Fancy Feast gets a bad rep- but the classic pate is actually a veterinary recommended wet food for diabetic cats. Honestly one of the better 'less expensive' wet foods! Not full of filler crap. And if you're trying to get weight on a picky cat- you do what you need to do!

love this classic chicken. my cat has allergy to wheat gluten and fancy feast classics have no wheat gluten. Thank you Fancy Feast

My cats love this chicken pate, but it has alot of grease in it, so I mix with dry. They share one can per day. Cats will gain weight on this food.

We have two cats. One is a picky eater with a delicate stomach, so she gets the final vote on the food that is served to both cats. We tried all of the pate Fancy Feasts, because they are supposed to be the most nutritious choice for this brand, and this chicken pate flavor is the only one she will eat and not throw up. Choice made! We also feed another brand's more expensive grain free turkey flavor (canned) and a small amount of that brand's dry food so there are three varieties fed every day with a few greenies as treats before bed. We've been feeding these three foods for years now and both cats are healthy with loving (for the most part!) dispositions. We appreciate that this choice is more affordable while providing a nutritious wet food for our beloved feline family members.

Unfortunately, my two cats have sense passed so I've stopped purchasing Fancy Feast, but in their final years, it was all they were given. I had a diabetic cat who was taken insane amounts of insulin on a daily basis, and still seemed to be in such horrible shape. I got on the computer one day and did some research and found how the ingredients in certain cat food can compound the issue or really almost correct the issue. I found a site that gave recommendations, and there were just a few of the seafood variety of Fancy Feast that fit the bill. (I think flaked tuna?) I started giving this to the diabetic cat, this and nothing else. Within a few months, she had a seizure. When we went the vet, it was because her diabetes was doing so well we were giving her far too much insulin. The food did this! I don't recall exactly, but we must have reduced her insulin by 80%. Without a shadow of a doubt, Fancy Feast helped me to give my cat a few more years of high quality life. There was only 1 or 2 cans that worked though, so if this is something you are considering get on the internet and research it! It could save your cats life.

This is my cat's favorite! I have tried many different kinds of food for my cat. Wet food is so much healthier for a cat to eat due to the water in it and the fact that it has less carbs than dry food. I urge every cat owner to research the health and lifetime benefits of feeding your cat wet food. With all that being said, my cat prefers pate food over chunks or minced. I have tried meow mix, friskies, and Purina of various flavors in addition to different variations of fancy feast. This chicken pate seems to be her favorite. Though she will eat friskies prime filets also. I like the fancy feast because the cans are the correct portion for a cat. My cat is under a year and pretty active, so I give her almost 3 full cans a day... Before work, after work, and right before bed. She's used to this schedule. She eats no dry food, though I do give her a couple temptations treats a day. She likes the chicken flavor. She is a healthy weight. I would just cut back on the food if I notice her getting heavy, but like I said she's very playful and active.

My older cat loves this stuff. She has tooth and gum issues and is pretty picky and will not eat most wet foods for more than once or twice. But this one she can eat every day and not get tired of it for some reason. For me, it's less stinky than the beef, tuna or salmon flavors.

Subscribe & Save makes this affordable and convenient! A favorite flavor for my senior cat. No more lugging from grocery store and no more frustration because the flavors preferred are not in stock. Quantity plus S&S discount make this unbeatable for me.

Fast delivery, reliable product, better price than in stores. FF classic chicken is what my vet recommends for my overweight, allergy-prone cat. High protein, low carb, better ingredients, and apparently very tasty.

Good price, good amount, satisfies the appetite of an old cat. Healthiest food for a very old cat? Probably not - but it makes him happy. And that’s all that matters any more.
