade. The lit plugs are a bonus; they light up when the cable is plugged in. I used the cable for the first time with my electric trimmer and blower; I felt a noticeable boost and sustained electrical power on both tools compared to my older, budget-type "orange" extension cord that was beginning to get hot to the touch after a few minutes' use. I am a DIY homeowner and don't own industrial-level electrical tools that require heavy amps. However, I do have one of each of professional reciprocal and circular saws and other electrical garden tools that vary in amps. I checked all the labels for amp outputs and found that both saws had the highest, at 12 amps. Thus, it made sense to ensure that this cable would be able to hold the tools' amps to prevent problems such as overheating and overload. FYI: before you buy this or any cable, check the amps of all your power tools, taking note of tool(s) with the highest amps. Consider buying an extension cord at a higher gauge (12 or 10) and amp range. I'm no expert in this but I figured that if my saws were rated at 12 amps that it made sense to go one level higher on the cable, this one, which is rated for up to 15 amps. I bought the 100-ft cable so it is heavy when it is rolled, that's a side note if weight matters. Overall, I am pleased with the extension cord.

a fine example of American manufacturing
This is a First-Class piece of wiring, First-Class, a fine example of American manufacturing...does everything an extension cord can reasonably be expected to do. At 12/3, it's got the capacity to carry all the current a heavy--say 15 Amp--tool might need 100 feet and 'keep its cool'. As a general rule, whatever you're doing, if your cord is heating up, then you're overloading it. You should decrease the distance or go to a heavier Gage wire. I also like the Red, White, and Blue, American color scheme.
