Wonderful product! My new favorite place to buy slides. I would gladly own several sets. Super clean, clear, and well chosen slides. Super useful - students love them! Out of all the sets I own, this one is the highest quality! They are well labeled, and slides are mounted clearly - no strange glue globs or broken specimens -- I've received crushed specimens on the slides from other companies, but not this one. Thank you, United Scope. These are beautiful and high quality. I'm in love! Intend to buy more the minute the opportunity arises!

Excellent set, but 2 slides were missing

This is a very thorough set of biological slides. There are no textiles or materials to observe, but that is not what we bought it for. I ordered through Amazon and 2 of the slides were missing. Those two missing slides are not important for what I want to teach, so I'm letting it slide (pun intended). I also bought a microscope through Amazon and the first two arrived used/broken. They might be shipping out returned parts. Fully check your set for completeness and damage. My review is for the product itself and not Amazon's current issues, though, so totally 5 stars.

... classes and felt the more he views slides the better off he will be

I got this item as a gift for my son who is attending microbiology classes and felt the more he views slides the better off he will be. This item was packaged well, shipped on time and was very well selected for a kit. I would recommend this seller and this item for anyone who is interested is science. I am a parent who believes that no matter what your age there are still fascinating things other than cell phones and video games. Not that those items don't play a role in everyday life.

great value

I had bought my daughter this for her 9th birthday and wanted her to have a collection of prepared slides to start her in the world of microscopy. I don't have much experience with microscopes, but this prepared slide collection seemed to offer a good selection of plant and animal specimens If studying biology, these prepared slides will be helpful. They are beautifully prepared and include many samples that might be difficult to acquire otherwise...particularly in a convenient set. I highly recommend it! It's a great way to get started. Then, buy a slide making kit and start making your own slides It is a great value as well

Great Pre-Med Starter Set

First off I should state that I am a pre-med student taking pre-requisites for medical school and I purchased this set to become more familiar with histology (the study of tissue) particularily in mammals for my Human Anatomy and Physiology class. I have a standard binocular microscope with an oil imersion lens. For the money I found these slides to be very well prepared and comparable to the slides my college bio lab had. Some of the samples are a little bit thick but you would have to spend 3 to 4 times the amont of money for better preparations. If you are a pre-med student or biology major this is a great set to work off of. Some of the fixatives and dyes are basic and you can't see absolutely everything but you can see most major tissue landmarks and structures. This set has over 22 slides of mammal tissue from a wide range of locations so there is a lot to look at and study. Most of the samples are from a dog or rabbit but there are a few human samples. Mine came very nicely packaged and undamaged. Easy to store and clean. I would definately purchase another AmScope set based on this one.

Excellent product!

I wanted to buy my daughters (ages 12 and 13) something educational and fun for Christmas that they would enjoy. I purchased this set for them along with a microscope from Amazon. They really liked the set and were fascinated by the variety of slides. It really helps that each slide is labeled as they look at the images in the microscope and then google to learn more information about the ones that they are really interested in. Excellent educational find. Highly recommend.

These are awesome for my 7 year old

These are awesome for my 7 year old. She enjoys going thru this set and looking at Dig Deuodenem or fly Mouthparts, frog blood, or salt crystals. They are in alphabetical order. She's seen plant cells verses animal cells. It's awesome. I'll admit I'm enjoying it too. She's excited to show me after she gets it on the microscope and brings it into focus.

Good slides for beginners on microscopy!

Wow, these are cool. As a scientist, I can say that for the price, this is a good deal for those of you wanting a simple but collaborative collection of slides to get your kids or students interested in science. Slide quality is great and comes with descriptions, though I will probably number the slides myself to keep the order, as that is not provided. Slide descriptions are accurate and relevant to even the basic level college biology courses. Good purchase for beginners in the microscopic world.

Great for teachers and homeschoolers, better than expected

These slide are much better than I expected. I am a 6th grade life science teacher who saw these as a great deal, but was surprised with the quality of the staining and the selection was great. Used with a digital microscopes for classroom discussion, or for kids to use in a round-robin station based activity these slides are great. I would also recommend these for homeschoolers as they breadth of specimen would allow for your kids to start to see connections between different types of life. A great concept for kids at any age is to see patterns of similarity on a microscopic level of very different types of life. This set of slides is helpful for us to find those similarities .... and differences. On a side note I had kids come in at lunch to look at these slides because of the sharp images and variety they could examine.

Great selection and Quality

Bought this for my 7 year old to go with a Microscope we got her for Christmas... SHE LOVES IT and so do we! The slides are labeled well and come with a sheet for easy identification. the box is very nice quality and i have no doubt it will last. The variety of slides from different blood samples, bug parts, tissue samples, Plant material YOU NAME IT. There is a little of everything. Since Christmas by kid has spent at least 10 hours staring at these slides in amazement and has even taken to playing "Science Class" with her friends. So much so that i have had to change the battery in the Microscope twice because they are using it so much. Can not recommend these enough!
