Works great with Shiprush software under Windows 10
Works great with Shiprush software under Windows 10. I had another digital postal scale from Stamps.com. It worked fine until I upgrade to Windows 10, the Windows 10 couldn't fine it. I called the people at Dymo and they assured me this model would work. So I bought it from Amazon.com, plugged it in and, and, and, it works like a charm. I use the shipping software Shiprush and it found it and had no problems reading the weight from the scale.

Great price for a great scale. FedEx Ship Manager Compatible
I ordered the scale to use in my small business shipping department, we do 10-30 packages a day and use FedEx Ship Manager software. At first the scale would not work with there software, after updating it to the latest version it allowed USB scales but still did not work. After some research I got it working using the custom config and entering the scales vendor id and the product id found in the computers device manager. FedEx support said it would not work with the software, but after updating and then setting up the custom config I was shipping packages even faster then before.

BEST SCALE EVER!
I sell online and NEED a good scale for accuracy. I have went through SO Many digital scales and nothing ever kept the same weight if weighed twice. Hated this and nervous about sending something in fear that my customer would have to end up paying additional postage. I have an old "regular" Dymo scale that was "kind of" close. I bought this, weighed, and weighed, and weighed, and everything was perfect every-time! I also took this to the post office with a package I had ready to go with the postage, and they said is was right in spot! SO HAPPY with this one! Excellent scale!

Great Package Scale
I use this for weighing boxes at home. For years I did it the old fashioned way: Weigh my own body on a bathroom scale, then pick up the package and weigh again, and subtract body weight. This was too much trouble, and very awkward (most packages are in the 40-50 pound range.) One of the things I like is the gap between the bottom of the package and the floor, making it easy to pick up. Much better than the typical flat scale for packages. Ok, maybe it looks weird with the external rim, but now that I have used it for a couple of months, "I get it". I would definitely buy it again... but wish I would have bought it years ago!

I no longer have to borrow the kitchen scale when shipping
I haven't used this scale a whole lot, since the vast majority of my shipments are known weights or use flat rate USPS packaging. However, when I have had to use it, it works perfect, including the USB feature which is linked up to my shipping software (Shipstation) on OS X 10.8. Although I wouldn't have found it to be useful enough for my uses to warrant the full list price that Dymo Endicia sells it for, at the price available on Amazon (~$40), I think it is a great deal. Especially as it matches my DYMO shipping label printer that it sits next to.

Accurate, affordable, reliable
Bought this little guy to help me figure out shipping weights for shipping small items through Amazon- it doesn't take up much room, is accurate, was a cheap purchase, and I have yet to change the batteries once (I've had it for probably two months now and use it at least a couple of times each day). It shuts itself off automatically, doesn't have any cords... it's a great little scale and is very handy to have. Definitely a worthwhile investment if you don't ever ship over 5 lbs and don't need a big fancy metal scale.

Integrates beautifully with DYMO and Endicia postage software
This is a fairly accurate scale, especially since all shipping methods that I use agree with the weight. Beats the pants off any Stamps.com scales, a hundred dollars for a error of over 70%?? Unobtrusive looking, but for me, I wish it had a larger platform, and a large envelope stand. Getting 5 stars for accuracy, and the software is downloadable, but a little hard to find. If I had to buy another, I might take a chance with the 25 Lb model, but for most uses the 5 and 10 Lb models will be most accurate. Integrates beautifully with DYMO and Endicia postage software, and never going back to Stamps again.

the scale works fine on its on
I bought this scale with the idea of pairing it with the Dymo turbo label writer. While I haven't purchased the later yet, the scale works fine on its on. When you connect to a computer and download the free Dymo weight scale program it gives you the cost for most letters to be mailed in the US. I haven't been disappointed in the scale, but thought the Dymo program that I downloaded from the web site could be more user friendly. If you want to make sure you are sending a letter out with the correct postage and know the maximum weight for a first class letter, you really don't have to connect to the Dymo site to use their scale. However, I believe most users would prefer to connect to the free program to keep up to date with rate increases and changes in the postal rules. I could also see this being used for weighting items like food for those that want to make sure they are following a recipe or weight loss program they are on. The ability to place an object and then "0" out that weight as you add items to the object can have some great uses.

Great for lightweight items I sell on eBay
I had been using my husband's Pelouze heavy weight non-digital scale to weigh items I sell on eBay, but at under 2 lbs, the scale obviously can't be accurate into the ounces so I ended up paying significantly more to ship items first class and this adds up. So I researched scales on Amazon and considered the other digital ones for 25 lbs, 50lbs etc, but their feedback was hit and miss, and they seemed to get ratings of not working, not lasting, or being cheaply made. So I bought this one. I'm sure I'll make up my money very soon as I've already saved at least 50 cents, if not more, on many items I've sold. I think it's a good scale. I haven't tested it against the USPS scale but I've never had a package returned for weighing more than I paid.

Does All it's Advetrised to Do
We run a small business and ship packages using prepaid USPS or other shippers. Since USPS and others round up to the nearest whole number of pounds knowing whether a package weighs 1 pound 15.9 ounces or 2 pounds 0.5 ounces makes the difference between paying at the 2 pound rate or the 3 pound rate. Our old scale was not accurate enough so we always used to pay for the higher rate. Now we have already saved a few bucks by adjusting the shipping weight to be just under the next whole number of pounds so the scale is starting to pay for itself. We calibrated our weight numbers against the post office's scales and found them virtually identical. So far we have shipped a few dozen packages using this scale so we're hoping it is as reliable as it is accurate.
