A dear relative has dementia and fidgets constantly. I purchased this, placed it by her chair. After eyeing it awhile, she picked it up and began fiddling with it, keeping her hands busy. I don't know how long it will hold her attention, but for now it is doing its job.

Love it! I leave it out on the coffee table all the time and EVERYONE picks it up and plays with it. Very soothing somehow. My 5yo likes to make a crown out of it and make me queen. :) It's a fun accent that looks high end.

I bought these ART Balls as part of my gift to my husband for our 5th wedding anniversary since the traditional gift for year 5 is wood. Well, they were a huge hit! He took them to work to have on his desk and EVERYONE who stops by his office asks about them or plays with them. When he stuck on something he tries make a new configuration with the ART Balls and it helps clear his head and come up with a solution. Plus they are just cool to look at.

I found this item on an Alzheimer's website. It was recommended as an activity for people with Alzheimers. When I gave it to my father-in-law he was very confused and asked if it was a toy for the dog, he set it down somewhat disgustedly. His caregiver said that the next day he picked it up and started playing with it. Now he likes it and it seems to calm him.

I am a therapist and I bought this for my office to serve as a fidget. Both adults and children enjoy using it. I love that it is wooden. My plastic fidgets get grungy but this one looks like new still. I’ve had many kiddos pop it apart and put it back together. I’m always nervous it will break but so far I’ve always been able to put it back together.

I bought this as a gift for my 3 year old nephew with the idea that it would be fun to manipulate and also something that would be cute in his room. All the adults at the party were just as drawn to it as he was. It is sturdy and addictive. It's fun to see what different shapes and configurations you can make with it and it never feels like it will break. I think his parents will probably play with it as much as he does and now I want one too!

BEST cubicle art ever!! Be aware - fun conversation piece but more importantly, EVERYONE who visits your cube will want to play with it. Set rules and guidelines from day one. HA!

Beautiful colors. A different and interesting way to exercise the joints and tendons in my hands. It's easy to get bored with the standard (and necessary) exercises so I'm always looking for fresh new approaches to add, they don't always work but I'm very happy with this one.

I originally bought this gift as a gift for my sister's classroom, though it comes home in the summer for my daughter to play with. My sister teaches special education students, and one of the children is on the autism spectrum. I found this Playable ART Ball doing a general search for toys for kids with autism, so I cannot claim thinking of it on my own. My 5-year-old daughter, who is not on the autism spectrum, also loves it as do I. So, it's really a toy for everyone. The balls are connected to each other in some way that I cannot really describe, but they move in pairs and can rotate. You can make a variety of shapes with them and move them around. They are all connected to each other, which I think is clear from the product pictures. The whole thing is just one piece that can be manipulated. While I have not been able to make the cube or some of the stacks shown in the product picture, I do have fun manipulating it. The pieces move around and give them sensory value for lack of a better word. They are wooden but feel smooth, and the piece is easy to manipulate yet will stay in place. That is what makes this a great toy for those on the autism spectrum. I find it relaxing just to sort of mess with them and see what patterns I can make--sort of a stress reliever, I suppose. The paint does wear off after a while, but that is to be expected. After over a year of ownership and being in the hands of many kids, you can see where the paint is wearing then. Still plenty of color.

Big balls and that's great because I can use it to excercise my arthritic hands. It is fun and the balls snap apart and can be used with the Playable ART sticks and angles which makes it even more fun. Kids who visit our home are intrigued by a new and different activity. Definitely glad I bought them.
