Great spatula set - colors are vibrant and rich

OXO is my typical go-to brand for kitchen items sine I know they're high quality and they last forever. This spatula set was no exception. It's great for the price - three different size spatulas - and they work great. They colors are vibrant and rich. I've used these each several times and put them in the dishwasher every time, but haven't had any issues with the color fading and becoming dull. Great tools that are a joy to use

Great tools that are a joy to use. While I got these to give as a gift I have owned a set for several years that I bought locally for a much higher price. As other reviewers probably have mentioned the tops do come off but that normally only happens while working with really sticky stuff and I have not had a problem with food getting stuck inside it. Just really like all three since they are great for mixing, cooking or just scraping everything out of a container.

Just what I was looking for!!

My roommate owned one of these silicone spatula's and I instantly fell in love! They are perfect for mixing and the easiest things to clean. So once I moved out, I instantly purchased this set for myself and have been using it for about a month now with no problems whatsoever. To be honest, I only use one of them (the white one) as it is the perfect size for the food I cook. But I got three for a great price, so I'm not complaining! Definitely a kitchen must for every home. Life changing spatula LOL!

Just what I needed

These are great tools. I was looking for tools to use with new non-stick cookware. I thought I would try these in addition to a turner. They have worked out great. They are comfortable in my large hands, and very easy to clean even after leaving them out and not cleaning them right away. I haven't ever had to soak them to get them clean. I noticed some have complained about their stiffness. Although I think this observation is correct, I think it is misplaced. You should think of these as essentially alternatives to wooden spoons, not as soft, shape conforming spatulas. They also have the advantage of being relatively impervious to heat. I use both the red and the white ones to saute and to make stir fry in my wok. They are perfect for both purposes.

Makes a really nice set.

I bought these spatulas to replace one of our old OXO spatulas that was pretty beat up. The main difference that I noticed between the old and new models is the finish on the spatula heads. Our old spatula had a textured matte finish and seemed a bit more flexible. These new spatulas have a high gloss smooth finish. They work just as well and resist staining and melting just like the old one. The three sizes are a perfect set to cover most situations. Update: After using these for a while my wife has now decided that the new gloss finish on the spatula heads is not nearly as nice as the old textured finish. It makes them harder to use when doing things like scrapping pans and bowls. They also seem to be stiffer towards the edges than the old ones which keeps them from molding to the shade of the container.

I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN AFTER ALL THE OXO PRODUCTS I HAVE PURCHASED THAT I SHOULD HAVE LOOKED TO THEM FOR THESE ITEMS. WHEN THEY CAME I WAS THRILLED TO SEE HOW STURDY THEY ARE. AM SO HAPPY WITH THE DIFFERENT SIZES. I LOVE TO COOK AND WHEN YOU HAVE QUALITY COOKING TOOLS IT CERTAINLY MAKES IT EVEN MORE ENJOYABLE!

My favorite set

The pink silicone scooped one is fantastic and I use it all the time. Silicone definitely eases the chore of cleaning pans as it keeps residue down very well when cooking. The little one is great for odd jobs, and the white for mixing batter, etc. You cannot beat OXO for price and usability!

Colorful, practical and good quality

I have been so busy buying Christmas gifts for everyone that I have neglected some things that I need for myself.. and new spatulas was high on my list of things to get. What brought my attention to the need of new spatulas was two new fancy bundt cake pans that I got.. and to get the intricate designed cake pans to release without the cake sticking.. I needed a small flexible spatula to slide down between the baked cake and the pan... the small green one is perfect for this. The red medium spatula has rounded edges and acts a bit more like a spoon.. great for stirring or sampling or scooping things. The white spatula is the traditional spatula.. great for scraping things out of jars and containers.. getting the last of the mayo. This is my first experience with silicone spatulas.. and so far I am quite happy with them. They worked two fold for me on a cake mix.. (which was what I bought them for ) for mixing.. and scraping into the pan.. then for helping to release the cake from the pan, instead of using a knife that would put scratches on the pan. No complaints from me.. I like them very much.

Probably The Best Spatula Set Available

The heads of the spatulae (plural for spatula?) are very "grippy" - and they don't come off the handles, which is important to me. Once grime gets down inside there, it doesn't come out - which is gross. As is the case with pretty much all of OXO's kitchen products, these aren't the cheapest spatulae available, but they're probably among the best for everyday use. I will buy more.

Never going back to cheap spatulas

Pros: -Surprisingly affordable. I can't believe the money I've wasted on cheap spatulas that crack and break when I could have been using these. -Very comfortable to hold. -Heat resistant and dishwasher safe. Cons: -They take up too much space in my cooking utensil jar/container because the handles are so big. However, I wouldn't trade comfort for smaller handles. Guess I'll just need to get a bigger jar or find a new place to put these :) Depends on your preference: -They are quite stiff. I actually like that about them. I've used spatulas that were so floppy they would fold in on themselves when they ran into something thick (peanut butter jar, anyone?) and I don't have that problem with these.
