We been using this sterilizer for a month now is quite good and sturdy. We love the space it has for all kind of bottles and simplicity / sleek design for the unit. It does a fine job for a sterilizer and the only thing I do wish it had was a dryer too, along with the sterilizer, but otherwise it is a fine unit and would surely recommend this. We use this atleast 2 times a day for all kind of bottles, baby nipples, pacifiers, etc and then dry them out manually and it does the job. I would recommend this unit

The quick run time has been great on days where we don't do a full load of dishes in the dishwasher. We can rinse out bottles and put in here and just a few minutes later they are sterile and ready for use. The only complaint is that we've had to buy distilled water to use with this as our tap water must have impurities that would build up on the heating surface. But it's been extremely valuable in not only cleaning bottles, but pacifiers and teething toys as well.

For anyone who thinks there is rust in your unit, it is most likely actually sediment from the water you are using. Pour white distilled vinegar into the area and let it set for about 15 minutes. It will start to soften the sediment. While the vinegar is still in the pan, use a plastic butter knife to start scraping at the sediment and continue to allow the vinegar to work to soften the underneath layers (use plastic, so you don't scratch the surface). If you work at it, let the vinegar soften the sediment and scrape away layers as it softens, you will eventually clear all of the sediment away. Once clear, clean it regularly with white vinegar and try to prevent the build up

I really love having this sterilizer. It's easy to use, and gives me piece of mind about my baby's health. For my last baby I tried a microwave sterilizing bag, but it didn't fit much, and I often burned my hands on the steam. This fits 6, eight ounce bottles easily, and I usually have some pacifiers in there as well. Always use distilled water to avoid residue build up. If needed, I just wipe it with some white vinegar and it cleans off any hard water stains.

I bought for myself like 4 years ago. Great value and easy to use. just need small amount of water and a few minutes, you will get your work done. Save your time and more secure. LoL, you will see the difference by checking your gas bill if you used to boil the bottles in a pot with full of water. This time I bought it as a gift for my sister since she is having a newborn daughter. In addition, I feel it's easy to clean. I used the vinegar and sometimes lemon to clean it. After the cleaning, feel it's brand new. However, the plastic basket did get slight bent. Since it's BPA free, so it might not be a serious problem.

I felt stupid for buying this when I first opened it, it's nothing more than a hot plate with plastic cages to hold bottles, but after realizing that you don't have an open fire or a hot stove with a boiling pot of water that you have to watch, the utility of this sterilizer starts to shine. It could've been a bit cheaper, but I can't argue with economics. This is the most basic model and I think this is all you need... Pro-Tip: The metal piece that heats up the water on the main base unit does gets a bit calcification if you use tap water (I'm in the USA), just cut a few slices of lemon, squeeze the juice onto it, let it sit for a bit, then use that piece of lemon and scrub it after it sits for a while, the calcification will come right off. I use this method to avoid any chemical/soap to wash the base. Just don't dunk the thing in water since there are exposed wires/electronic timer inside the base.

I have had the same Avent Sterilizer for five years. We used it through our daughter's bottles and breast pump accessories and are using it again while fostering twins. We absolutely love this product! After boiling everything with our first born 14 years ago, I cannot express how much more convenient this sterilizer is. I would definitely recommend it!

Pros: Only 4 pieces (see pictures) One button Easy to put together (seriously brainless) Easy to fill Works for many items other than bottles (pacifiers, breast pump parts, small plastic toys) Quick! Cons: Doesn't dry parts Takes up a lot of counter space (see picture with 8 oz glass bottle as size reference) I love having a sterilizer to use instead of boiling bottle and pump parts! We use this to clean all my Medela breast pump parts, pacifiers, small plastic toys, and of course Philips Avent bottles (the 8 oz glass bottles specifically). I love how quickly it works - I just put in the water, put the pieces together, and press ONE BUTTON. Five minutes later, it's all done. I do wish it would dry the pieces as well as steam - you need to take everything out (or at least pull the pieces apart) to get it to dry.

I always try and wait a while to write a review, it’s been about three and half months and still going strong. Doesn’t take up to much room which is nice, and personally for me I really didn’t want one that you had to use in the microwave. I use nursery water in mine and run it around 2-3 times today. I have had no issues with rust like I read in some reviews. I empty and dry the bottom with paper towel, and clean the main part every few days - let it air dry after use. Maybe this has stopped with the issues. Always unplug after use. I would buy this again, or give it as a gift. I personally found it easy to use. I have used a variety of bottle brands and sizes and so far have not ran into any issues of stuff not fitting.

This product is very essential in sterilizing your baby’s bottles, pacifiers etc. It works great and I haven’t had a problem with it in the past 3 months since I got this as a baby shower gift. I know there’s a lot of people who complain about getting rust on the metal area where you put water but it’s very easy to clean. I clean it by soaking the metal plate (only the metal plate to the max level sign) UNPLUGGED with vinegar for an hour or 2 depending on how bad it is and then I rinse it with water and soap don’t let any water touch the cord area. The rust and dirt comes off easy. The metal plate will get dirty and rusty but it’s normal with any metal that gets in contact with water so don’t worry about it!
