Save your back and reach higher
Perfect fit, adds higher reach and saves my back on decks and floors. I swap back to the shorter wand for vehicles, but this length is great for reaching higher and lower. I'm 6'1", and using this on deck surfaces, patios, and floors is far more comfortable than what's typically included with power washers.

Great washer! Starts from the 1st pull
Great washer! Starts from the 1st pull, lots of power for any wash - from cars to concrete driveway. I used it with the surface cleaner Yamaha ACC-31056-00-13 and my concrete patio, driveway, garage floor look new and shiny now! I use TORQ Foam Cannon to wash my cars and this pressure washer has no troubles making a good foam. Also purchased a quick disconnect couplings for the hose - that makes setup and shutdown way faster. The only problem I have with it (people mentioned in reviews before) - tip holder on the washer won't hold the tips. I always loose my green tip as it vibrates and falls out of the tip holder, so now I keep my tips in the separate container. Pressure washer pump oil needs to be replaced periodically and manual calls for 15W-40 which I could not find (except for diesel engines), so I called the Simpson support and they told me 10W-40 is fine as well. Make sure to run water thru it for at least 1 minute before you start it to get all the air out and about 30 seconds after you shut it down to cool off the pump.

Great !
I bought this extension wand probably the same reason everyone else has or close to it and that is for cleaning the driveway/sidewalk without having to bend over, the stock wand that comes with pressure washers are extremely short so when your cleaning the driveway or sidewalk you have to hunch over to do a decent job, with this extension wand no more hunching over is required, I haven't used it yet but I made sure it hooked up to the stock pressure washer wand and everything connects perfectly, highly recommended !

Nice hose
This is a well built hose , came with quick connect fittings on each end , one male and a female end. Since I was going to hook up my new hose to my pressure washer that did not come with any type of quick connects I had to go to home depot and get 2 F-M22 type quick connect adapters. Male type for the wand and female type for the pressure washer. These can be found right in the same isle where they stock the pressure washers. It took me awhile to figure out exactly what I needed to replace my 1/4" hose with this 3/8" quick connect.... so if your not sure either go to home depot and look for Store SKU # 719940 for the wand and Store SKU # 719610 for the pressure washer end. The connectors will have the same M22 connectors that your old hose used that's the part that goes to your gear and the other end will have the 3/8" quick connects that the new hose will use. Doing this will allow this hose to work on any normal pressure washer that comes with those smaller hoses.....

Excellent Machine - Powerful and Reliable
Bought an Excel 3100 (from Walmart - Amazon wouldn't deliver to my area) and it blew up in 35 minutes - seriously, 35 minutes! Upgraded to this machine and I am glad did! The Simpson starts easily and runs like a champ. First day out I used it for 6 straight hours, stopping only for fuel (gas for the washer, beer and a sandwich for me) and it never missed a beat. Have used it for a couple of hours on 3 other occasions and ran perfectly every time. It's really more power than I need but really happy I decided to go to the triplex pump and the peace of mind it provides in not having to worry about it failing or wearing out. Plus, I find I can run it with the throttle only midway and still get plenty of power, but with less noise. The low profile is great for storage. Mine seems even lower than what is pictured; the uprights on the handle are not nearly as long as the website shows. There is no way I can hang the coiled hose on the hook because the hose just flops on the ground even if I roll it into a pretty small coil. But it works for me because I can store the unit in a small space under a shelf in my garage. I really would recommend this machine if you have any significant power washing to do. The extra cost is worth it. p.s. If you are anywhere near 6' tall and are cleaning a patio or other ground level surface, get a wand extender to save your back. Like every other stock gun I've had, the wand is way too short to use comfortably - definitely worth the 20 bucks for an extension. Simpson Cleaning 80162 Universal 31-Inch Spray Wand for Cold Water Pressure Washers, 4500 PSI. And if you've got a little more in the budget, I would also really recommend a 50' hose if you are working in an expanded area or just want to get farther from the noise of the engine.Simpson Cleaning 40226 3700 PSI Cold Water Replacement/Extension Hose for Gas and Electric Pressure Washers, 5/16-Inch by 50-Feet (I just realized when I added this link that I bought all Simpson products! It just worked out that way when I searched for the items that got good reviews and met my budget. Really, I don't work for Simpson!)

Really nice washer, another level above residential axial pumps.
Oh man, what a treat, went from a Subaru residential to this. Packing is terrible as everyone has said, Amazon made it right though. The gas tank is pushed in due to the pull bar being turned around for shipping, probably upside down at one time, I'm certain of it, drops of oil on top of air breather, but due to packing I got a great deal, so I'm pleased as punch. Wanted the commercial grade Honda motor but wasn't to impressed with its starting, was no better then others. After I put in an E3 spark plug, it's a whole new animal, starts very first pull, stays running long enough (barely) to turn off choke before it dies, so it's true one pull start, as long as your read to turn choke off right away, that's the biggest thing for me with bad back and legs. The only things I'd like is a longer hose, 25' runs out quickly, also I wish it didn't jump/move every time the pressure increases (when you let off trigger and pressure builds in hose, machine likes to turn 15deg.) so it ends up all over on a clean concrete flat surface. Compared to the quality of the triPlex pump and GX engine, this can't be beat, if I wasn't compensated so well by Amazon I'd also take away a star due to the terrible packing done on these fine machines. It also really sips gas if you ask me, uses less then the Subaru that I got rid of due to its starting, just was a bear, night and day compared to the Honda. Use the Briggs & Stratton pressure washer can of conditioner for storage, works awesome, takes seconds, also use some type of ethanol treatment. Your SimpSon will last years. Update 6/1/15'. To date it has proven flawless, added quick connectors to water inlet and gun to aid in ease of operation, now I just leave side hose charged. (Buy quality metal connectors and not cheap plastic adapters in case you run over with vehicle, plus the better ones don't leak like lesser plastic ones do) It starts first pull for me, which is important for me because of injuries, you have to be quick to adjust choke for about 5 seconds then turn off to keep running, but once you get the hang of this and remember it's great one pull one start. Remember all PW's don't like to be idled while running, your not cooking the oumo with fresh water, that's where the temperature pressure valve comes in to play, as a retired pipe fitter I can attest these safety valves tend to leak after they have been blown once, they're made not to, it's best to not let them go off for a few reasons, future leaking is the big one) Make sure also your reviewing the right model too, I thought this one was now $399 and couldn't find my review, so I left another, only to realize it was for the GC-190 Honda mill which is much less a contractor model and uses a different type of pump also, axial style I believe and not this "TriPlex" design besides the residential motor. All in all really happy with this machine, posted pics of it taken the day I got it, the boxing literally fell apart in the doorway! That's how terrible packing is in these, that's one of the pics, another is the dented gas tank Amazon so generously stepped in and made it worth my while to keep it this way, and a third pic is a close-up of the venerable triplex style pump.

I call that money well spent.
I did a lot of research before buying this unit. I am glad i did my homework. I read bad reviews about it mostly related to the pump and customer service. I wonder if the pump problems might be from people not understanding that the thing needs to be primed with water before the engine is started. you can shorten the life or destroy a pump in seconds if it is not primed. It was packaged very well. It had great, clear instructions. I am impressed. This machine works exactly as described. I call that money well spent.

These are the best hoses I’ve ever used.
As a contractor I need high end equipment. Time wasted can ruin my entire profit margin. Having a hose blow out is the worst thing. This hose looks and feels heavy duty. I like the look is stunning and high quality. It’s thick and doesn’t attach easily. It has a woven core to ensure flexibility and pressure. Overall the construction of thisbhise is far far better than the typical Black power washer hose we are all used to. If you want to keep a hose for a long time. I highly recommend this product.

Great Power Washer, check the warranty
I've owned and used an EX-CELL 2004CWH ($720) power washer for 20 years, and finally blew the pump. I've only used the SIMPSON PS3228-S ($500) for 2 hours, so I cannot speak to longevity. The SIMPSON washer has earned the positive reviews you can read on the AMAZON site. The HONDA GX200 6hp started right up, and did the job. My EX-CELL had a HONDA GX160 5.5 HP, always ran fine. I cannibalized the GX160 off the EX-CELL before discarding, and stills runs fine. So while I can't speak of longevity of the GX200, I'm expecting SIMPSON's GX200 6.5 HP to be a good one, based on previous experience. I bought quick-disconnect connectors at a big-box home improvement store for $40 the hose and wand. Would have been nice if SIMPSON would have included, but that's OK. The wand is 6" shorter (31" vs 37") than the EX-CELL wand I'm familiar with. It works OK....but that's only for 2 hours of use. I saved the longer EX-CELL wand with quick-disconnect connector, so I have options. A word about the warranty....yours might be different. The "S" suffix on the SIMPSON model number refers to the market that the unit is sold in. Seems that the warranty is the key item. You can find the same power washer branded as a DEWALT at HOME DEPOT for +$100 more and get the following much improved warranty: 3 Years on HONDA GX engine, 5 Years on AAA pump, 10 Years on frame components, 90 Days on spray accessory items. The SIMPSON warranty that I have in writing (yours might be different) is: 3 Years on HONDA GX engine (warranted by HONDA, not SIMPSON), 1 Year on AAA pump, 90 Days on frame components, 90 Days on spray/hose accessory items. So if you're a warranty guy/gal, pay the extra $100 and sleep good at night. The only concern I have is the AAA pump, which seems to be manufactured for (by?) SIMPSON. 1 Year on the AAA pump is only good for one season. The SIMPSON washer comes with a rebate (5 weeks received) for a free bottle of $9.97 Ethanol Shield B3C Fuel Solutions LLC....a fuel stabilizer and Ethanol treatment. Local small-engine repair guys advocate Ethanol consideration. Another option is to use a higher Octane rated fuel which generally does not contain Ethanol. Of course at end of season, you'll need a stabilizer, or run the fuel out of the engine. Finally, just an overview of the economics. 20 years ago I paid over $200 more for a power washer that had a smaller engine (5.5 hp vs 6.5 HP HONDA GXs). Considering the time-value of money, frankly I'm impressed that I can buy a unit like the SIMPSON with free shipping, so cheap. I'd say that if you're considering a power washer for home use, this is a great unit. And again, you can pay an extra $100 for a better warranted unit if you are a worry-wart and need to sleep good at night. And a final thanks to all the other reviewers that helped in making my decision. Great reviews.

This is the right one.
I did quite a bit of research before buying this unit. I had also purchased a Generac 6590 from an eBay seller, but it was damaged during delivery and I returned it. I was impressed with how that unit was set up, but after doing some additional research, I decided to go with the Simpson. The Honda engine should be bulletproof and after going through multiple disposable electric cleaners over the years, I wanted to something with a triplex pump. Amazon shipping was fast and free, and my unit was packed well and had no shipping damage. One of the wheels had some damage, but it seemed pretty clear that it happened during assembly at the factory. I contacted Amazon and the immediately offered to take it back or refund me enough to replace the wheel. I accepted the refund and was impressed by how easily they handled the transaction. As far as the unit goes, I am very pleased. It was easy to set-up (read directions carefully, especially if this is your first gas pressure washer), and it started on the first pull. I also purchased an EZ Clean rotary surface cleaner (15") and this combination made quick work of my driveway and sidewalk. I would highly recommend getting one, it was a huge time saver and I was impressed with the results. This unit is exactly what I was hoping it would be. It uses quality components, it has a simple layout (pro in mind), it's small and relatively light, and has more than enough power to do what I need. Note, I have also ordered a 50' Simpson monster hose. The hose that comes with it is fine, I just wanted more reach, and with pressure washers, it is much safer to add reach with the pressure hose than simply buying a longer garden hose. Supply flow is critical to keeping the pump in one piece, and while you may have enough water pressure to supply this washer with a 50' hose, you probably don't have enough to overcome the reduced flow from an old 100' (or longer combo) hose. I didn't take any chances. My water supply is running through a 3/4" x 50' hose. I would highly recommend this pressure cleaner.
