Great Machine, Love it!
Love my Juki serger! I have had it for a few months now and it works great. The manual was easy to follow for threading the machine, the tweezers really were handy and easy to use. The manual was unclear about the actual process of serging for the four thread overlocking stitch. I could not get the instructional dvd to work in my laptop because it is an unbalanced disk. However, I think it will work in a dvd player. I recommend this to anyone looking to begin serging. And you can't beat the price! I looked at a floor model in a babylock dealership, but amazon offered the better deal.

0) - the Brother 1034D itself was a very good machine and I'm not knocking it
I bought this to replace my entry level Brother serger, which had broken (no fault of the machine, it was due to reckless serging!!!) :0) - the Brother 1034D itself was a very good machine and I'm not knocking it, but it was going to cost as much to repair it as it would to replace it, so I decided to consider an upgrade instead. This seemed to be a very basic machine (not an upgrade) but it mentioned automatic threading and an adjustable knife, along with an automatic rolled hem. The automatic threating and adjustable knife are awesome, but to be fair, the automatic rolled hem still requires removing one needle, changing lots of settings, etc. It's not like you flip a switch and voila, rolled hem (oh, how I wish it!)!!! So that isn't really any different than the brother, but it's not any worse either. Overall, I feel that for the same price as my brother, I actually did get a minor upgrade. I really like this machine. It's also a tad quieter.

Best server ever great price!!!
Easiest server I've threaded ever!! Didn't even need the instructions the colored guides on the machine were pretty self explanatory and it gets the job done!

Great beginners machine
I am still learning to use my Juki but so far I am impressed. It is easier to thread than I had expected and the inside mechanical parts are metal, not plastic, so I am happy with this machine. Would have preferred a manual as opposed to the DVD but that is just my personal preference.

it was that easy. This is my 6th serger in the last ...
I threaded it out of the box without the instructions, it was that easy. This is my 6th serger in the last 25 years or so. They have had good maintenance, but extremely heavy use and they cost a great deal more money than this one did. I had my reservations, but I need not have. I sew jeans and I need it to go through 6 layers of denim to handle seam intersections. It did grind and argue a bit, but it did the job. I messed with the tensioning a bit because after shipping, it will be a bit off. It stitches very evenly and after tinkering the tension a bit, just as nicely as my $2500 serger I bought 20 years ago. It was worth every dime and I'm sure it will give good service, especially as I don't do quite the quantities of sewing that I once did.

Very Happy With This Juki
I love this serger, it works wonderful. The dvd that came with it was great. I was using it the same day I took it out of the box. Have used it several times now.

Juki MO 50-E or Brother 1034D??
Love this machine! It is solid, quiet (for a serger), easy to thread. Simple to switch between overlock and rolled hem. I also have the Brother 1034D and love it as well but believe this machine will outlast that one. Very compact size. Sews over many layers without difficulty whereas the Brother balks at gathered layers of cotton for my granddaughter's "twirly" dresses.

Juki MO 50e 3/4 thread overlock serger
I recently received this Juki serger. I am very pleased with the serger, it is very easy to thread, all color coded and a great DVD comes with it along with the Juki Book all very excellent. I like very much how easily it can be cleaned. This Juki serger is excellent for a person like me a beginner to surging. I have also bought some excellent serging books from Amazon which are very good and helps me to understand how a serger works. I have recently made fitted crib sheets for my new grandchild on the way, along with receiving blankets and burp bibs all came out very good. These items were made very quickly. I think anyone buying this serger will be very happy with it.
