Terrific little sprayer...
Solo 418-2L 2-Liter One-Hand Pressure Sprayer Pros: - container is tough, thick, hard, nylon-type material. Rap it with your knuckles and it goes "thock". Opening is about 1.5" in diameter for easy filling. - nozzle end easily adjusts up or down. E.g., to spray vertically, point the nozzle up rather than pointing the unit up. - at the nozzle's mist setting, liquid goes about 4' and disperses to a foot in diameter at 3' from the nozzle. The mist is so fine, it almost disappears. - nozzle can be adjusted from that mist setting to a 1/16" diameter stream which can be shot up to 30'. - with the container ½ full (one liter), once air pressure is attained, most of that liter can be sprayed before needing to pump again. It sprays for quite a long time before needing to pump again. - comes with a translucent, and removable, "cup" that attaches to the nozzle assembly; this catches excess liquid when spraying vertically and offers drift protection. - ergonomics are excellent. It has a comfortable main handle, pump handle, nozzle adjustment, trigger, etc. - chemically resistant construction allows use of cleaners, fertilizers, pesticides, weed control, bleaching agents, etc. This was important to me since parts of our previous sprayer of this size dissolved with bleach cleaners. - very lightweight; most of the weight when using, is the liquid you put in the tank. Cons: - with a ½ full tank, about 50 [quick] strokes on the pump handle will attain good pressure. That takes about 20-25 seconds of pumping. With 2 liters, it takes about 30 strokes. - container rocked slightly on it's 4 molded-in feet. Application of a thin stick-on felt pad on the shortest foot fixed that. Other: - This model has a short (3.5") wand. The 419-2L has a 9.5" wand and the 420-2L has a 23" wand, but otherwise are identical to the 418-2L. - As with most sprayers, it can't be used with acid, caustic liquids, potentially injurious chemicals, or flammable liquids such as gasoline. Summary: This is a well engineered hand sprayer at a reasonable cost. Significantly better than the comparably sized units we previously bought at Home Depot and Lowes...

perfect sprayer for the family garden
I have used this sprayer for two years now and really love it. I generally use it for Bt or insecticidal soaps in our vegetable garden or small fruit trees and shrubs. The pump is quite good and I can spray for quite a while with just a few pumps. I like the continuous mode when working in the garden. It really makes the job go quickly and I can just concentrate on getting the spray where I want it and not missing anything. This is a very nice volume. I can put enough spray in a bottle for several days and just pump and go when I see those green caterpillars on my gooseberries and it is essential for spraying kale or mustard greens, broccoli and cabbage.

Awesome Sprayer!
I just had to write to say how much I love this sprayer! It is easy to set up, light to carry and it almost made spraying my weeds fun! If you can believe that! I was frustrated a week or so ago because I had bought a container of RoundUp that had some newfangled battery-operated sprayer mechanism (which I didn't realize when I bought it). (And, yes, I have tried the vinegar/dawn/epsom salt combo to help the environment but it just doesn't work on my weeds). Well, I had such a hard time trying to get the RoundUp sprayer to work that I gave up. Now, with this new sprayer from Solo, I simply unscrewed the cap of the RoundUp bottle and poured it in. The opening is wide enough on the Solo sprayer that I didn't make too much of a mess and within a minute I was happily spraying. A few years ago I had bought another sprayer and last year it stopped working. I had to have my husband help me fix it - I just get so aggravated when things don't work right or easily. So, that is why I am writing - to let you know this Solo sprayer is wonderful and easy to use. Also, my arms don't hurt from lugging it around and my fingers don't hurt from pulling the trigger! Highly recommend!

High Quality
Very nice sprayer. Pump is well-greased from the factory, most others I have bought come dry. Nozzle adjusts easily, trigger lock is nice, and everything feels very sturdy. This is a great size for auto detailing, I fill it with Optimum No-Rinse Wash and Wax to presoak the car before a waterless wash. Nice to use one hand instead of a bottle in one hand, spray wand in the other. Can be pumped up to a pretty high pressure and will continue to spray for a long time after initial pump.

Great under pressure
I recently started an indoor herb garden with my dad and we bought 2, one for each of our houses. So far I am very happy with this purchase. I am at the seedling stage right now, and this waterer has a mist fine enough to not knock over the baby seedlings but still allow watering from the top. I like that once they start growing in to full size plants I will still be able to water them all at one time because the reservoir is so large on this mister. The pump is not hard to use at all and the mist comes out for a fairly long time compared to how long you pump it for. You can tell when the pressure in the reservoir is going low because the mist stream will start to decrease. When that happens I just pump the sprayer a few more times and then continue with my watering. I would definitely recommend this sprayer for any type of plant watering, indoor or outdoors. I especially like it for indoor use because you can easily control where the water is going so you don't end up with water all over the walls of the floors.

Very Well Made Product
Everything that is a part of this product is fairly heavy duty; it's not going to fall apart 30 days out; trust me. For example, the white plastic body is very heavy duty plastic. I bought the 2 Liter one (it's only a couple dollars more than the 1 liter and you can double the water you put in it; plus, my added ingredient (Miracle Grow) is set up to add to a half gallon, so this makes it easier for me). The pump seems fairly heavy duty, and you need to pump it 30-35 times to get the pressure up; it's not a hard pump; that is, it doesn't take a lot of force to push the lever down. You can angle the end spout up and down as you choose, and the little while plastic piece on the end comes off (unscrews or turns off) so you can adjust the nuzzle spray. My only criticism of the unit is the sprayer doesn't really make a fine mist; it is still a little watery (and I adjusted it as far as it would go), and it would be nice to have a slightly finer mist spray. However, the problem is not so acute as to downgrade the unit to a four star. Oh, one other minor annoyance is the little red plastic piece next to where you hold the unit (and the lever you depress to spray). (You can see it right behind the pump lever.) It's supposed to be a convenience feature in that you push it in and the unit will continue to dispense mist until you release it. For me it often gets accidentally pushed to the on position unintentionally, and then I have to stop and release it (otherwise it will just keep the unit misting). Still, this is a minor annoyance, and I am getting better about not accidentally pushing it on.

Works well, much easier than trigger-action sprayer
This is a great sprayer. I use it to apply organic foliar feed to the plants in my garden. I like that it's possible to set the nozzle at a variety of angles, but the feature that really takes the cake is the trigger lock that allows you to keep the sprayer spraying without holding the button down or pumping a trigger like other spray bottles. I have a very small garden (about 12 plants) so this sprayer works well for my needs and doesn't get too heavy to use 1 handed even when it's full.

The best hand-held sprayer, bar none
This is the Rolls-Royce of hand-held sprayers. Of primary importance to me (and a BIG problem I've had with all other hand-held sprayers) is that the top consistently forms a tight seal with the bottom. Beyond that, the pump mechanism works line a fine machine (which it is), and the nozzle provides a very even spray. Also, the ability to flex the nozzle up and down is a VAST improvement over all other hand-held sprayers. I removed the shield around the nozzle (not sure why this feature is even provided) and it significantly improved the spray performance. (I highly recommend removing the spray shield.) Yes, a bit pricey as compared to what you can get from any big-box hardware store, but I've replaced so many $8 sprayers after only 4 months of use that paying 3 times that for sprayer that actually works time and time again over a full season (and avoiding the frustration of having to go buy a new sprayer, or keeping replacements on-hand) is a small cost - after all, we're only talking about a $16 (or so) uplift, so it's not like it's going to break the bank. If you're a lawn and garden junkie, this is THE hand-held sprayer to have, bar none. In fact, buy at least 2 - one for pesticides, and one for herbicides.

Just Like Everyone Said!
Just like most of the other reviews state, this is the best one-hand sprayer I have ever used! it performs exactly as claimed and does an excellent job of mist spraying any item. I am no longer physically able to work the yard as I used to. So, this year I reverted to container growing, and in Florida, you always need to spray for something - pests; disease, nutrients, etc. I don't have an extensive number of plants, so this is ideal, and gets the job done perfectly! It offers a little bit of exercise to get the pressure built up; then maintains a steady flow until pumping is again required. The plastic funnel on the spray head offers accurate directional aim and the release button is convenient and fluid. There are clear, easy to see measurement markers on the side of the bottle; the top opening is generously wide enough to easily accept liquids, while offering quality construction, balance and weight. For limited spraying jobs, you cannot go wrong with the Solo Sprayer!

I highly recommend this excellent sprayer.
Working quite well. I work in a large 3 story school and got tired of using the standard trigger style sprayers (like a Windex sprayer) because by the end of the shift my hand was hurting a lot (arthritis, carpal tunnel, etc.) I purchased this sprayer and could not be happier, in fact my coworkers have all asked me about it and are also purchasing this model. The quality of the sprayer is excellent, the reservoir is made of thick durable plastic and the adjustable sprayer (mist control and angle) help make my job easier. I highly recommend this sprayer to anyone who's tired of using the trigger style sprayers. It's well worth the money and you will thank yourself everyday you have to use it!
