I've been using this for three years after confirming with my vet that my dogs chronic ear infections were yeast based. My only wish is that I could buy this in bulk! This magical solution has saved me so much time, energy, worry, and money because it provides instant relief for my dog and ultimately cures even the nastiest of infections within a couple weeks. I keep it in stock at all times since it keeps my dog out of the vets office and off of antibiotics and steroids.

This is the first time I have ever written an Amazon review. I adopted a 13-year-old, starved, cancer-ridden pit bull mix last May. Lucille The Ancient Cancer Dog was a mess. We had the mast cell tumors removed and she seemed happy enough, but her ears were chronically infected, with scratching, rolling, and shaking her head. Three trips to the vet, two otomax insertions, pills for yeast, pills for allergies, pills for antibiotics, hundreds of dollars in vet and prescription costs, and she was still flat-out miserable. I picked up this stuff based upon the reviews. ONE APPLICATION. ONE. It's so obvious that she's feeling better. We still have a ways to go, but I'm hopeful we're over the hump on the ear infections. Lucy says "thanks" to Zymox for the good stuff. Pro Tip: it's oily, so don't administer it on your good bedspread, cuz she's gonna shake that oily stuff all over it.

My baby is a poodle/bichon frise mix. She is 5 years old and she got her first ear infection. She had dark brownish black wax and a horrible odor. This caused her to constantly scratch from irritation and she would scratch so hard that she would cut her ear. I knew it was an ear infection so I didn't want to take her to the vet and pay so much money for them to tell me what I knew. I searched Amazon and read tons of reviews and picked this one to try. I am SO happy that I chose this one because it worked wonders! After the first application she was no longer scratching and for the rest of the week it broke down all the wax and helped her ear heal nicely! 100% RECOMMEND this product! The first picture is right after I put in the drops for the first time and the second picture is after 7 days with one treatment per day. The skin it still healing but there is no more odor and no scratching!!

My parents' cat had a severe yeast infection that causes black caking that clogged her ear. The infection was so bad you couldn't really see her ear canal at all. They tried multiple medicines from the vet but nothing seemed to clear it up. I bought this and begin liberally applying it once a day. I didn't clean out any of the black gunk yet within 5 days it had almost complete disappeared. The cats also scratches less thanks to the hydrocortisone. I don't think her infection is 100% gone, so we will continue to use it daily for another week or so, but I can truly say this product is a miracle ointment. She's happier and we are too - we didn't have to spend a fortune at the vet.

This is THE best product I have ever used on my cocker spaniel who suffered from severe ear yeast. I tried taking him to the vet to have them cleaned and packed with a medicine they use but she wanted me to come a minimum of 2 times per week or she said the treatment would be futile. So the vet I was going to charges 50.00 just for the office visit, then her fee to clean them and the fee for the medicine. I only went once so I can't remember the other prices but it was going to be hundreds a month to try her suggestion. I then tried cleaning them myself for a year or so with cleaning solution for ears I bought at Petco but that did NOTHING. He would scratch and shake his head until his ears were bleeding and wasn't even able to sleep without being wakened by the need to scratch. I researched home remedies online and had continued with he cleaning weekly but then added Monistat (vaginal yeast cream) to the weekly routine. That kept about 20% of the yeast at bay with one ear moderately infected and one ear always severely infected. I went to Petco again to look for something after about 5 years of thinking nothing would ever cure his yeast. I thought maybe they would have discovered something new or a better cleaner. I found the Zymox along with several other products and purchased my first bottle there. I read the instructions and reviews online when I returned home and found out that you should not clean the ears so I decided to give the Zymox a try since it would be less labor intensive for me and less painful for my dog as he hates getting his ears cleaned weekly. I had to use the Zymox daily for over a month because we missed 5 days of the medicine during thanksgiving when we traveled out of town without the pets. I started over and it took approximately 3 weeks for my dog to have completely yeast free ears. I then went to maintenance drops once a week after Christmas and stopped the drops completely in January and have not had to use them until this week. The ear that had always been more infected has flared up again but it doesn't seem to be yeast this time. It smells different and is not a dark brown but a yellow tint, almost like puss. Anyway back to the daily drops and I am hoping that ear clears up quickly or else I will take him to the vet in case it's something the drops can't remedy. Save your selves tons of money and use these. Don't buy from Petco or Petsmart either because I paid twice as much as on Amazon. I have purchase 2 bottles from this site and paid half of what it cost at Petco.

I wish I could give this product a million stars! God Bless the owners of this product. It helped my dog so much. I noticed my Cupcake shaking her head, tilting her head in one direction and wouldn't let me near her ear. When I got a chance to look, it was bright red, irritated and her discomfort was obvious. She was lethargic, wasn't eating and kept hiding in a corner. I didn't know what to do. Vet would have costed me so much $$$ that I didn't have. Her pain was breaking my heart. I went on Amazon and started browsing and found this gem. Read the reviews and ordered it for "same day shipping" I followed the directions and applied it in her ear. It's rather thick, so shake it vigorously in the bottle and then fill the ear canal with the product. She didn't like it at all but I held her for about 10 minutes, massaging her ear and then let her run around. By Day 3...Her ear was noticeably better. The redness was going away, she was back to being normal. No head tilting. Day 4....she didn't mind me applying the drops in her ear and her irritation was completely gone. The instructions say to apply it for 7 days. I applied it for 6 days only. She is no longer in pain, her ear is healed and she is eating, playing and running around like doggies do. Oh my goodness....Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou for this product. You saved my Cupcake. The price was reasonable enough for me to afford. Cupcake thanks you too. Don't hesitate to purchase it. Your doggie will thank you. This product is amazing!!!!!!

Mile-0's ears were bothering him. I checked it out using an otoscope and could see dirt. Before treating him for ear mites, I decided to try Zymox since it claims to help yeast infections of the ears. (Both my cats had yeasty ears a few years back and the Vet sold me Tresaderm drops to treat the problem. $$$$) . We're on day 6 of using Zymox and so much dirt has come out of Mile-0's ears, it is unbelievable. They are now squeaky clean and I've seen him flip his ears only once today. If you have trouble putting drops in your cats ears, I recommend trimming nails, :-) , cutting the sleeve off an old sweatshirt and putting it on the cat, popping his head out the end, semi immobilizing his legs and, putting the bottle of Zymox in a cup of very hot tap water for a bit. Make sure to test drops on yourself before using on kitty. Mile-0 accepted the warm drops way better than cold! Hope this helps someone.

I normally don't write reviews, but I feel like I have to in case anyone else had a dog going through what mine was and going nuts trying to find something to help out. My dog (dutch shepherd) had a yeast issue in his ear since about a year after I'd adopted him. I took him to the vet for it a couple of times and the response from was pretty much, (not a direct quote by any means, just the general gist of the conversation) "some dogs get it, it is pretty much random, and there's no cure; you just kinda manage it". That sucks. Not for me, but it is definitely bothering my pup. He's waking up in the middle of the night scratching his ear and you can hear him sort of crying while he does it. When I go to clean his ear, I can tell he's been scratching it to the point of bleeding. I had been treating it. Multiple times a day and the vet said the product I was using was one of the more effective ones he'd seen. And I'm not bashing that product it all. It was doing a lot more for him than previous stuff. Anyway, I'm rambling, I'll get to the point... I was skeptical as hell buying it. 1.25oz when I was used to having to pour at least 1.25oz into his ear because he didn't like the drops in his ears. After the very 1st application I could tell it didn't hurt him to have the medicine in his ear. He also isn't scared of me coming towards him with the applicator. It used to require a lot of bribery via treats to get him to tolerate it at all. It has been about a month since I bought this. Instead of having to put medicine in his ear 2/day, after a week or so, it went down to 2/week. And less and less as time goes on. You can tell his ear feels a lot better and he hasn't woken me up in the middle of the night from his ear scratching in a while now. I still have about 1/3 of the small ass 1.25 oz left. I went through a little over 2 of the 6oz bottle/month before this. This product is so good that my lazy ass took the time to write a review. If you know me, that means something. If you don't know me, i don't know you either so I don't care what you think. If you want your dog's smelly, yeasty ear to not make you wanna throw up when you smell it, buy this. It is expensive (and I'm cheap), but if you divide the cost by the number of days your dog's ear doesn't want to make you throw up, it is cheaper than the air you breathe.

I've spent severa hundred dollars taking my Boston Terrier to the vet for his ear infections. His ears get really red, smelly, with a waxy brown discharge, and they itch so bad he scratches them until they bleed. It was literally so bad he would yelp in pain anytime someone touched him near his ears. During this time, vet prescribed some antiobiotic drops that did nothing, so we went back, got more medicine that seemed to help for about a week, and the problem came right back. Desperate, I decided to do my own research and saw the great reviews for this product on Amazon, so I decided to try it. I applied the drops once a day and after three days, his ears were normal. I continued to apply for three more days, just to kill off any lingering nasties. That was about a month ago, and so far, so good. No more gross ears. I should mention my dog has a grain intolerance and must eat grain free food. And I'm not one of those people that think grain is evil--I eat it myself. It took us months to figure out the grain based food was causing him to get red, irritated, itchy skin... so bad he scratched nearly all the time. The grain free food stopped the skin problems but not the ear problems. If your dog is having similar issues, this medicine is worth a try. And it costs less than an office visit charge for the vet.
