Perfect for what I need it for. Easy to put together, holds a good amount of movies. Exactly what I wanted.

This came to me in 2 days with prime and was packed very well. I bought 2 of them and casually put them both together in about 15 min. They look nice and effectively hold my DVD's, Blue ray's and CD's. Suggestion, when putting together the instructions show that you slide the back in after you have both sides assembled. After assembling many things like this I didn't even try that. I put the back in before installing the other side panel. While adjusting it to center properly I found that it probably wouldn't have slid in very well the way they show. Just a little FYI...

Listen, this is cheap stuff. And, I use it in my closet to organize my cd's. If you want something to put in your living room, look at the $300 cabinets. But, with a little glue on the dowels, this was stupidly easy to assemble, and works great. For $30 what do you want, a friggin' Ethan Allen?? Come on, folks!

After reading the mixed reviews and answers to this product, I was really not sure what to expect. Now that it arrived and is set up, I have to say I am pleasantly surprised. - This shelf will hold books without a problem. I have stacked mine full of books and am very confident that there will be no bending or breaking. (Those saying you shouldn't try clearly never did themselves) It will probably not hold textbooks - but that is merely because of their dimensions rather than their weight (check the dimensions carefully, it's not particularly deep!) - It indeed DOES come with a black back. The top rated answer says it doesn't which is simply not true. - All holes were perfectly drilled in the one I got. (The small inner ones not perfectly cleaned as seen in some of the pictures, but who cares since there will be a wooden board covering them any way? :D)

I will admit when I purchased this I purchased it based on the photo so I assumed it would hold more than it does. Once I got the box I realized I was wrong. But I was not upset with the amount of space it does have. We bought it to store DVDs and the height of it is perfect because it matched up with my TV stand. Putting the back on was a little difficult and I managed to rip part of it, but it's not noticeable. I've got my DVDs stacked on top of each other on the shelf and with the 5 shelves and the bottom we have 100+ that I was able to get on it. Also the amount of space on the top fits my VCR with the DVD player on top of the VCR. So this is really a great option for the price.

After reading what seemed like hundreds of reviews for this thing, I finally just ordered it. I love it! I needed a media storage shelf for my apartment living room to display my Blu-Ray collection. For Blu-Rays I got 4 shelves of space and it's perfect! Instructions were pretty easy to follow, put it together by myself in about 25 minutes. I love it. If someone is looking for a small Blu-Ray storage shelve, look no further.

I'm redesigning my library/den and needed a quick but unobtrusive place to put some figurines. It had to fit in behind a door in a corner of the room, and it needed to be sturdy. It didn't have to look magnificent or anything along those lines, just perform functionally. Well, imagine my delight when this little number filled all the checked boxes nicely. They designed a sweet little shelf with this one. A single fixed shelf and a thick cardboard back give this a sturdiness. Wooden dowels and four screws hold the shelf in place, and the same goes for the top and base. No nails required. All you need is a drill with a phillips head bit to assemble this. Five minutes and it was done. As for ease, I did the assembly in my wheelchair! Beautifully designed for ease of assembly. Nice black matte finish. My only issue with this is that the screw heads are clearly visible...a black plastic cap for each would have been nice. You get four adjustable shelves, held in place with metal dowels. A series of gutters allow the shelves to sit flush and secure in place. There are six placement points to easily customize it to your needs. Very happy with this purchase!!!!!

Much better than as reviewed by some other folks. It is easy to put together, with just a moment of thought. I still got it wrong, because I took only half a moment of thought. Put the wood pegs in their holes first, dummy; then it is easy to get the rest of it right! :-) I did buy two of them, and mounted one on top of the other. They are plenty strong enough for that - against a wall or, in my case, the end of another shelf unit. I could mount as sheet of plywood on their back, to lock them together more firmly, or merely anchor them to the other shelf unit, but it is not necessary; they are fine as they are. You will have extra shelves left over, if you use it for DVDs. Obviously, I recommend this item.

This is easy to put together and pretty sturdy. As others have said, it is made for dvds and cds so if you are looking to store heavier items or books it may not hold up long term. I read the dimensions before buying this so I knew it was going to be small, and that's exactly what I wanted. However, I can see how some people might be upset with the size. The picture on the website and on the box shows five shelves, one with a lot of extra space. However, in actuality it only has room for four shelves. I have two extra shelf pieces that I'm keeping in case one breaks. You can't move the shelves to make smaller CD shelves or try to make the shelves the exact size of a DVD case because of the placement of the peg holes. You could create a couple tiny shelves for knickknacks but that's about it. So, if you're visualizing a unit that has room for 5-6 shelves you may be picturing something larger than it actually is. Overall though, I am happy with this purchase. I wanted something small for my bedroom and this is it. And it is sooo much sturdier than the plastic piece of crap I bought before this.

This media cabinet is exactly what I expected it to be: adequate, well-built for its price, and easy to assemble. It took me only twenty minutes to put together due to its simple design and accompanying instructions and feels sturdy enough to support a full load of BluRay discs and other disc formats. Keep in mind that it's designed to accommodate only BluRay discs, DVDs, and CDs; any other type of media, such as books, will not fit on its shelves as their depth is great enough to only accommodate the aforementioned media formats. Overall, I like this product because of its low price but reasonable quality, as well as its simple yet elegant aesthetic (which matches that of my other furniture, all of which I also ordered from Amazon).
