These storage bags are amazing. PROS: They lie flat, which makes freezing them and storing them a cinch. They hold quite a bit of milk, which makes them economical. I usually freeze 4 ounces in each bag and have plenty of room left in the bag. The material is not quite thick but not too thin either. I have not had any leakage problems to date. I have unfrozen approximately 100 bags to date and have not had a problem yet. The price is good. You get a lot of bags for a cheaper price than their competitors. The spout on the bags makes pouring pretty easy. You just have to hold the bags pretty steady when pouring them into bottles. I recommend using the pump horn as a funnel. CONS: In order to use a bag, you need to tear off a perforated top. If you are like me and you freeze a few bags each day, You get a lot of little plastic pieces on your countertop. It can be quite annoying to make sure it doesn't end up somewhere where it shouldn't be. Overall, I continue to recommend them and purchase them.

EDIT: I changed my rating from 4 stars to 5 because these bags are MUCH easier to remove air from than any other bag I have tried. Pinch bag just above liquid level and it's almost like a static cling occurs and helps to seal the bag with minimal air. I also noticed that a few of them have leaked at the corner of the zipper when pouring milk out so I just flip the bag the other way and pour out the other side. I gave the product 4 stars instead of 5 because it's basically triple sealed and it's a pain to get them open especially if you were doing it 1 handed. There's a top piece you tear off and throw away which all bags have but the top also has a perforated seal as well as the double zipper which is annoying. I prefer target brand bags. Cheaper and easier to open 1 handed. So far, no leaks.

Before my daughter was born I knew I wanted to pump in addition to breastfeeding and store as much breastmilk as I could so I didn't have to pump the entire 6 months to a year I wanted her to get breastmilk. These were the only bags that were consistently top-rated on various websites and blogs I read. Even though I use a Medela pump there is now an adapter from Lansinoh that lets you pump directly into these which is a time saver (especially for this middle of the night pumping sessions!). My only complaint is the measurements on the bag don't seem to be accurate, my Medela bottle shows one volume, these bags a second, and the bottle I ultimately feed my daughter gives me a third. I guess nothing is completely accurate but it would be nice if these had better measurement markers on them and not just every 30mL.

I love these- I have a bit of an oversupply of milk (purposely), so I freeze breast milk a few times a week. I've never had any issue with the bags not holding up in the freezer. I only put 6oz in each bag, as the company suggests, and I leave a tiny bit of air in the bag for expansion- no explosions in the freezer, ever. I wouldn't want any of that precious liquid gold wasted! The bags have lable at the top of the opening of each bag where you can write when you froze the milk and how much. I like that this is at the top of the bag and not on the middle- much easier to read when looking to thaw out the oldest milk first. Love these bags, will continue to purchase.

My pump, the bottles I use, and nipples are all Medela, so when I had my first child, I only used Medela bags for the first few months. When I went to the store to purchase more one day, they were out of Medela bags so I had to go with Lansinoh bags. I’m glad I did! These bags are great for freezer storage as they store flat (Medela bags do not store as flat so it’s difficult to store them in the freezer without taking up a lot of space). The material is thick so you feel confident when you put your “liquid gold” in the bags. Now that I’m onto my second child, I will not use a different bag than the Lansinoh bags. I want to feel confident that I will not lose any milk when thawing the bags, and Lansinoh has given me that confidence!

These breast milk bags are the best ones that I have used. They give a spot for the date, time the milk was pumped, who's milk it is (for daycare) and how many ounces is in each bag. I have tried toys r us brand, target brand, and Medela bags as well but the thing that I love the most about these bags is that they are not as thick of plastic as the other brands, which at first I thought would be a downfall but now I love because it makes the milk warm up under hot water 10x's faster than the bags that have the thicker plastic to them, and when you are holding a crying baby who wants to eat those 2 minutes longer takes a lifetime. The other things that I love about these bags are: the double ziplock-some of the other bags that I have used in the past have leaked out milk all over my diaper bag, but because of the extra seal on these I have not had any leak out. These bags can also hook right up to your pump which eliminates a lot of bottle washing. The last thing that sets these bags apart from the rest is the pour spout that these have on the side. It makes the world of difference to have a spot to direct the flow of the milk, they are so much easier to pour the milk out of making it mess free as well as a one handed task instead of two hands.

I recently switched from Medela milk storage bags to Lansinoh bags, based on online reviews and recommendations from friends. Many of the Medela reviews said the bags gave the milk a plastic smell, strong enough that some babies were even refusing the milk. My baby has generally taken the Medela milk, although there was one time when she was not happy with the milk (but her fussiness could also have been reflux or gas, it's hard to tell - I didn't think about it being the taste of the milk until I read these reviews and realized that was one of the few times I'd fed her frozen milk and also one of the few times she's been fussy while eating). However, this made me nervous about the quality of the frozen milk. The main complaint I saw with the Lansinoh bags was that they seemed flimsy and don't stand up. They are definitely not designed to stand up the way the Medela bags are, but this actually makes them MUCH easier to store in the freezer, which is a big part of the reason I will stick with them. My frozen milk stock has gotten big (I'm saving up for when I go back to work), and the Medela bags were falling all over the place because they won't stay stacked on top of each other. I can't freeze them standing up because I will run out of space very quickly that way, and they don't freeze flat lying down so that they slide all over each other when the stack gets big. I ended up having to put them into bigger bags in the freezer. The Lansinoh bags freeze flat and stack easily on top of each other, so I will be able to store more of them and without so much frustration. It doesn't bother me that these bags don't hook up to the pump like the Medela ones do. I pump into bottles and pour into bags anyway, to make sure I am getting an accurate read of the amount I'm storing, and to store the exact quantity I want. With either bag, I would recommend pumping into a bottle and pouring, because markings on a bag won't be fully accurate no matter how good the bag is, since the sides are flexible. I also like that the Lansinoh bag has space for the name, time, and amount on the bag in addition to the date. I was writing this information on the Medela bags but running out of space for it all. The designated space for this information on the Lansinoh bags is also good for new mothers, who may not know to include all this - it took me about 25 bags before I realized I should be writing the amount and time on the bags. The markings for amounts are not accurate on either bag, and once they freeze you can't read the markings anyway (the milk moves). The Lansinoh bags have a double-seal zipper, which helps prevent leaks and seals the milk better. Lastly, I feel much more confident that these bags are sanitized for my baby. The Medela bags don't say anything about the bags being pre-sanitized. They give directions on sanitizing the adaptors but not the bags, so I assume the bags are sanitized, but it doesn't specifically say it. The Lansinoh bags SAY they're sanitized, AND they have a tear-off seal at the top of each bag so you KNOW it's sanitized when you open it. For neurotic moms like me, that's what I need for peace of mind.

I read a lot of reviews before settling in which bags to buy. I hate the idea of single use bags but these are far more practical to store space-wise than glass containers. The bags are easy to use, they come sealed (you just tear off a little portion on the top) so you know the bag sterile and they stand really well when pouring milk in. The measurements are easy to read and they have a convenient space to write the date and time you pumped, the amount in the bag (since you’ll be laying the bag flat to freeze) and name (which is essential if you’ll be sending milk to a daycare/sitter or even if you visit someone where there is another baby in the picture). I clip a Sharpie right on the box so I always have one handy to label right away. This box comes with 4 zip-top bags filled with the milk storage bags which makes it easy to keep some at home, some in your pumping bag and some at work, if applicable, while still ensuring they are safe and clean before use. They are space efficient in the freezer and I’ve had no issues with leaking. I use a spectra pump so I don’t pump directly into the bags but it’s so simple to just pour the milk in from the bottles that I didn’t see a need to spend money on or store the adaptor. Overall, highly recommend these bags!

I have been exclusively breast pumping for almost two months now since my son is at the NICU so I need to freeze my milk. After doing some research I concluded that the Honeysuckle bags were the most bang for my buck while being of quality. However, they can get expensive for those who have to exclusively pump like myself. So last week after I noticed I was running out of the Honeysuckle bags I decided to give Lansinoh a try since they are amazons top rated breastmilk storage bag. After I received them I immediately wanted to return. I was not pleased with the bags when I compared them to the Honeysuckle bags. So 2 days ago I logged on to Amazon to do a return. Turns out that they gave me an option to exchange them for the new and improved bags! The edges are now wider and the bag seems thicker! I am so glad lansinoh listened to its customers who had complained about the milk leaking because the edges were too small. I feel that everyone who left a bad review should give these bags another chance now that they have improve them. They are honesty the best quality for the price. I will no longer be purchansing the more expensing Honeysuckle bags because the new lansinoh bags are just as well made if not better! Thank you thank you!
