Fantastic low carb alternative
I love this stuff...it's not available locally and everywhere else I've looked online is even more expensive so it's worth the cost to me. It makes low carb dieting so much easier. You can make about anything with this stuff and I found a great website online with TONS of recipes for carbquik. My favorite super easy snack to do right now is add 1/3 cup carbquik and enough water to make dough to a microwavable bowl, then I add whatever I feel like. Garlic powder and cheese for a cheesy biscuit, sweetener and cinnamon for a cinnamon roll, sugar free chocolate chips and caramel for a sweet muffin, just whatever sounds good. Then I microwave it for 2 minutes and it's sooooo good.

Pancakes every day, NOW you can.
Amazing stuff, but do not think this will take EXACTLY like carb laden mixes because if that's your mindset you have already lost.... I mainly make the pancakes and I have tried all the sugar free varieties of syrups I could find locally. Let me suggest that anyone else looking for a syrup replacement try Walden Farms Maple Walnut Syrup it is 0 calories/0 carbs and it tastes 85% like real syrup. I have made these for people who are not on a diet and they like them(like not love). If someone is making the pancakes from the recipe on the box let me also suggest that you try omitting the butter and cream and just using more water, believe it or not, it tastes just fine and you get to really cut down on the calories. I add a little vanilla extract and stevia to the mixture. I do one cup of carbquik, one egg, 7oz water, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla, stevia to taste. After using as much of the zero calorie walden farms syrup as I want I have consumed something like 340 calories(you can add butter after they are made but remember its 100cals per tablespoon) and 6 carbs in a whole 6 stack of pancakes DRENCHED in syrup...Guys/gals It doesn't get much better than this when you miss things like pancakes and now you get to bring them back into your life guilt free...Almost too good to be true. Lately I have gone on another weight loss kick and a stack of these pancakes with walden farms syrup is part of my daily routine every day and I am down 10 of the 15lbs I want to lose. To me that is like a fairytale...eating pancakes everyday and still losing weight...Love this stuff so I order two boxes at a time.

Awesome sugar free Pound cake.
Just made the pound cake, it is delicious. I read that there was a after taste, no, it is delicious! Make sure that you mix it well. The batter is thick and it does brown by 55 minutes. Before you flip the bunt pan, take a plastic knife and run it around the edges, as well as the middle circle.

I can only speak to the biscuits I made from this product, and they were GREAT!!!! Now, 1-oz is an unrealistic size for a biscuit. ;-) I make 2 oz. biscuits, and they are on the small side. So, you will be eating 4 g of carbs, not 2 g, BUT that is a far cry less than the 28 g from conventional mixes!

Carbquik Baking Mix Review - Yummy and stayed in ketosis
Oh my gawd! This is the best low carb baking mix out there. I just ordered two more boxes. My husband and I both love it. The taste is the same as regular white flour. I could not believe how great the taste was. It smells like regular baking mix. I also love that it has baking powder etc in it already, I have made waffles and the cheddar biscuit recipe on the box. The waffles have brought out my old Belgium waffle maker into full force! The cheddar biscuits were amazing too. The real exciting news though, for low carbers is that eating a huge Belgium waffle that contained 1/2 cup of the baking mix did not knock me out of ketosis. I also checked my blood sugar the next day and it was in the 90's which is good for me. Normally if I am not low carving my blood sugar tends to be just over normal at around 110. I eat low carb to keep my numbers down and to avoid getting diabetes. I have made waffles for people who are not needing to watch their sugar and they can not tell that they are made from something other than normal high carb baking mix. I have no digestive upset from eating this baking mix, and neither did my husband. Thanks for reading my review Becky Brooks I paid full price for this item.

Odd flavor/New box awesome flavor
I want to give my review of this and if someone tells me some tricks, I will change my review. So far I have made pancakes, many rounds of biscuits, crepes, bread, and pizza dough. Everything seems to look like it should, but the flavor. Wow. Just so synthetic or plastic. Does not matter what I add. If I do biscuits I have tried increasing the butter and end up with butter flavored synthetic tasting biscuits. I am not sure if it is the batch I purchased that maybe the container was placed in the Amazon warehouse somewhere that was next to something synthetic or what? I just cannot get passed this plastic taste in whatever I make. It is not like the other ingredients vary that much from dish to dish. I asked my husband with the first batch of biscuits, what do you think? Well, they look like biscuits. Flaky like a biscuit. He said is there something you put in it? I said why? He said don't know just a very strange after taste. I wanted him to explain because I had already made my decision after the first bite what it tasted like to me. He said don't know. Cannot describe the after taste other than fake if that makes any sense. I said you mean man-made synthetic something???? He said yeah. Like it is fake. You know like the flavor of a scrambled egg scrambled in a pan versus one put in a microwave. Just something off. We kept trying other things and just cannot get rid of that synthetic plastic taste. Any advice would be great. If that is just the flavor and you have to get used to it, no thanks. I have taste buds for a reason and will just made try almond flour or coconut flour and see if I can do something different......................... I AM AMMENDING THIS POST: After posting the initial comments about Carbquick, a representative from the manufacturer contacted me directly. Her name is Shannon. She sent me a free box and the flavor was clearly different. It is possible the product I ordered from Amazon was old or not stored properly and thus tasted like plastic. I have used almost the entire box of Carbquick Shannon sent me. The biscuits are awesome. The pancakes awesome. The pizza crust awesome. I am going to make some bread next but need to order more. I will be ordering direct from the manufacturer to ensure quality of the product. Thanks Shannon for reading through these posts and taking action.

HOLY MOLY!!!
I've been following the Carb Nite Solution protocol (by Dr. Kiefer), eating ultra low carb daily (less than 30 net grs) and having a bakery from home I came up with a mix of my own, however, because low carb flours are also gluten free, they require a lot of moisture and even then, the final product was never 100% to my satisfaction. So by mere curiosity I decided to try this flour, thinking it would be as good as mine, but boy was I wrong! This is like normal wheat flour, doesn't have an after taste, doesn't crumble, doesn't dry. So far I've made pancakes and naan breads and I could not be happier with the results. I don't miss bread too much but now that I have this, I will be subbing all the flours I use, even for the stuff I make for my daughter! I am in shock there is such a product. I wasn't paid by this company to write any reviews, I am doing so because I know what is like to make sacrifices to be healthier and if you're reading this is because you know those sacrifices too (or you're about to) and I want you to know this is your best bet to eat 'normal' again.

Tastes great
Really great product. Tastes just like Bisquik but doesn't rise quite as well. Adding 1/8th teaspoon of Xantham Gum per serving gives it much better rise. Seems good for keto.

My Savior!!!!
This stuff SAVED my Keto diet in about 15 min. I paid for the rush shipping because I was at my wits end trying to live without bread and it arrived right on time. I immediately opened it and found a box covered in recipes (inside and out), I opted to just go with plain old biscuits for my first time and it couldn't have been easier. Simply mix the Carbquik with water, drop in spoonful's on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 12 min and presto you have BISCUITS! Real tasting, smelling and feeling biscuits! I covered mine in butter and homemade sugar free strawberry jam and I was instantly given the boost I needed to continue this way of eating. I can't wait to try all of the other recipes (including pizza crust, cheddar biscuits, cheesecake, chicken parm, etc.). This product has truly saved me! I highly recommend!
