Wish I could give more stars !!!!! Absolutely nothing was killing the ammonia that was in my bettas tank until this!! I used this after doing a complete Water and filter change cuz my betta has gotten sick so I needed a clean tank for him but the ammmonia just wouldn’t go away no matter what I tried ... until this mirical !!! It also came faster than it said it would which was a life saver !! This stuff is amazing and it only took a couple of hours for it to make the aquarium safe for my betta !! Get this if you are setting up a new tank or redoing the tank

It really works. I had to move to another city, and I was very concerned about moving my 55-Ga freshwater aquarium. I couldn't afford cycling it again while my poor fish would sit in the jars. So I got this quick start, and it really worked - at least nobody died!

This stuff is amazing.

I recommend combining this with an old filter media or sponge from an older tank, maybe some bits of gravel, rocks or plants from an old tank. Then adding this into the mix. This should be enough to start a tank cycle naturally in a very short period of time without the need to condition the tank for an extended period. I've had good luck with this and 'messy' fish like Oscars, which means it really does do a good job. I recently had to change out nearly all of my tank water (Oscar and Catfish) and broke the cycle. Adding an old filter and this into it seemed to restart the cycle without any problem as long as I kept my feedings at a lower level (slightly) than normal since Oscars are exceptionally dirty. Ordered up a second batch and plan to use this with every water change to minimize the impact. My recommendation is on new tanks to follow their instructions. On water changes drop the dosage to 1/4 of recommendation. One battle should last a long time.

SAVES YOUR FISH & AQUARIUMS

This helped save my Tinfoil Barb! I was in the midst of changing my tank when i noticed one of my fish weren't doing great in the bucket i put them in to clean the tank. Well, i removed him from the others. He was floating on top upside down, not doing well. I put him in another pail with some of the old water and added about 1 long drop of this, and miraculously my fish popped right back to life! Definitely keeping this on hand!

Best cycling booster ever!

Best product to cycle or stabilize your aquarium fast. Remember even being the best, Cycling your aquarium is not magic. Make sure, before adding any living organism that your levels of ammonia and nitrites are stabilized. I am an old fashioned aquarist and would never add anything before making sure there are no risks of “new tank syndrome” or loss of beneficial bacteria. My case was the second and this product worked great!

Good Stuff!

So far the API quick start has done exactly as described. After about a week it has begun the bacteria cycle which cleared up the cloudy algae. All of my fish and plants are still alive and thriving. So far I've only used roughly 8oz from the 16oz bottle for my 400gal pond. Great product and I will buy again when needed.

I maintain two 5g aquariums at home and one at work and this is all I have ever used alongside Stress Time. The fish do great and I was able to add fish to a new stank immediately and no deaths!
