Perfect starter tank
Easy to assemble. We've had it for about 4 months and no issues with the light or filter. I did purchase a filter sponge to add to the set. Small opening for feeding makes sure the kids don't sneak anything into the tank. Easy to clean just wipe with clean cloth any floaters/ murkiness is cleared up within hours.

Not for fish, but tank worked great.
Well, it did what I wanted it to do. But I didn't get it to be a fish aquarium. I used this as the main container for my vortex water fountain. But hey, it worked great, so there's that. The transparent bottom was a plus.

Love it!
First one I received was cracked down the side, I quickly requested a replacement and sent the broken one back. I was surprised how fast I received the new one which was in good condition. I love this tank, it looks so beautiful lit up with my two gold fish. We get so many compliments on the tank and are very satisfied!

Absolutely MostStriking Aquarium I've had in 40 Years of Being an Aquarist!!!
I have been an aquarist for well over 40 years, but wanted to downsize, and this aquarium is absolutely one of the best purchases I've ever made. I purchased a 12" high Oriental stand which supports 200 pounds and put this aquarium on it, and populated with live plants, the aquarium is strikingly gorgeous. One thing I love about it is that there are NO seams that one must watch for leaks; it's a molded unseamed aquarium so gone are the worries of leaks. Another thing I love is that there are 360 degrees of beauty; you can see it from all angles. There are so many positives about this aquarium that I can't even list all of them. The filter that comes with it is powerful and processes water faster than larger filters I have ever seen in the past, in all my experience. The LED light is spectacular, though I could have done without all the different color displays because my personal preference is an ordinary light, but it's a low-light which means that if you want to culture live plants, you need to be careful of what you get. Go to a GOOD aquarium plants outfit that can advise you on plants for this LED light. It also has a very good cover with two knock-out sections that you can remove if you put in more equipment than the light and filter that come with the aquarium. Now for the important news. This kit has the filter and the light with it. Don't think that you're getting everything you need with the kit. You must also purchase a heater (I suggest an adjustable one, not one that is preset), and a thermometer to monitor the heat in the aquarium. I added a UV sterilizer to cut down on the micro-organisms that cause disease in the fish and other livestock with which you populate the aquarium. It may not be necessary, but it will sure cut down on diseases in the tank. In addition to the heater, thermometer, and UV sterilizer, I was able to find an excellent strip of LED plant grow lights to turn on for part of the day for the plants. All of my plants, with this light being on for part of the day, are a beautiful green. You must also purchase a substrate. If you're going to have plastic plants, gravel will do. But if you're going to have live plants, you need something like Flourite Black "sand", or Flourite Black which have the nutrients you need for the plants. (Flourite also comes in a red clay color which I have in my quarantine tank.) Expect that you're going to spend some money on this aquarium. I also suggest an excellent power strip, preferable one which has individual off/on switches for each outlet. The reason for this is that when you add the nitrifying bacteria to season the water with beneficial bacteria, you'll need to turn off the UV sterilizer for awhile, and the power strip with the individual switces are much easier than having to unplug the item you want/need to turn off. As another example, I'm going to be doing some pruning today, and need to turn off all the electrical items; all I have to do is flip the switches instead of unplug and replug all the items. Get a GOOD stand that will support the weight of this aquarium. It holds six gallons of water, and this translates to 50.071 pounds, so a little stand won't do. Unfortunately, aquarium stands are not designed for round aquariums, so I went to furniture stores and ended up with the graceful stand that I have. Be aware that with the aquarium at 19" tall, you're going to have to consider not putting it up too high or you won't be able to clean it - and that's something else you'll need; a gravel cleaner/siphon system which is not terribly expensive. It runs on batteries. So the end is that this is a fantastic aquarium and system, but this will not be the end of your spending. Be prepared to do so if you want a beautiful looking tank that this aquarium will give you. If you want suggestions on the parts that I suggested for the aquarium - brands - email me through Amazon and I'd be happy to answer you.

The tank is a good size, I got the 6 gallon
The tank is a good size, I got the 6 gallon. 5lb bag of gravel works perfectly. I got a flat heater to put under the gravel, fits and works great! Would recommend if you're looking to save space and have a nice tank!

Great tank. I bought 2 of them to house each of our Betta's.

Great volume for a little space
We bought this tank for our kid's 3rd birthday. He loves fish, and a fish tank was a great idea. 6 gallons is pretty good on the inch per gallon guideline. We bought pre-established gravel, added aquarium plants and marimo balls, as well as a cave and cholla wood. We let him choose a betta, a small frog, and some small suckermouth catfish. We also added shrimp for color with low tank impact. The filter DID get loud after a week or two, but we had already purchased extra cartridges and just changed it out and it was fine. We've only had it a few weeks, so i'm not sure if they'll always need changed that regularly or if establishing the tank just burned through the first filter cartridge really quickly. It is plastic which means it can be one piece, but it also means it flexes if you try to move it at all, which is inconvenient. I couldn't quite get the light in perfectly, but it works well and our toddler loves the colors. We did add a heater, and purchased extra long tweezers. Overall, it takes up about 1 foot of table space and is pretty great starter size for tiny fish. It's really great for any solitary water pet (like a betta or frog), and could be a lot of fun as a shrimp tank. We opted on several little friends, and it's a really great little eco-system. If you're interested in larger fish or fish that will become larger, it's only a starter tank.

round shape distorts view, great tank otherwise
love the tank, easy to set up, light looks cool, and the lid keeps it quiet. only complaint is that the curve of the plastic really distorts what you see, so you don't always have a clear view of the fish. but i wanted round and the distortion can't be helped so i'll leave it at 5 stars.

Fast and as Expected
I read about scratches and non-working filter. Not the case the tank was inside a box, all parts, and a filter works perfectly. My only regret is that I did not know unlike the 3 gallon model the lights are not battery powered they have to be plugged in. I use this tank as a center piece for my kitchen island and it is perfect. I had a unfiltered tank that I had to clean every few days going on 3 weeks with added chemicals and it is quiet and clear.
