Smaller size makes these more comfortable
I've been wearing earplugs to bed for the past year or so, since our neighbors got their new, miserable dog that barks like it's being tortured early each morning. Wearing earplugs for 8 hours straight isn't terribly comfortable, so I've been trying different brands and models to find one that fits best. I finally settled on these, at least for now, because of their smaller size. While they block slightly less sound than "normal" sized earplugs, I find them considerably more comfortable. On balance, this a worthwhile compromise for me. The fit of any earplug is going to be such a personal thing, both based on the size/shape of your own ear and your personal preferences, that reviews like this probably don't count for much. If you don't have a favorite yet, though, and haven't tried a smaller size like the Mack's Dreamgirl, get a box and see what you think.

effective, comfortable
I am newly married - and married a snore-r. I have been using orange earplugs about 75% of the time (sometimes they are unnecessary if I fall asleep first and I'm tired enough to sleep through the snoring!). Each morning, my ear canals were sore from the earplugs. However, it was better to have sore ear canals & get some rest than the alternative. Sometimes, my ear canals would be so sore that in my sleep I would remove them! I was skeptical that these would be that much of a different experience because ear plugs are ear plugs, right? They are SO much more comfortable! They also block out the noise just as well as their larger, orange version. I am a grateful new wife!

Great Product! Comfort & Quiet! Yes Please!!
I sleep in earplugs and have suffered with ear pain ever morning with the other brands I've used. So grateful to have found these that are made for small, sensitive ears. I also love how many you get! I can change them out as soon as they get a bit gunky!! Whoohoo! They are not as sound proof as other brands but comfort beats out! My husband's snores can still come through but not his C-pap (when he finally puts it on!), however I hear no house noise. You've got a steady customer with these. Awesome Product!!

I will only purchase Mack's!
I wear earplugs to sleep every single night as my husband's snoring is unbearable, and after many years of experimentation, I only buy Mack's. I've tried cheaper ones and they get stiff and uncomfortable to wear and your ear can actually get sore. These are soft and feel comfortable in the ear. This specific one is marketed more towards women (I am a woman), but I really have not noticed a major difference between this and their Ultra (tan) earplugs that would make me need one over the other. The pink ones definitely are more comfortable and softer. The way you put these in is you roll them between your thumb and pointer finger and then insert into your ear and they re inflate inside your ear canal and it is easier to do that to the pink ones and they feel better in your ear than the tan ones. The tan ones block out more noise though, but I sleep next to the world's loudest snorer and the difference isn't enough for me to really worry about. For moms this could be a plus if you need to be able to hear a child crying. I like them because my husband's snoring becomes background noise, but my dog can still wake me up if she needs to go out. The pink ones show earwax alot less than the tan ones. Like I said I use them every night, and I reuse a pair for a few nights then toss them, so being able to buy 50 pairs at a time at a good price is awesome. They also come in a little plastic container with a flip top lid, which is nice to store them. One thing to keep in mind, for some reason my dog LOVES to eat these, so keep them away from dogs! They do seem to "pass through" the dogs pretty easily though. One tidbit if anyone is thinking about wearing these to sleep every night...you will need to start showering in the morning. I use to shower at night and ended up getting a TERRIBLE ear infection, so bad I couldn't hear out of one ear. The earplugs trap moisture in your ear and that becomes a breeding ground for bacteria, so shower in the morning so there is not additional water.

Fits our preteen's ears perfectly!
These fit our young son's ears perfectly! He has sensory issues and these are the only shaped earplugs that actually fit in his ears and keep the noise out. I wish they would make them in another colour like orange, blue, beige. I don't think this shape is only for women's ears. If it wasn't for these earplugs fitting and working like they are supposed to..our little one wouldn't be able to attend functions, go out to eat, go to the store with us, etc. THANK YOU MACK'S for making such a great fitting, awesome ear plug!! To make it even more perfect.. Please come out with these fitted kind...in swimmer's ear plugs! We definitely recommend these and are on our third order!

Great for small ears
These actually stay in my ear. Regular sized that or the standard size most people purchase just don't stay in place like these which are perfect for those of us with small ears. I moved into a new apartment and I couldn't sleep due to what I believe is a herd of elephants living above me and all the stomping around and noise at all hours of the night. Since using Mack's Dreamgirl Soft Foam Earplugs I have been sleeping through all their noise since I don't even hear it! I'm a happy, and well rested believer in Mack's Dreamgirl Soft Foam Earplugs! Highly recommend!!!!

Just what I wanted
I am a 6' tall 64 year old male. I wanted a foam ear plug that was very comfortable for loud environments but not extreme. For example this works great where loud music is being played or kids are screaming. I would not use in a place where there is extreme noise like a gun range or around jet aircraft. I found that they are a bit short for me. If I put them in deep I might not get them back out easy. I think they would be good for sleeping. They roll up easy to insert and are very comfortable. I have tried other foam ear plugs and wax plugs. I use each one a few times before getting a new one out of the container. I was under the impression I would get a small holder for the plugs to store in. This was not provided, but it is a small thing to me. This is the best I have found. If you are a big guy or a small girl don't hesitate to try them.

Fits Like A Dream For This Girl
I have used several different kinds of ear plugs to sleep, because I have to have an oxygen concentrator running at night and I am light sleeper. Most of them I have tried I found to be very uncomfortable. Too big or too hard and firm to sleep in. The Mack Dreamgirl are a perfect fit for me. I can sleep on my side without it being painful for me. They don't block out all sound. As a "heavy duty" ear plug for noise would. These muffle sounds so that I can sleep. That was exactly what I have been looking for, I would recommend this product for those who have small ear canals.

Works extremely well for this gal with tiny ears!
These are the absolutely best earplugs I have found for small ears. For me, even the B005YUW7A2 Mack's slim-fit ones are painful after only a few minutes. I thought I would never find comfortable earplugs. These block sound extremely well for me. I read a few reviewers that said they were comfortable but didn't block sound. For me, they do an extremely good job blocking sound. I have good hearing, but with these in cannot hear the fan in my bedroom or any of our roosters crowing outside (which frequently wakes me even with a fan and/or a noise machine running). My husband tried some on for the heck of it, and they didn't block much noise for him (he uses the regular Mack's Ultra Soft Foam Earplugs), so your milage may vary. For reference on the size of my ear canals, I used to buy the Earplanes for Kids, but I did not use them for sleeping because they stuck out past my ear and they were painful after a while. If this sounds like you, I think these will work great for you.

Imagine my surprise....
I always have great discomfort when wearing earplugs because I have very narrow ear canals. But with the noise of the city and neighbors I was in dire need of help! So, when I happened upon Mack's Dreamgirl earplugs "ultimate comfort for women with smaller ear canals", I was very skeptical. But as I sat here listening to the drummer downstairs, Aaarrrrrggggg!!!, I figured why not!? let's give it a whirl! If I didn't like them I could pass them along just like I have every other earplug I've ever bought. Imagine my surprise and absolute Delight when these hot pink earplugs arrived and not only do they actually fit but they work stupendously! I have only good things to say about these earplugs and plan to order a couple more jars of them just to be sure I always have some!
