The title says it all. I would like to think that buying this scale is something everyone should do. The max weight is 25 lbs, so its applications aren't limited like some lighter duty scales. You can weigh anything from chicken you want to cook, or that package you want to ship with online postage. In any regards or application, I think that this scale is just perfect. Its sturdy, looks like quality, and comes with a ten year warranty. The construction is solid, and it even comes with a battery. There is a flap that lifts up off of the scale, so you can weigh envelopes, but the scale surface is big enough to accommodate anything that may cross your mind. When I mail things, I always overestimate the weight, and end up overpaying postage. I recently shipped two envelopes at 5 ozs each. Needless to say, when I got to the post office I found out that I only had 3 ozs between the two envelopes, so I paid for 7 unneccessary ozs. THIS SCALE ELIMINATES THAT PROBLEM, NARROWING THE WEIGHING DOWN TO A SCIENCE. The way i see it by the next two times that I ship stuff, this scale will pay for itself in the money that it saves me!

I bought this scale in January of 2015. It is perfect for light weight items and precise enough to accurately determine one stamp or more. It worked well for over 2 years then one day it stopped working. New battery didn't help. Sent inquiry to WeighMax and explained the issue. Without delay they acknowledged my request for advice, parts or replacement. The sent a new scale immediately and had it within less than a week. New scale works fine and it is refreshing to not only have a good product but, also know there are still companies that stand behind them. Thank you WeighMax.

Awesome scale. Does the job for my Etsy business. Weight calculated is exact to USPS scale. When it arrived I didn't realize how small it was gonna be. But works well for what I'm weighing. Small packages.

Functional scale at a reasonable price!

I bought this scale to weigh packages for items I sell through Ebay. This way I can print a shipping label at home and just drop off the package at the Post Office, without waiting in line. All the packages I will mail will be just a pound or two, so this scale is perfect for that. It is relatively compact, gives a very clear readout, and can handle different measurement units. I just mailed my first package today with the shipping label I printed at home. This first one, I had them weigh it at the Post Office to ensure that my scale’s weight was on-target. It was, but just to be sure before printing the label, I added 1 oz. to the scale’s readout, to be certain that the postage on the label would be sufficient. My only ‘complaint’ is that it would be nearly impossible to calibrate this scale if it was needed. Why? The instructions tell you to put a 25-lb. weight in the center of the scale for calibration. Now.......who in blazes has an exact 25-lb weight that will fit on this scale???!!! Ridiculous. Thankfully as I said, mine is accurate and does not need calibration. Lastly, the price is reasonable. It will do what I need it to do. Runs on battery, no AC adaptor, but don’t need that for as often as I’ll use it.

Love this little scale for Ebay shipping!

Perfect for my Ebay shipping. I was using little spring scales for small items, but they aren't always accurate. And for heavier items, I was getting tired of weighing myself (with and without the product) on my Weight Watcher scales. A person can look down at those numbers only so many times without feeling discouraged! (especially if you're holding a 10-pound package in your arms!) This accurately weighs to the 10th of an ounce for small items, but will weigh up to 25 pounds. Works great! (although the 9v battery it came with was dead, but easily replaced..not worth fussing over)

Excellent scale for a great price.

Excellent scale compared to some of the other scales that I have used in the past. I've primarily used this for smaller packages when selling things on Ebay. This product is very accurate and very light. I am very happy to have purchased this scale and would highly recommend it.

great scale for postal

This a good scale for postage. But I also wanted to weigh herbs. It doesn't show the odd numbers and with grams, It showed 3 grams, then 6 grams, then 9 grams. So, if you though the item was 3 grams, in reality it actually was 8 grams. But for postage using ounces it is fine. And it weighs up to 25 lbs.

easy to use, easy to handle and store.I particularly like the HOLD button which makes it easy to weigh larger packages which can be removed to read the weight.

Great for fostering kittens

Weighing kittens daily is important to be sure they are not sick. The thing is, kittens are super wiggly and it's hard to get an accurate reading sometimes. I tare the scale with a tall container so the kittens can't just walk out. This scale automatically has a "hold" feature that is on every time I turn on the scale (so I don't have to press a button when I want the hold to work). I have to either wrap the kittens in a blanket or try to distract them for a few seconds until I hear the "beep". Not the scales fault, it's just trying to be accurate and when kitten wiggles. I dropped my scale, and now I have to press the buttons really hard, but before I dropped it, the buttons responded as I would expect them to. No complaints, in fact I'm back to order more. Don't forget to spay or neuter your cat so I can stop having to keep buying scales for kitten foster homes. Please and thank you.

I purchased this scale to use in my business office. It has paid for itself by reducing the amount of excess postage we were putting on mailpieces to err on the side of caution and avoid the return of time-sensitive documents. The scale has been very accurate. On several occasions, we have used the scale to calculate the correct amount of postage then had the post office clerk weigh the mailpiece again to be sure. The weight shown by this scale has always matched exactly with that shown by the post office scale. This scale feels solid and well-built. It is fully operational, with the original included batteries, over a year after it was purchased. If you mail enough items that postage is a considerable expense, but not enough to justify the cost of a metered system, then this scale can help. I recommend this item, and I would buy it again.
