Within You and Without You..

I do not give 5 stars lightly. I can say that I got more quality in these amazing musical instruments than I dreamed I would. There is magic here, I'm not sure if I'm playing these drums or if they are playing me. They are so beautiful that you won't want to keep them put away, but give them an honored place where they can always call to you to play them. They came in a nice zippered carrying case and everything from tuning hammer to drum covers and of course the pillows to rest them on. They were thoughtfully packed in one big heavy box with added foam to protect them on the trip to Nevada from India. Look no further!

Sweet bird song and Thunder roar, from drums!

These drums are tuned, with a sweet singing, but I tried my bass drum beater to discover a roar from the copper dayan that outdoes the best of gongs in concert. (I didn't hit hard. The drum itself makes the sound, not the drummers fierceness.) There is far more range in these than one can discover in a day or two. The book helps one discover, but the teacher is the drum set. The price was tricky for my budget so I studied before purchasing.This prepared me for the mix of glamorous elegance and hand makers simplicity in the appearance. It did not prepare me for the presence of these drums in the room. The visual effect is indescribable, unless one accepts legends that a goddess of music owns the drums, not the human who paid the dollars. Then they look appropriate.
