Great quality for the price
I was a little skeptical of how soft the bristles would be when I first got the brush out of the package -- they seemed a bit stiff. But upon use, I have found them to be very soft and flexible. They apply the blush very smoothly without creating any microexfoliations on the skin or foundation below. It is easy to wash the brush (I use one of those spinning brush cleaner things sold on Amazon and elsewhere, with a little Ecotools cleanser) and stand it on its end to dry. I'm very happy with the quality of this brush for the price.

This brush is really great for my concealer
This brush is really great for my concealer! I like it's a little fluffier and not small and flat. The brush being a bit bigger helps to cover more area and gives more control of application.

love it!
i love this setting brush for highlight. i use it all the time and i have not seen shedding. it is really soft and perfect size for what i need. i even tried it for light contouring. It distributes just right amount of product before using a larger brush to blend out. i don't like harsh or too much contour. Honestly real technique to me is one of the best affordable brushes on the market. I am planning to get a second setting brush for setting my under eye so i don't have to clean my brush literally every day.

Does exactly what I want.
Actually his girlfriend writing this (it was for me). I love Real Technique brushes for their variety of cuts and styles, while still having a lightweight handle and ferrule and always synthetic, cruelty free bristles. I own a ton of their brushes, but didn't have anything quite like this one. I love this one for setting powder below the eyes, highlighting, and precision blush application. I wouldn't minding owning and using three of these for my entire highlighting and contouring routine (I work in cosmetics and wear a "full face" daily). Definitely a unique brush to my collection. Currently, I use the RT Contour brush for my cheek contour, the Duo-Fiber Contour for my blush, and this Setting brush for my highlight and to set my concealer. Here's a photo of the three together to compare; they're dirty, too... sorry!

Real Techniques brushes are a Real Buy
this is a great setting brush, very serviceable and very affordable. Cleans up well, works well. One thing that I find that is advantageous is that it does not have a traditional ferrule. I have noticed that other affordable brushes that work well their weak spot is that the ferrule may come loose. I think it must be cheap glue. This design, although I don't find it attractive--there is no ferrule coming loose problem. I have bought a number of these brushes and I have nothing but good things--other than the design is not attractive--to say about them But then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so others may love the design as well

Good Makeup brush. Few Streaks. Does as intended
I've read the reviews that talk about how this brush streaks their makeup. Maybe I'm jaded, but I expect this to streak some (but not all) foundations. What I use this brush for is to get the foundation on my face without losing a lot of it on a sponge or having to rinse my fingers off because I'm applying with my hands. The brush could possibly be thinner, but I'm not going to split hairs. It's not super thin, but not thick. The angled brush allows me to slather some foundation around my eyes, under my nose, and by my hairline. If I'm using a brand that is streaking, I go back with a wet sponge and fix it up.

Great brush, great results, great price!
LOVE this Real Techniques brush! I never want to use a sponge, fingers, etc. ever again! If you have acne-prone skin like me, stippling will give you a much more even, flawless finish than any other method (as close to flawless as I can get, ha ha). I was concerned that using a brush might cause a breakout -- because everything causes me to break out -- but thought this one was worth a try because synthetic bristles don't hold bacteria and other gunk. I've used the brush for four months now, almost every day, and it has not caused any issues. (Note, I have also been careful about cleaning it regularly, as recommended.) It's also cruelty-free and cheaper than a latte! What's not to love?

This is probably one of the best brushes that Real Techniques has come out with
This is probably one of the best brushes that Real Techniques has come out with. The bristles are very dense, yet soft. I find this brush to be great at multi-tasking. You can use this for foundation, with a stippling or buffing motion. It doesn't leave foundation streaks at all, unlike their Expert Face Brush. The shape of the bristles even allow you to reach hard angles around the face, like the sides of the nose, under the eyes, or between the eyebrows. You can even use this brush to blend out concealer, or apply blush. But my favorite use for this brush is contour. I prefer this brush over my other contour brushes because it gives me a natural, diffused shadow under my cheek bones. If you like a sharp chiseled look, this probably isn't for you. But for an everyday, natural look this brush is the best! The Sculpting Brush is easy to clean and dries pretty quickly, since it is made out of synthetic fibers. I haven't experienced any shedding at all and I can easily tell this brush will last me years.

Soft, effective, and practical.
For even double the price, this brush performs so well. It is dense enough to blend well, but loose enough that it cleans up so easily and dries fast. I really love this brush. I reach for it very frequently, even over sponges. I clean this every few days using the same micellar water I use on my face. The bristles are long, which I think helps to keep water etc away from the ferrule, and they are quite soft. They are not as soft as the brushes I have from the bold metals collection, but I find this brush works much better than those.

Fantastic brush...
I love this brush and this brand. I have mac brushes that I really like but when I consider what I paid for them compared to this and other real Techniques brushes these are just a fantastic value. Had this for a year and it washes nicely. Mac girl told me solution of baby shampoo and mildly warm water is great to wash brushes and so I stopped buying brush cleaner and have used baby shampoo for 3 years. This brush works great for blush. I was skeptical as it was a very different shape from my previous blush brush from Mac but I really like the softness of it, the shape to apply blush to cheek, and the length and wand feel when using it.
