I have had this for four years now. I use it every single day several times a day. I do demonstrations for my students and have them come up and work a problem from their student books. I love it for art and I rely on it for all other subjects. It is so easy to use! I am a lefty and put it on the right side then simply flip the image. It has been a perfect doc cam, and I highly recommend it!

Incredibly easy to use and functional

We were looking for a replacement for the old overhead transparency projector. We wanted a device that was portable and easy to use. This product could not get any better. We teach management skills to adults, and have participants do written exercises in class. We need to project their handwritten forms through the lcd projector. This product attaches to the PC and captures a full 8.5 by 11 inch sheet, with high resolution display. It also allows you to capture anything it sees as a .jpg file, or to even video your audience or other subjects. We are not very technical, and were really pleasantly surprised when the projector driver installed and worked first time. The zoom in and zoom out feature and adjustable camera position would allow you to project larger items as well. It folds up to about 3 inches by 8 inches, 1 inch thick and weighs almost nothing. If you're using it through the USB connection to the computer, you don't need the separate power cord.

Elmo Document Camera

The Elmo MO-1 Visual Presenter is the most compact document camera that I have ever seen. We have been looking for something like this for a very long time and now that we have it will use it frequently. This is a great product.

Works precisely as you would expect

I have had 3 different document presenters including a much larger elmo, an educational version, with a hard fixed arm. Large, does not break down but works well. That said, this smaller unit does everything the largrer unit does. Becuase it is not as largely, admittedly it is not as stable that is not to say this is not stable. I used one last year in a 5 week long jury trial and it was fine. For the price, what it does, and if size matters this is an excellent buy.

Almost fits in your pocket yet works like the GIANT ELMO's of old...

this thing is awesome.. it "almost" fits in your pocket. We bought it to use in a trial that had everything BUT a presenter. It worked great and, frankly, is better than a much older, much bigger ELMO that we have that we bought years ago. It worked right out of the box. Easy to zoom in. Lighting was great for our use. The fact that it is a sole source light might make you think that it is not as good a a dual light but we found it to work just fine (perhaps because of the advancement in optics)..

OK, yes, I spoil my granddaughter. She loves to play school with her friends and had this on the top of her Christmas list (right next to a Hover Board and a Large Beanie Boo stuffed animal; she's 10 and all over the place!) But if this promotes longer periods of school playtime where she's imitating her teacher, having fun and learning.. then I'm all for it. This was easy to set up directly to her TV to use as a monitor. The auto focus works very well. I've yet to try all the features, but since her teacher has one in the class, my granddaughter showed ME some of the features and how to use it.
