Before I ordered this chair I had just the basic office chair with no armrests. I work from home and I am in the chair close to 8 hours and I literally would have to just lay on the floor every now and then to stretch my upper back. I was constantly leaning over to call and type and my posture was terrible. I honestly couldn't sit in the chair for more than an hour at a time if that before my back was killing me. I put this new chair together in about 15 minutes and with the height of the seat and adjustable armrests and tilt features; I have had 0 pain in my upper back. This is the best purchase I've made in a long time. Its very well built, sturdy, firm yet comfortable and the back is very comfortable. The mesh cushion seat and mesh back is very cool and doesn't get hot so its always comfortable. I find myself hardly ever getting up which has been an immediate improvement to my work quality.

I wasn't expecting it to be such a "smart" chair! I'm really tall and have lower back issues and this chair adjusts in so many ways, I've found a perfect potion to take pressure off my lower back. I've paid SO MUCH MORE for chairs that had NO FEATURES and TANKED in a year... this seems like a sturdy chair. Side note: what a novel idea that all the screws and washer are THE SAME SIZE... making it SO EASY and BRAINLESS to assemble. WIN!

This is a great chair for the price as you can see by my post I haven't had in a long time, but it was easy to put together and works well in my office. I usually have about 4 to 6 hours of sitting for my job every day so it was nice to have this chair

Update on 9/04/2018 It's been about 14 months now and it's still as great as day 1. No problems. So far (it's been 3 days since assembling and using) I am very pleased with the chair. At first I thought I got a box that had already been opened because the parts were not packed very snugly and I couldn't find the directions to begin with to check that I had all the contents. Checked the hardware box, then finally found the directions underneath the seat cushion. Turns out everything was there and no parts appeared to be damaged. The directions leave a little to be desired - for instance the orientation of the arm rests, which are slightly different in front and back, were not identified in the instructions at all - so I just picked what I thought would work best. Other than that, it was very simple assembly. The biggest question was how much to torque the screws in that hold the arm rests. You can't rock back and forth in this chair, but that's not what I want when sitting at a desk working on the computer. Finally I have some lumbar and back support unlike other cheap chairs that have the back at a permanent lean backwards. This is not a $1,000 ergonomic, fully adjustable chair, but it does get much of the way there. The rollers are very smooth, even on carpet (low pile). Some people complained about the arm rests being flimsy and getting loose or breaking off. Yeah, well if you use them to do pushups on and put all your 300 lbs on them when getting up, well, yeah, they might just snap off - so don't do that. I use the arm rests to rest my arms. All in all I am very pleased with the purchase, but it is early yet. Hopefully I'll remember to come back and adjust this review if there are any major issues. The seat cushion is very comfortable and the mesh is very nice for breathability. The adjustments seem to work very well and seem quite sturdy.

I'm a big girl. Not gonna lie. But this chair is super sturdy. The adjustable range is amazing, I can sit in it for hours! My 6'5" son broke the plastic back support on a cheapo, brand new, desk chair I'd recently bought just by stretching - I tried to spend less money, so I got one from walmart, stupid idea. Since it was a tad narrow, and the arms were too low for me, I didn't cry too much. The next one I got, wider for sure, but again, the arms didn't go up real far, and it's really not comfy. It tilts, but eh. Cost $105 (don't tell my husband). We do use both still, just the first, broken, one is for my 7 year old, the second is at my computer where it's used by all. THIS ONE was cheaper than the last one WITH the 3 year protection plan! (which I got *glares at son*). I. Love. It. No one else gets to sit in it. My wide butt fits with room to spare. The telescoping arms have an actual range. The 3 awesome functions? Locking. YES! I need the chair to sit back slightly for comfort, and this works. I've been using it in my workroom since I started got it on May 18th and, aside from some lint on the back from my robe, it looks brand new. THIS IS THE ONE! --------------Please note-------------- As with MANY products that are sat/climbed/laid on, you need to check the bolts once in a while and tighten if necessary. I didn't really tighten down my bolts to start, one backed out all the way and fell lol but after putting it back and snugging them all in a bit more, I've not had anymore problems. Still, I just do a check once every 3 - 6 months. **update** Just bought another one of these for my PC desk, even though the sale was off. Still worth it! **update** Aug 10, 2018 Here it is, 15 months later and this chair is still going strong! I bought another one for my oldest around 6 months ago too. Though, right now, it's priced nearly $40 higher than I got this one for, i'd buy another in a heartbeat if I needed it.

Absolutely love it. I have sacroilic joint issue and this relieves my inability to sit by about 80%. The cushioned seat is very thick. It is more than twice the thickness of a regular seat. The back is adjustable as well as the angle of the seat along with the customary height adjustment capability. Base at wheels is sturdier than most I've seen.So glad I bought this.

I recently purchased this chair from Amazon and I am extremely happy that I did. We had these kinds of chairs in the conference room at work so I knew they were comfortable. If you want a comfy office chair, look no further. I am also a big man 6'4" 260 and this chair has high enough back for me and holds me just fine.

For the price, this chair can't be beat. Seat cushion is nice and thick and great for long term sitting and the mesh back is very comfortable and allows your back to breathe. Great lumbar support as well. Just about every adjustment you would want is available with this chair which makes it highly customizable to your body. Like others have posted, the instructions are pictures only, but in my opinion, this makes it easier to assemble since there are only a few major parts. It's very easy to understand and requires no skill to assemble. Three screws for each arm rest, four screws to attach the back to the seat and everything else just slides on. All screws attach using the Allen wrench provided. All in all, it took about 10 minutes from unboxing to complete assembly.

I was impressed by the overall comfort and quality. I got the grey color and I think it looks great. Assembly took about 15 minutes and had no issues putting it together. It comes with an Allen wrench for assembly, so no additional tools were required. Seat and back comfort is very good while still keeping enough support to feel like you have a good posture. I am 5'7" and my feet barely sit flat on the floor at the lowest height setting. I would be concerned if I was shorter, guess I would have to buy a foot rest/platform to compensate. I would purchase again. Can't beat the price and comfort/quality. Only issue I noticed was how bad the packaging was - luckily my chair arrived with no damage, but the exterior carton had been beat up a bit and the cheap Styrofoam and thin cardboard interior packaging was broken up and all over the place when unpacking. If the carton had received more abuse I don't think my chair would have made it to me in the shape I got it. Modway should definitely look into improved packaging to match ISTA standards for parcel shipments.

I love my chair! All the adjustments you can make allow me to be quite comfortable for hours. I had back problems with my dining room chair with a cushion, so this really helps. Also, I had planned to buy a floor protector for my hardwood floors, but the rollers on this chair don't seem to hurt the floor at all. Also, the price for this chair, shipped to Hawaii is amazing. Amazing Amazon! Postscript: After using this chair for several months, I still love it, and my back (I have had lower back problems for years) hasn't bothered me since. Maybe my best Amazon purchase!
