A Great Investment in Personal Safety!
I purchased the Savre Red Pepper Spray for my wife to keep on her key ring. You can never be too safe, and the fact that she is a petite mom typically tending to two kids, made me purchase this for her safety. This was a replacement for the exact same Sabre model she's been carrying for the past few years. Im happy that she's never had to use it, and I'm even happier that before disposing of the old one I was able to test it and it still worked perfectly after many years! I rate this a perfect 5/5! Thank you for reading and rating my review!

Lightweight, compact, easy to carry.
I did not have any issue with the product and the “safety” always stayed in the locked position. I liked the key ring separator option (you can separate the can from the keys ahead of time when heading to your car). For me personally though, I did not like having to “slide to the side” the nozzle to unlock it. Seems like an extra step to try and remember when your brain is racing a million miles an hour already if you’re caught off guard in a questionable situation. I’ve opted to purchase a flip top safety cap canister elsewhere. Just a personal preference that I think ide do better with.

Everyone should have one! (to never use!)
EVERYONE should have something like this for personal protection. It can make a smaller, unathletic person feel safe among neanderthals. It's not a gun, but will get people to move away! (I would never want the thing used on me, so i'll avoid it's spray, as a concept! The active ingredients are; a food extracts causes the eyes to burn and water, a uv dye (to see who it was you sprayed) and an irritant gas the U.S. Government feels is safe enough to expose our own military soldiers to. The $10 to 20 spent is more than worth the feeling of protection it provides. And just pointing it can say "I REALLY WANT YOU TO LEAVE ME ALONE" more clearly than yelling when you have been arguing a bit? The canister is very light and compact. And the quick release lets you decide when you want to take it with you, without anything more than a snap. THIS ONE, I would suggest redesign for pocket use, as it appears that a pocket might affect the trigger safety. But attaching to a belt loop, in a purse, wallet, or briefcase, in your car, makes this one great for such.

Tested when we received it. Worked TOO well
recieved the Sabre 3-in-1 spray fast with Amazon prime. As soon as it got here I took the little lady outside and had her test it. It shot far, at least 10 feet, and the slight wind didn't seem to affect it that much. As far as effectiveness?? After she sprayed it I walked through the lingering cloud. You know, just to test it with my dumb boyfriend brain. DO NOT DO THIS. Trust me, it works, you don't need to make sure. I swear to god one of my eyes almost melted out. A direct spray to the face would have turned me into a crying little beeotch. I'm honestly sure why I thought that I needed to do this, I've never gotten a new handgun or brass knuckles and said "you know, let's make sure this thing isn't faulty". At any rate this is an industry leading manufacturer of defensive products, and you can buy with the utmost confidence that there products are effective.

Great stuff
When looking for "mace" for friends and family I like to check and make sure that it includes the 3 main ingredients (Pepper Spray, Tear Gas and most important UV dye) and this spray does. Why are those 3 important? The pepper spray irritates the attackers eyes causing them the sting, burn and water but requires direct contact. This reduces the attackers ability to see you. The tear gas causes additional watering of the eyes as well as running nose and coughing and does not require direct contact. UV dye is passive and does nothing during the attack, however, UV dye marks the attacker so that they can later be identified by police using a black light. This gives additional evidence in cases where the defenders ability to recognize the attacker is in question. Not only is this a great spray it has enough capacity to be test fired to familiarize the user with the spray and what sort of range it has. (This spray easily has 8' range) It comes in pink, red, and black. From my experience women tend to find it easier in their purse if it's pink or red, but some women aren't huge fans of those color. As long as they know how to use it to protect themselves the spray will do the rest. Pros: 3-in-1 (Pepper spray, tear gas, UV dye) Great range (8'+) Extra capacity for test firing Very effective Simple to use Good built-in safety Cons: None

gotta have one!
I had never had mace before but bought one when crime reports went up in my neighborhood, because I often have to take my dog out late at night before going to sleep. It does feel really good to know I have a way of easily defending myself. I've since bought a couple of these for friends, men and women. As a woman, you can get a lot of unwanted attention. I'm rarely afraid for my safety and most interactions are easily avoided and easily forgotten, but every once in a while (living in a major city) you come across someone who unfortunately is either totally high or perhaps mentally ill, often both, which is more sad than anything else. I don't assume people are interested in messing with me, because for the very most part, they are not, but its also in those moments when i'm glad I have it at the ready, on the off chance anyone starts to seriously get into my space. I'm not paranoid or particularly worried, but it does feel very good to know I have a way of defending myself. I had never carried any kind of weapon (for lack of a better term, not sure of the preferred nomenclature) before. It gives you a level of security that you may not have missed before you had one, but not that you do, you feel more empowered and ready.

Thankfully I haven't had to use it as yet but ...
Thankfully I haven't had to use it as yet but I feel safer knowing that I have it. I have a disabled teenager that I travel with and don't live in the safest neighborhood. This makes me feel a lot less vulnerable. I bought coil keyrings which I attached and wear on my wrist under my coat. This frees up my hand while still keeping my spray readily available if needed. I also bought for my daughter for added peace of mind.

It Works Trust Me
I bought 2 of the black Sabre's and 2 of the turquoise for my sisters and girlfriend. The ergonomics are good and it hasn't fallen off any key chains. Of course, the second they arrived, I wanted to test them. Never having been pepper sprayed before, I had no idea what to expect. A friend and I stood in the yard and we were slowly sprayed ear to ear as per the instructions. At first, it wasn't bad, but it quickly went downhill. The pain consistently increased for 10 minutes but felt longer. After it took full effect, opening my eyes hurt like a mother. It was nearly impossible to override your bodies instinct to clamp them shut. I tried walking into the kitchen and could barely feel my way there, stumbling with the help of a friend. I was in no shape to walk 15 feet, let alone attack someone. You'll think that it is finally done getting worse, but it will continue to surprise you. My friend emptied a gallon jug of milk on his face, and I used a sink. Maybe I am a huge wimp, maybe my nice blue eyes are sensitive. Needless to say, I ended up buying some for myself. Don't take my word for it. Let someone give you nice long hit of this stuff and you can decide whether I'm a little drama queen or not. NOTE: You have to press hard on the trigger tab. The harder you press, the farther the stream goes. Just smash the tab. I'd test fire it once to get a feel for it. It comes out in a narrow stream.

HELP!!!
Yes, it really works very well. had to use it once while trying to unlock my car, someone bad tried to 'get me', but I was faster and sprayed him good. He could not move and claimed his eyes were blinded. In no time the mall police came and took him in.

Exactly what I wanted
I haven't had to use it yet, thank goodness lol but it's definitely good to have. Very easy to carry around on your keychain, lightweight and easy to understand how to use. Convenient and makes you feel safer just knowing you have it.
