I LOVE THESE SANDALS
Me: high arch & metatarsal, wide metatarsal with a narrow heel, recovering PF & 4th metatarsal stress fracture, so to cap it off I'm over 40 with feet issues. I LOVE THESE SANDALS! Strapping is padded for comfort, can be a B or W width due to adjustable straps, has heel shock absorption, medium to med-high arch support, low to medium metatarsal support, with solid traction on wet ground. For years I have been wearing Chacos Updrafts as they have high arch support but my metatarsal needed more "locked in" motion. Chacos are heavy, even the lighter weight models were taking a toll on my feet. I ordered several styles of Teva to try: Hurricane XLT, Terra Fi Lite, Terra Float, Verra, and Tirra. The Tirra was hands down the best of the pack. I'd say the Terra Fi Lite would be runner up for arch support but the triangle padding was uncomfortable and the strapping system was kinda weird (for me). Added bonus these are great looking, affordable, and come in tons of fun colors. If you are worried they will be chunky and masculine, then fear not! Trust me, if you have feet issues it is worth your time and money to try these out! 06/04 follow up: I love the Tirra so much I purchased the purple/gold as well!

THESE SANDALS WON'T DISAPPOINT!!
Let me begin by saying that I hardly EVER write reviews, but because I Read just about EVERY ONE EVER WRITTEN about these Womans Tirra Tevas in an attempt to decide whether they would be a "good fit" for me, I really wanted to share my POSITIVE FEEDBACK about these sandals! I'm in my mid 30's, but have severe nerve damage to my left foot. I had to have my baby toe amputated in '07, so every summer since, I ABSOLUTELY DREAD trying to find sandals that I can actually walk comfortably in, but that still look Cute on! In years past, I have literally spent THOUSANDS of dollars for sandals that were supposed to be "top of the line," but NONE of them came close to the COMFORT, SUPPORT, and FEMININITY of the Tirra Teva sandal!! The 2 adjustable straps at the footbed, and the 3rd at the top of the foot, provides a truly custom fit. When I was reading reviews prior to my purchase, some said the sandal was to wide, while others said they were too narrow. Let me clarify that by saying that my Mother and I wear the same shoe size, however I have a really wide foot, and my Mother has a very narrow foot, and these Tevas fit both of us like a glove!! All it took was a couple of quick strap adjustments! Others have also complained about the ankle strap "rubbing," but they obviously bought the wrong size because my left foot is so HYPERSENSITIVE that the littlest irritant can send me through the roof, but these sandals DON'T, regardless of how long I wear them!! These are actually the 1st pair of sandals I've owned that have straps that DON'T HURT MY FEET AT ALL!! I'm also extremely impressed with the arch and heel support, as it hits in exactly the right place on both my good AND bad foot, providing long lasting comfort and stability for not only my feet, but also my back. If you're on the fence about purchasing these Tevas, much like I was, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND taking a leap of faith and at least trying them! They are SO VERSATILE, can be dressed up or down, run true to size ( I usually wear a 9 1/2 wide or 10M, and bought the size 10's which fit perfectly) AND they look super cute on! Teva has come a long way since the days of the "earthy crunchy" manly looking sandals!! It's taken me 6 years and A LOT of wasted money before I FINALLY found the PERFECT summer sandal. In my opinion, they are worth every single cent, and then some! Whether you're super active or have foot problems, I guarantee that once you strap these sandals on, you'll NEVER want to wear another pair again!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK, TEVA!! AND KEEP UP THE UNBEATABLE PRICES, AMAZON...YOU ARE THE BEST!! C:

I love them. You'll love them.
TL;DR - true to size, comfortable, and have cosmetically and functionally held up to mud, rocks, water, swimming, walking in the woods, going to the grocery store, catching Pokemon at the park, hanging out at dive bars, etc. A+++ Update 8/2/16: I just got back from a week long road trip through Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. These are the only shoes that I brought with me. They went through the most at the Grand Canyon, where I hiked for hours in various temps and terrain, carrying about 60 lbs of backpack and small child. Not one single time did my feet hurt or feel uncomfortable. Not even a little. I bought these because a listicle told me they were the most well-rounded when it came to function and style. I was looking for something that I could be active in this summer and the reviews seemed appropriate. When I got them, the first thing I did (obviously) was walk to the park to play Pokemon Go. The ankle strap took some adjusting at first, but overall they were super comfortable so I kept them on all day. Nothing overly exciting but my feet never felt sweaty and gross, they never became uncomfortable, and I had this feeling that if the opportunity for adventure presented itself, I would be good to go. Unfortunately, all i did was buy groceries and stuff but whatever. Comfy! I wear a size 7 and they fit just fine. There's a little extra length at the toes, which is nice. They're also very adjustable. Great for wide feet! The real test came when my sisters and I decided to go float the river last weekend. I'm talking about a really gross, really muddy, slow, Texas river. (It's a lot of fun and you should try it!) They were low on tubes so we had to wait around for the campground representatives to bring us more. No biggie, I thought, as I bounced around the woods in my Tevas! Once the tubes got there, I climbed down the pretty steep decline to the water. So much traction. It was great. We started floating and I'll spare you all six hours worth of details BUT you should know this: this particular float actually involved quite a bit of walking. Sometimes, we walked through super thick, slimy mud. Sometimes, it was sandy and normal. A lot of it was extremely rocky and painful for everyone but me. My feet were 100% fine. Every now and then, a rock got into the sandal but I could just wiggle my foot and it'd wash away. I swam in them. I climbed out of the river onto rocks in them. I even let my baby sister, who wears a size and a half/two sizes bigger than me typically, borrow them during some especially rocky moments (because I'm the greatest sister ever), and they protected her feet/kept her from busting a**, as well. I think the extra length at the toes and the adjustability of the straps is what allowed them to work for her. After the river, we all went out to our favorite dive bar for a surprise party. These shoes are pretty cute so I wore them there, too. NOT only did they hold up during my adventures - they still look great right now! I didn't even thoroughly clean them after covering them in gross, red, Texas mud. I just rinsed them off, threw them in my sink, and passed out. Yet, here they are, as cute and functional as ever. Velcro still works perfectly and there are no weird stains. It's great. I'm on vacation for the next 11 days and will be exploring all kinds of landmarks and terrain, so I'll be sure to update later. That river trip put some serious stress on these babies, though. **picture was taken after above-mentioned river trip

Good Sandals!
I am in love with my new Teva W Tirra Sandals that I bought a couple of weeks ago! First, I ordered these as a pair of walking sandals for Universal Studios and Disney World in Florida. We are going for a week and I wanted a pair of shoes that would be suitable for walking, water rides, and that were open so my feet could breathe. Since we haven't gone yet, I am going to keep using them regularly and see how they do. I will post updates later on how well they perform in the parks and overall. Secondly, I will now discuss with you why I am already in love with them. They feel wonderful on my feet. All I had to do was slip them on for the first time and it was perfection. I have wide wide wide feet and have issues with shoes not fitting right because of that, but with these it wasn't a problem. Some people have said the straps could be longer so that they can adjust better. This might be true, but it's really not an issue for me because it still straps securely and works just fine, so it's not a concern of mine. The support is wonderful -- it feels just like my expensive, good quality tennis shoes that I have for walking around, but more liberating on my feet! The padding is great, support is great, and the cushion gives a bounce to your step, hence the reason they make great walking shoes. They do run true to size for the most part and since they are adjustable, they will most likely fit as expected. I normally wear a nine or nine and a half, and I ordered a nine because I saw everyone saying that they were a little big on their feet. That was a safe bet as the size nine feels like a perfect fit! The traction seems to be pretty good too on the bottom as they are made well and designed well. Again though, I will make updates to this review as I am still in the process of using them and haven't worn them on our trip to the parks yet. As far as cosmetics and the looks of these shoes go, I also really like it. They feel very feminine on my feet. I was worried when I saw the photos because the pinkish red color on the edges of the straps looks to be almost brown or red. That's not the case at all! It is a pretty grey and pink combination and is very subtle. The pink is more of a light/baby/rose pink. It really doesn't have a red tint to it at all. The grey is also lighter than it appears in the photo. And the shoes don't look too bulky either. I'd say overall, if you're wondering which pair of sandals to buy, I'd highly recommend these. They're good quality so far and I am excited to use them in the parks. *Update 2-20-17: I have used them a lot just to make sure they actually work....and they do! I've walked all over the mall, used them for exercise, walked all around a hilly campus, used them for every day/normal wear, etc. and they feel so amazing on my feet. Wearing flats most of the time, my feet get really tired and hurt by the time I am done at the mall. Every time I have worn them, I don't feel as though I need to sit for a second due to my feet hurting, because these Teva Sandals WORK! I am so excited to use them in the park. I will update again after I spend a week in Universal Studios and Disney World. *Update 3-14-17: I used my Teva Tirra W sandals at Universal Studios and Disney World parks for a week straight. They performed really well, especially as far as comfort. We walked on average 20,000 steps a day at the parks and usually were at the parks from 8 AM to 9 PM every day, not including travel time to get to and from the parks, so well over 12 hrs. Naturally, my whole body was exhausted at the end of each day, but these shoes held up really well. One thing I noticed was that at the end of one of the days at the parks, my feet started to rub the wrong way in my sandals and rubbed raw, so I had to wear tennis shoes the next day. I think it was a result of having one of my straps too loose as well as walking for 12 hrs straight and was most likely not the fault of the sandals. This has been the only problem that has occurred while using them, otherwise they've been beyond wonderful. I would still HIGHLY recommend these sandals.

Promising Sandal!
I LOVE these shoes. I had read a lot of reviews on them, and regardless of what site I was on, the reviews were all 5-star, raving reviews. I was sick of trying to wear dressier, 'fashionable' sandals while walking around. As a moderately active college student, I was A LOT, so I decided to breakdown and get a decent pair of actually supportive, comfy sandals. I tried these on in person somewhere and loved how they fit, but I wanted purple ;) Which brought me to Amazon. I am impacient, so I paid the 4 dollars for 1 day shipping, and it came right when I thought it would. They were in perfect condition, in an authentic Teva box. Initial impression: the color was even better than I thought it would be! Of course, I could have gotten a black pair so that they matched more, showed less dirt, blah blah blah. I don't think I could handle buying another pair of blah sandals. The purple gradient is adorable, and matches any sort of neutral color. I frequently wear it with jean shorts and a gray or black shirt. They look good whether I wear them with jeans rolled up, athletic shorts, jean shorts, etc. I am a 20 year old, semi-fit female, and I believe these are pretty darn cute for an athletic sandal. I haven't worn them extensively outdoors yet. Of course I have worn them on side walks, roads, and grass, but I have yet to wear them hiking or kayaking or anything. One reason I chose to get these is that they are supposed to be good for water to land transitions. One very damp kayak trip last summer taught me that amphibious shoes are a must. The material they are made of seems like it would dry quickly, though, so that seems promising. The 'too long, didn't read' version: They fit exactly how I expected them to, and are my usual size. Purple color is great, and they work well in different types of environment. They are a great versatile, athletic sandal that can be dressed up or down. They feel like need a little breaking in before taking them on any great endeavors, but overall, a great sandal for everyday use.

One giant step toward COMFORT!
I have a difficult time finding shoes that feel good and fit. I'm 66 and wear a prescribed orthotic insert in my sneakers. I often wear Clarks loafer style leather shoes for work because they fit and feel good. I have a bunion on my right foot that has gotten more pronounced in the last 2-3 years, but not bad enough for surgery. I found this sandal in a great shoe store in Durango,Colorado, but I didn't like the color they had in my size. I began looking on Amazon knowing that I could get the shoe in 2-3 days with my Prime account. I typically wear size 8, but tried on the 8 1/2 and it was perfect. in fact, so perfect I've hardly worn anything else since receiving them. So very comfortable with a great arch support, light weight and just darn cool for summer. Velcro straps across the top, at the ankle and behind your heel too. You would think that would look masculine but the straps are fairly thin and very attractive. Mine are the Dusk: Sort of a medium grey with a dusty rose pin stripe. I just love them and plan on getting another pair in another color. I don't write many reviews, but felt this was worth sharing.

Teva > Chaco
I LOVE THEM. The moment I slid my feet in I knew I made the right choice by returning my chacos and getting these. So well made and so comfortable. I was worried they would look dorky but they honestly aren't that bad. I've been wearing them around the house to test them out/break them in and I'm loving the secure fit and great arch support for my flat feet. Super true to size too. I'm an 8.5 and they are perfect. Also easy to adjust them to the perfect fit with the velcro straps. I can't wait to test these out in badlands, Yellowstone, and glacier at the end of the month for my 2 week long camping trip! I'll update my review and let you guys know how it went. ALSO I'm thrilled that the decadent chocolate color is more of a deep burgundy. So pretty!!!

I bought 7 pair
This particular Teva sandal is a dream come true for me. They're cute enough for dresses or pants, appear to be at least somewhat amphibious, are extraordinarily comfortable and, most importantly, custom adjust to a very wide position (my feet bump put on BOTH sides) from a good position (aided by 3 customizable velcro straps). Did I mention how freakin' cute they are? I've tried other models of Tevas with even MORE straps that didn't work: the magic is in the positioning. Being obese, middle aged, and having wide, double bumping-out feet I resigned myself years ago to expensive ugly shoes. So being able to get a pair under $120 now seems a good price to me, so at $60-80 these feel "half price" to me. Most of my wardrobe is brown & black because I'm fat, but even more because I have no other-colored shoes! These 7 Tevas will let me expand my color repertoire (in warm weather, at least) and replace a few other, more expensive shoes that weren't really that comfortable (but were the best I could find). 2017 Update: I bought 2 more colors, totalling 7 pr now. Because these are amphibious, they won't get ruined (unlike former leather sandals) after getting wet multiple times.

BEST SHOES EVER!!!
Best shoes ever!!! Walked around Dubai for 10 days straight for hours at a time. Walked on sand dune inclines and fast paced through streets and my feet never knew it. Most cushioned shoe I've ever walked and hiked in. I'm a lifer!!!

Best Footwear Ever, Bar None
Wihout exaggeration, the BEST footwear I've EVER owned. Been wearing them for years. Tried all the other competetive brands, and nothing beats the Teva Tirra sandals. I have bad feet and back issues from pounding the pavement as a salesperson in NYC (in heels) back in the day. I've got a neuroma in one foot (the nerve between the bones in the ball of my foot gets pinched - super painful) and I suffer from over pronation (my feet roll in when I walk so my arches flatten). In normal shoes/sneakers I have to wear $400 orthotics to help fix these issues and will still have pain at the end of the day. With these I can go for 15 hours of hiking, the gym, and daily activities and don't feel a thing. My back thanks me, too. They are adjustable on the top for foot width, as well as around the ankle. For me, the support and comfort are incomparable. They are outdoor sport sandals and therefore, waterproof. The adjustable Velcro straps enable you to tighten them up a bit for wet-weather hiking to alleviate sliding around in them the way you'd experience it in other sandals with buckles or clips you can pull tight enough. When they get dusty or grimy from use, I just use a non-abrasive scrubber sponge and mild soap to clean the inner and outer parts. Keeps them looking like new. In the winter I throw on a pair of black socks and wear my black pair to run errands. I even wear them instead of bedroom slippers around the house. I jump right in them when I wake up in the morning to start the day. I hope and pray that Teva never discontinues this style! I'd love it if they made a covered "shoe" version of this style. I wear a 9.5 or 10 in shoes and sneakers, depending on the style, and I wear a 9.5 in these.
