This will be a long review because I feel the product deserves it and I really want to express how thrilled I am. First of all, my hair is to my mid back, it's poker straight, it's not thick but it's not super thin either. My hair is IMPOSSIBLE to hold any kind of volume or curl, or it WAS until now. I'm 25 years old and throughout the ears I have tried it all. I have a $100 curling iron upstairs that couldn't provide me any sort of satisfaction. About a month ago I came across a 1/2 inch curling wand on clearance and just thought it was too good of a deal to pass up so I grabbed it for the heck of it. To my surprise I had ringlet curls that lasted 3 days! I kid you not, any other curl has left my hair completely flat in an hour (that is not an exaggeration.. (COMPLETELY STRAIGHT AND FLAT IN ONE HOUR). As much as I love the wand I don't want ringlet curls everyday. That's when I started my search for a new wand (had to be a wand since I was so thrilled with my new purchase). I did my homework for about two weeks before selectin this one. Most reviews were great. Two downfalls people mentioned was that it was too hot and the glove that's included is cheap. I know I need HOT for my hair and I have a glove of my own so they didn't bother me. I used the wand as soon as it got here and here's what I experienced. -It is an extremely hot product with no adjustable setting, just an on and off switch. That was not an issue at all. It was a bonus for me that it heats to such a high temperature. -The wand took maybe a total of 30 seconds to hear up and be ready for use. -The cord did not tangle the whole time. -The wand has a rest stand attached so the wand is easy to place on my counter top and it's not rolling around. The piece was not in my way either as some curling iron pieces have been. -The glove is a really odd material and I didn't use it, but I'm thinking it's some sort of better heat protectant material since the wand does get so hot. If the glove is uncomfortable or cheap as some reviews have said, go buy a $6 pair with the money you'll save on this product. -The price of the wand. Super affordable and I would pay $100 if I tested it before knowing the price. It's easily a $100 result. So the price is WONDERFUL. -Another thing I saw in some reviews is that it burns really bad and blisters when applied to skin. It's very simple, use a glove to protect your hands. As for the wand burning your arm.... If you take the time to learn how to properly use a styling wand you will never have it touch your arm. ANY heated styling product will burn skin. I did not have any burns when using this product. -My hair was curled in half the time it normally is when I use even a 1 1/2 inch curling iron. I'm covering less hair per strand with the wand and still saved myself a good 20 minutes. And I'm getting tighter curls of course. -I had previous hair spray left in my hair from the previous day before I used the wand today. I did not need to apply any more after because the curls were staying so tight. -I ran my fingers through my hair once I was finished and I was off with beautiful curls. The wand added volume as well up top. -It has none been 4 hours since I curled my hair and I still have fantastic curls! Again, any other irons leave my hair FLAT in ONE HOUR! I am amazed. 4 hours after received this wand and I am back on Amazon ordering more bed head wands in other size barrels. After years of countless sprays, amplifiers, body boosters, irons, and wands I have FINALLY found one that works for me. I could cry I'm so happy. If it works for me it can work for anybody! My hair has been out to get me for 20 plus years (I'm convinced) and this Bed Head Curling Wand has concurred what I thought was impossible. 10 Stars... I would recommend this to anybody and plan to use only Bed Head products on my hair from here on.

LOVE this wand!

I read so many reviews on so many wands that I felt compelled to write this. Short version: I LOVE this thing. The only drawback to this wand IMO is there’s only one heat setting (about 400 degrees) so if you have finer hair it may not be the best for you. I have really thick hair and usually need the high temp anyway. To address the reviews where people claimed they were burned.. honestly, the risk factor is the exact same as any other hot tool. If you’ve never curled your hair before, I can see being burned, but having used curling irons and flat irons for years, I thought this was super easy to use. I don’t feel the curls last any longer than with a curling iron, but I’m not quite sure why anyone would expect that they would. My main goal of using a wand was to avoid that clamp crimp you get with a traditional iron, and this definitely eliminated that. I haven’t used other wands so I can’t compare but I definitely like this one A LOT.

Curls fine hair

I was skeptical of all the great reviews but, this is the best curling iron we've ever bought. Finally a curling iron that gets my fine hair to hold a curl. I usually need a ton of hairspray and it still falls flat within an hour. With this curling rod I don't even need to use product. I've had curls last 2 days!

Great wand for curly beach look

This just might be my favorite of the 6 curling wands I own. What I love about this one is that it makes natural like curls. Natural curly hair isn't perfect and uniform and this gives that spiral natural yet beachy curly girl look. Heats up fast and is easy wind your hair around. I hold my medium textured long hair on the wand for a total count of 7 and release. Hold the blue handle in the up position and just wrap your one to two inch section of hair around it. It works best if you just wind the hair aimlessly around and don't put the hair in the groves but instead let your hair wrap on both the groves and the outer part of the barrel.

LOVE IT!!

Makes some tight cute curls! Very happy with it!! I don't use any spray or gel, and it holds alllllll day long! I will point out: it gets HOT!!!! Hotter than any iron (curling or straightening) I've ever had.

Best wand I have purchased!

Was sceptical cause other reviews weren't amazing but this is the best wand I have purchased. I have 3 others, a variety of sizes/shapes. Its great for fine hair cause the small taper up high adds body while the larger end keeps the length. Great beach waves. This is only like 7 curls total.

Love this curling iron

Love this curling iron. The one thing to note before purchasing: There are two models shown for the two different colors: Orange and pink. The pink is tapered (I have one and hate it. It is not easy for me to get the kind of curls I want which are loose waves) The orange one IS NOT TAPERED but 1 inch in diameter throughout the length of the barrel. The product title on the orange one says it is tapered but the picture is clearly not tapered, so I wasn't sure what I was going to get. Not tapered is what I wanted, and was happy that I received it as such. I have medium shoulder length hair that is very stubborn and straight (Asian hair texture as I have been told by hair stylists, Hapa and proud ;D) and this curling iron was exactly what I needed to create long lasting summer beachy waves. Here are some specs: -The cord is about five feet long -The plug is two pronged. -barrel length good for medium hair (about 7 inches in total iron length) Pros: -It gets really hot (My guess is in the 395+ range) -Heats up really quickly - curls super straight stubborn hair, much better than any other hair curling iron I have used (mostly conair 1" and 1.5" with clamp). - has stand and protected tip to keep the hot iron off counter tops - barrel size is constant 1" thickness and clampless which makes styling beachy waves really fast and easy - power cord swivels so that you don't end up creating kinks and twists in the power cord as you style your hair Cons: -does not have a heat adjustment, only ON or OFF (this is fine for me because I always use on the highest heat anyway, but it might be an issue for people that like to use lower heat temps) Overall very much love this curling iron and highly recommend it!

Best iron I own.

Probably the cheapest curling iron I have ever bought and it I actually the best. I was concerned when I realized I couldn’t adjust the temperature but it self adjusts and it’s perfect. It is even better than my 75$ hot tools iron. I use it everyday! Perfect for those messy waves

Awesome wand for soft curls!

Heats quickly, easy to use, works great for thick medium to long hair. I wouldn't use this for shorter than shoulder length hair, it's hard to wrap short pieces around the barrel. I would use a tapered barrel or smaller barrel for short hair.
