This is an awesome product! I live in a small apartment and the smell of my cat's waste could get overwhelming. I couldn't take it out to the dump every time I cleaned the litter box, so it would just sit in my kitchen trash and stink up the whole apartment. So the litter genie was a lifesaver! It gets rid of the smell, is so easy to use, and it really does last 2 weeks for one cat (who poops a lot). I just got another cat, so I'm not sure how long one bag will last with two, but it's so easy to change the bag and everything, I'm not worried about it. Also, my cat loves to sit on top of it hahaha added bonus!

This is an item I purchased for myself and I'm not sure why I put it off for so long! I have been looking to get one of these for quite awhile. I have two cats and I feel like I'm constantly scooping out the litter box and going out to the trash. Although I take the garbage out everyday the trashcan will stink from the tied off bag of dirty litter. This Litter Genie is great! It was super easy to put the refill "bags" in, its super easy to use and best of all it doesn't STINK! It's sturdy but not heavy to move around because it's made of plastic and it comes with the litter scoop and the pocket on the side of the can to hold it. I have issues with removing the litter "bag" from this Litter Genie. #1 The opening in the top where you place the dirty litter is to small. I am showing the top with a measuring tape. I also wanted to show a picture of the middle where it opens (pardon the dirty litter). This is from last night and this early A.M. I am also showing pictures of how to retie and create a new "bag". #2 It opens in the middle of the can and then I had to figure out how to the cut the "bag" without spilling any dirty litter. It feels like I have to pull the bag to far down to cut it and it uses more of the "bags" then I had hoped. I'm sure I'll figure that out to my satisfaction as I use it more. I hope this is helpful to you. All in all I highly recommend this Litter Genie.

I am stupid excited over this thing! lol. As the name implies, it's like a Diaper Genie, but for soiled cat litter! No more having to constantly walk to the community dumpster every time I scoop the litter box, because the choice was either that, or tie it up in a smaller trash bag and throw it in the kitchen trash can and have to smell it until the can was full enough to take out. It's just so much more convenient. I haven't personally had any problems with odor control using this, but if you do, a little sprinkle of baking soda in the bottom of the bag should take care of that. Initially I thought I wouldn't use the scoop that came with it because I expected it to be flimsy and honestly I really liked the scoop I already had, but the one that comes with it is actually really sturdy, easy to use, and is made to fit the opening of the can so no spills. I'm thinking now that I've used it, I will probably continue to use it after all. So all in all a great product and well worth the money. I highly recommend it. This thing has made cleaning out the litter box so much less aggravating for me. It also looks nice. Not like having a dirty trash can full of cat sh** sitting around.

In order to get out of the using plastic grocery bags for scooped poo, I decided to try this. Here are my observations: The grey & black is actually a dark grey and shiny black and is attractive looking. It comes with it's own scoop. A little holder sits in slots located inside the rim of the genie. The scoop that comes with it is only slightly better than the dollar store brands. It's plastic with a hollow plastic handle. It sits perfectly inside the holder. It comes with one pack of "trash bags" and the directions are fairly simple on how to place inside the unit. You tie a knot in the bottom of the bag, then fill it up with the scooped poo. After the bag is full, you will cut the bag (cutter inside) and tie it off and dispose of it. You then tie a new bag and start over. The size is small compared to my litterbox-see pics. Great for small areas. I just had another scooper break and though this one came with it's own, I wanted something with some heft that wouldn't bend or break. So I purchased: Sifter with Deep Shovel - Designed by Cat Owners - Teflon Coated and Solid Aluminum. "Perfect Scooper" with Free Holder. Solid Core Handle. iPrimio Patent Pending. BLACK https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BFOHQEC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 from Amazon based on another review. That scooper will probably last forever. It's very sturdy, has a solid handle, is slightly longer, and the scoop part is coated with teflon so that things do not stick. My cat has some heavy, hefty pee clumps and this will do the trick. It came with a wall holder, but it fits inside the genie scoop holder (it is taller than the scoop that comes with it and you can see the handle over the top. The scoop part is also slightly wider, but I don't see that being an issue. (See pic)

This is amazing!! Since I'm a first time cat owner I had no idea how unpleasant the litter box situation would be. I could not find an easy, convenient way to dispose of her number 2. The best I could do was doggie bags but I had to bring them to the outdoor garbage bin immediately, which was undesirable. Then I thought, maybe I could just use something like a diaper genie. To my delight I found that there was the same type of system for cats! This does a great job at keeping the smell contained, I can't smell anything! When I first changed the bag out I thought it was going to be terrible and that I was going to get a nice dose of the smell I had been containing. Fortunately, the system is designed such that there is minimal/no time that you have to have the bag open, so you can't smell anything even during bag changes!! The only negative, which still isn't a problem, is that the 'button' in the middle doesn't actually keep the system latched together. Though, like I mentioned, this isn't a problem because the only time I move the system is during bag change and I just carry the system by the bottom to the dumpster. If you are having issues with a smelly litter box I 110% recommend this. I use this in conjunction with a Breeze Tidy cat litter box and pine pellets and my house NEVER smells like we own a cat.

I love the convenience of the Litter Genie. It makes digging through the treasure box a quick and painless chore. You can minimize bag waste by clamping the bag with a couple of 4 inch zip ties. It's really the best way to empty the pail since the odors stay locked in and you're less likely to contaminate the outside of the bag. Make sure you cinch them on tight. They're rated for 19 lbs and I've never had one break open on me. I store the zip ties on the bottom of the genie pail so they're always where I can find them. I've also read some complaints about smell. Just spray some Lysol around the rim and let the Lysol dry on the plastic. It should keep bacteria from breeding under the closed lid.

This thing is amazing! Having to take little our three or four times a day was making me question how my two cats can still be so cute. With this thing twice a month. It retains the smell to where it doesn't even seem like o have cats in the house anymore. The feature of having a bag cutter inside so it's easy to keep the cartridge going is wonderful! I attached a photo to show max capacity. And remember

I LOVE this. I didn't know I would love it so much. My friend has one for her two cats, and her house never smells! She let me in on the Litter Genie secret. It's so easy and really makes my life easier. In fact, if it broke, I would buy another one IMMEDIATELY. Seriously. This thing is awesome.
