My search is over!!!

I had gone through quite the struggle to find a solution for our situation. Our dog sleeps in bed with us, and our baby sleeps in his crib in our room. So when the dog would move, his old collar would jungle so loud the baby would wake up and we all know that’s not ok because the baby wakes up enough on his own. So our dog, David, had been just roaming without a collar since. Which makes me so uneasy you know. Then we tried quiet tags, other collars, one that slides on and off, nothing was both effective and comfortable, it was one or the other. Then I found these. First, they said it would be here in up to 2 weeks. I was bummed about that but at this point I’ll do anything if it means we’re done with this collar game. Y’all, it got here in 4 DAYS!!! That’s all!!! What a relief. Second, the quality of the collar and the embroidery is absolutely perfect. This is exactly what I needed this whole time. It’s clear, easy to read, no jingles, and it’s permanent! I got the black collar with red print and David looks snazzy now y’all! Omg I just love this thing. So if you need to keep your dog quietly identifiable, this is for you! I’m just so so pleased! Wonderful product and service!

Perfect for my large dog.

This collar is perfect for my large, 75-pound dog. He is a working dog, traveling through wooded ravines and thickets of brambles. After two months of use, it is still in perfect condition, just a little dirty, with no signs of wear. The lettering is still as legible as the first day. If my do were lost, more than likely he would not allow someone to just walk right up to him and read a phone number on a tag. You can read my phone number on this collar from at least ten feet away, probably farther. This collar would allow someone to call me and report my lost dog without actually having to catch him. I highly recommend this collar for large dogs. Reading some of the other reviews, it seems there may be an issue with medium and small dogs because the numbers may be covered up when you shorten the collar. I can't address that issue one way or the other. I would definitely recommend this sturdy, attractive collar for a large dog.

Excellent product

Excellent product. Letters and numbers are perfectly visible. This is my third purchase from this company. First order was for both dogs. One mine one boyfriends. Second order was because I changed my cell phone number and therefore had to get new ones made. Unfortunately during that purchase I picked the wrong size. I picked small when in reality I was supposed to pick x-small. I let them know hoping they would maybe offer at least a 5% discount. Which they didn't. Which is fine because it was my fault. But a person can dream. As a small business owner myself I understand. Anyway, I then placed the order for the right size and it is great. My dog is a mix of Yorkie and Shizu. So when I tried the size small it was very uncomfortable for her to wear and especially sleep in. I got her a xsmall and it fit perfectly. I will definitely keep buying from them. I hope they come down on the price at least a dollar. It would make a big difference.

Smart flat collar and no more dangling tag.

I ordered this collar in the small size, and was disappointed to find that the adjusting buckle covered the phone number. The buckle also caused the collar to bunch up and not lie flat. So I cut off the excess, removed the slider/cincher piece, rethreaded the collar through the end clasp and sewed it on my machine. It took all of 10 minutes for a custom fit. Although it can no longer be re-sized without ripping out the stitches, my 11 yr-old dog isn't going to be changing her neck girth any time soon; so she won't need it adjusted. I did size it a bit too large, so if she tugs out of it I'll redo the stitching then. For now it seems to do the job. I was reticent to try custom fitting it, but it was really easy and looks good! Previously, I had a small metal tag for my 7# dog, which was almost as big as she is, and she hated it bumping her water bowl. Now, no more dangling noisy tag. This seems to be a quality collar. I ordered it on June 20, it shipped the next day, with a delivery ETA of June 27-July 2. Surprisingly, it arrived three days after I ordered it - fantastic! This is only the first day of use, so I cannot attest to its durability, but I am hopeful. Thanks GoTags!

Think outside the sizing chart!

This review updates my experience with the ID collar. My dog has a 16" neck, so I previously ordered a collar in size medium after consulting the sizing chart. Upon receipt of the collar, I discovered that the collar length adjustment slider obscured 2 digits of phone number ID when the collar was adjusted to correct size; since I purchased the ID collar primarily for easy ID, I found this unacceptable. I corrected the visibility problem by cutting the collar webbing at the slider and shortening the overall length of the webbing by about 3". Reassembling, and adjusting the collar to the correct size, the slider now was out of the way, providing unobstructed view of ID. I was satisfied until I realized that, since I had to cut and shorten the collar anyway, I could/should have ordered a size large instead; for the same price as the size medium, I would have a collar 1" wide instead of 3/4", with correspondingly larger buckle, leash attachment ring, and ID letters/digits. Chalk it up to my perfectionism: I decided to spend another $18.95 and ordered a second collar in size large. I anticipating having to shorten this one as I did the size medium; to my surprise, and here is the point of this review, I discovered that, by adjusting the slider until it touched the leash ring (beyond what the collar makers intended,) I was able to shorten the collar, without having to cut the webbing, beyond what the sizing chart indicated, and achieved a perfect fit with unobstructed ID. Bottom line: a size large will fit down to a 16" neck without modification, no matter what the sizing chart says. Even if you need smaller than 16", I recommend buying a size large and shortening it by cutting the webbing as I described above; as the owner of both medium and large sizes, I can report that the larger size gives: greater ID visibility; greater strength; easier adjustment; easier attachment of leash to, and removal of leash from, the collar, easier attachment of collar to, and removal of collar from, the dog.

Awesome customer service

I ordered these for my two dogs and was pleasantly surprised to receive them with a very quick delivery (even quicker than estimated). The quality of these is outstanding, letters and numbers look sharp. I went with black collars and then neon pink writing for one and neon green for the other. I couldn’t be happier. I did make a mistake when I ordered in that I unknowingly typed in the wrong area code for one of the collars. When the product arrived I was bummed about that but contacted customer service and they were quick in their response and offered to fix the problem for me, free of charge, even though it had been my error. I can’t recommend these collars from this company enough! Thanks for a great product and excellent custom service!

Love this collar

Love this collar. I went with this product compared to others because initially I wasn't sure what size to order but this site had the actual picture of the collar with the exact measurement which is extremely helpful!!!! The embroidery is awesome! I will for sure order another collar again. Also, it arrived in 2 days!

BIG BOLD TEXT - easy to read - well worth the cost.

When you find a stray or lost dog, it's often hard to get them to be still enough to let you read the tiny print of the phone number on a cute little bone-shaped metal tag. These collars totally fix that. The print is large enough to read from a distance, and (depending on the colors YOU choose for collar and text) extremely legible. I bought two of them. The collar itself is well made, and adjustable to a significant degree (i mis-measured one of my dogs, and ordered a collar too large for her, so the length adjustment partially obscures some of the numbers in the phone number). I would recommend if you were unsure of the size, order a size you're sure will fit, and just reverse the text and number (example "509 863 2290 MOLLY" rather than "MOLLY 509 863 2290" because with the first example, you will not be blocking the all important phone number digits if you have to adjust the collar smaller.

Takes away the worry of finding your pet even if your pet is micro chipped

I'm a licensed dog tracker, I find wounded big game, I have one of these on each of my tracking dogs incase the lead breaks. I also track lost pets. Every pet owner should have one of these on their pets even if you have your dog micro chipped. Your dog will be returned much faster if whom ever finds the pet just needs to pick up the phone and dial your number. If your pet is lost and someone finds him he will be returned quickly. In case of theft and the collar is taken off your pet. I would strongly recommend for people that have multiple pets that each pet should have something with their own scent on it. For example each pets very own brush that is used at least every other day or maybe an every night bedtime bandanna that is taken off before going out in the morning and stored separately from the other pets bandannas or brushes during the day. This way if your pet is stolen you can call a lost pet search dog and use the bandanna or brush to search for that specific dog. They can't search for an item that has multiple animal scents on it.

Exceeded Expectations...

My puppy is very active and tends to destroy or loose dog tags with ease. I bought two of these collars thinking that if they were cheaply made, I'd have ready backup. That was unnecessary as these collars are made well. They're fully adjustable, the embroidered print is easily readable, and the clasps are sturdy... If you run or hike out in open spaces, this is the collar for you.
