Excellent on the go camera. Used this for live streaming on twitch while on the road until I got my C920. Offline video recording is great as you can do 1080p quality, but you can only get 720p from live recording like streaming on twitch or doing a Skype call. Only doing 720p with live recording is fine though as most platforms only allow users to do 720p recording unless they are a partnered/monitized channel. The only beef I have with this cam is the really short cord. I get this is a travel cam, but the length could be a little bit longer to have slack to have. My wife currently has it for when she does Skype with friends and family and everyone who chats with her always say how they love how sharp her camera is. Definitely a great buy for the quality and price.

Worked out of the box with Windows 7, 8, 8.1. Bought 3 cameras, one for myself, one for my father, and for my sister, and all are still working 27 months later. Image quality is very good as is the built-in microphone for conversation/conferencing. Does not suffer from the common tries-to-autofocus-frequently problem when used with the windows default drivers. I've never used the included software so I can't speak on its performance. Easy to use; plug in and you can start video skyping or google hangouts, Windows does most of the work and usually selects the default device properly for you. It just works. The only caveat here is it may need a small desk tripod for thick displays, greater than about an inch deep at the top, or ones with a shallowly angled back side that may prevent the camera from sitting. It takes a standard camera mounting screw like on a digital camera. Update, 5 years later: This has been a great camera. It worked perfectly until Windows 10 update 1809. Now Microsoft is forcing the use of its mediated camera API which doesn't seem to work with this device. I won't take a star off for something Microsoft did.

In the past I made a living as a professional landscape photographer--which makes me a bit of a image quality snob. While I have had other higher end Logitech webcams in the past, they have really nailed this one. Out of the box no issues on a Win10 machine and presto... impressive auto exposure and white balance, sharp focus and resolution. Viewers of a call all commented about the clarity of picture and audio quality. The webcam's housing is well conceived..., useful i.e., can readily position as needed, feels substantial, and is easily stowable. Recommended, esp. for the reasonable cost.

This was a last minute order. Family living far wanted to chat for the holidays to open presents and my laptop cam just wasnt going to cut it. Out of the box i plugged it in, it auto downloaded the needed software and it was instantly in my skype options to pick from. I hooked it to my computer, and hooked my computer to the tv, and it sits perfectly on top of my tv for full screen viewing. The picture quaily is good and auto focus works well. The angle is pretty wide and will work great for 4+ people being in view. So very pleased with this buy especially for the price!! Thanks logitech!

I work in an office where the light is kept low and direct because we do a lot of video post and graphics production. The lower-light capabilities of the camera are great, making it look like I don't work in the cave that I do. I read a lot of complaints about the picture quality the less-expensive off-brand cameras that appeared to have better specs. My experience with Logitech products and support has always been excellent (even for a finicky Mac guy). The software apparently does some wonderful things if you're a Windows user, but for Mac people with a non-Apple display, it's just a camera.

I almost considered getting C920, but realizing that Google Hangouts only displays 720p for video chat, the C615 was enough for me. My package didn't come with an extension cable, but no problem as I'm using a USB 3.0 extension (backwards compatible to 2.0) for it. The people that have talked me have mentioned I show up very clearly. It was plug-and-play for Windows 10 with the Windows drivers. I haven't yet used any of the other features or Logitech drivers. That may come in the near future.

I needed a new webcam since updating my LED Cinema Display. After doing some research I purchased the Logitech C922x Pro Stream Webcam since many said it was the best Mac alternative. Well, it was nice, until I tried to do FaceTime calls. Everyone complained about the echo on the other side. Sadly the C922x has no fix for it. You can adjust your speakers, and mic sensitivity until the cows come home, and (maybe) get it bearable, but I could not find the sweet spot. My friend's still complained about a faint echo. Sorry, that's now how it's supposed to work. While reading the complaint forums on Logitech's site one customer in particular had the same issue found his own fix, the C615 Portable HD Webcam. I did an exchange, and within minutes, I was back in business, did my test calls, and no echos on the receiving end. The picture quality is fine for web chats, and to be frank, seems to be comparable to the newer model, C922x. The sound quality on the C615 is great! No complaints there. Auto focus and adjusts for lighting it seems, of course make sure you use this in a well lit setting. The price is nice too! About 20 or so dollars less thank it's more modern version. The set up is easy, but you will need a usb extender cable. The grip is nice and firm on my desktop monitor, anything more than an inch in monitor width or so, and you might have problems, but the grip is firm and seems very stable, even when panning left and right, tilt up and down, it stays on nicely. And if you want privacy from shifty webcam hackers, well this webcam can rotate 360º. Just turn it around 180º and the lens won't face you. Want to go lower? This nifty little webcam includes a 1/4" thread mount for mini tripods like the Manfrotto Pixi Evo. Just be careful, the rubber cap that covers the thread mount on this webcam is loose and not attached. So if you have fur babies or human ones, you might want to toss this little rubber cap in the recycle bin from the start rather than lose it and worry. Also, this is a 2011 product and if you are a Mac user like me, the Logitech software is meant for older Mac OS installs. The site says Mac OS 10.4 or older, not later. The software available will install, but the functionality extends to where you send the files you record, but if you are using a Mac, you are using quicktime to record your videos and this isn't really a concern for you. PC? Can't say. But it works, and it's been tested, and I'm a happy customer. So if you are looking for a simple fix, the C615 Portable HD Webcam by Logitech is the one for you. Oh, and it's meant for laptops too, though I can't imagine there are many laptops out there that don't already include a webcam, so I would say use this for desktop monitors with no built in webcams. Cheers folks! ~ EMJAYWLZ

Absolutely wonderful for the price! Clear video, great sound, and easy set up. I use this to record videos as well as Skype, and the quality is wonderful! The microphone is actually better than the microphone in my headset, the video quality is 1080 p, absolutely wonderful for videos. Skyping at 780 is wonderful as well. The setup is super easy--just one quick download from their website is all you need. I've never had any problem with the camera. It comes with a nice long cord extension (mine is about 5 feet from the tower). The clamp on the camera adjusts to fit about anything. I've had it on books, on top of my screen, on a pillar, and flat on the desk. The camera clamps lightly to things, but the camera is adjustable after it is clamped down. I have had no problem getting it to connect to my computer or to adjust to the angle I want it.
