Bakes a pretty pie!

This pie plate is so pretty! I wasn't quite sure just what to expect the "bayberry" color to be. I still don't know how to describe it, but it is lively grayish blue--not teal and not turquoise. Anyway it is quite attractive. I expect I'm going to have to order the baking dish in this color! It seems a bit shallow, but handled my lemon meringue pie very nicely. I did not use the scalloped edges for my crust, but left them bare for the contrast. My crust was not soggy--I used the Classic Crisco recipe for the food processor because I have developed arthritis in my fingers and hands and cutting in the Crisco is painful. Works great! I have ordered this dish in the rose color with the recipe booklet also.

Super cute pie plate

Super cute pie plate! I was pleasantly surprised by the quality given the very reasonable price. I've baked a couple pies in it already. Holds up well and no issues with scratching when I wash it.

I've now bought 4 of these. These pans are a winner and everyone will think you're a pro.. I'm not sure why different colors are different prices but the green is a gorgeous shade. These clean up fantastically well and are simple as pie (!) to use and make the perfect fluted edged crust- do sit the pan on another pan with foil as the liquid will spill over rather easily- not the fault of the plate just a tip. I can't see why I paid 1/3 more for the red one with the 'recipe' book and the pretty box. Save your cash and get the unbranded HIC version.

Excellent pie plate, hard to beat even at double the price

Now, that I have found an adjustable silicone pie crust shield, I am enjoying this pie pan. So far, we have used it to bake Meyer Lemon Pies, Classic Apple Pies; Pumpkin Pies, Louisiana Yam Pies, Louisiana Pecan Pies, and numerous championship pies. We have made well over 40 pies in each of these pie plates we ordered. We will likely make another 100 in each during this season. We have washed the pie plates by hand, and we have washed them in our dishwasher.

Perfect pies!

This is the perfect pie pan!! I was a little worried at first because let's be honest.. who wants to spend $20 on a pie pan!?! It is worth every single penny. I want 5 more hahaha. Since getting the pan I have only made apple in it but have plans for Blueberry, strawberry rhubarb and pumpkin! Can't wait for Thanksgiving :)

A nice pie pan

It is a beautiful pie pan and makes beautiful shape of pie. Quality is good and if your pie gets sticky on the bottom, just soak in the water for a couple of hours, everything will be off easily. I have no issue using it and I will recommend this pan. Besides the taste of the food, we also eat with our eyes. Making your pie beautiful definitely will make people impressed, especially during the holiday. :)

No complaints....

My pie crusts are baked evenly and the fluted edging makes things easier. No complaints from the family so that's a 5-star unto itself.

No More Pie Shame!

I never write reviews, but I just had to because this is pie plate is incredible. I love to bake and I love pie, but my pies crusts have always been ugly. Quite hideous, actually. However, with this plate, anyone can crimp the edges like a pro. I hang my head in shame no more. Previously, I only cooked pies at home and for family that wouldn't judge. I can now take pies that look nice AND taste good to potlucks and parties. The pictures posted are of my very first pie with it (apple). I still can't make pretty crusts by myself and I may never be able to. But, with this plate, I don't have to- it does it for me and its easy! I highly recommend it- well worth the price in my opinion.
